i still think as interesting as security breach's story is, it should've been a more standalone story instead of trying to be a sequel to pizza simulator. because pizza sim would've been the best sendoff for the main fnaf storyline with that fucking ending monologue. but steel wool really wanted those fan theorist points and money. and then ruin comes out and it very much doesn't continue on the fact it's supposed to be a pizza sim sequel, it's practically it's own standalone free game. it's weird.

Genre: Housemate AU
Pairing: Jongdae x (fem) Reader
Part 1 I Part 2
**
Things were much better between you and Jongdae after that night. The two of you went to dinner at a little pizzeria a few days later and then hit up an arcade afterwards. It almost felt like a date. Both of you were strong competitive spirits, neither willing to back down. If he beat your score on one game, you had to find another to outmatch him on. A good forty five minutes was spent at the air hockey table alone. And that night did not become a one-time thing.
Once the air was clean between you, Jongdae really became like your best friend. Often you would find yourself dragging him to a coffee shop to work on homework or calling to see if he would pick up a pizza on his way home because you were too lazy to do it yourself. He never complained about any of your requests, taking it all in stride and with a smile. And all that did was make you want to do it more. You loved spending time with him and the fact that he now seemed to like it too was making your heart race nearly twenty-four-seven.
The others in the house could feel the shift in the atmosphere as well. While Chanyeol and Baekhyun were more confused than anything now that you and Jongdae weren’t fighting anymore, Minseok, on the other hand, was very satisfied with the turn of events, often smirking at the two of you before he threw on a jacket and left out the front door or disappeared in to his room.
One Friday where you particularly drained from a long day, Chanyeol and Baekhyun were hyper and itching to go out.
“There’s a new brewery downtown,” Baekhyun told you excitedly while you lounged on the couch.
You were trying very hard to wordlessly convey that you were in no mood to go out without having to actually open your mouth.
“Its industrial themed and supposed to have three different flights to choose from.”
“Sounds cool,” you murmured unenthusiastically.
“I’m for it,” Minseok agreed, already pulling on a pair of tennis shoes.
Chanyeol was even more eager. “You don’t even have to ask me twice.”
“What about you?” Baekhyun asked, trying very hard to get you to agree with his signature puppy dog pout. Thank goodness you’d built up some sort of immunity to it.
“Baek, I’m really tired,” you whined. “I’m not in the mood to go out drinking and then carry your butts home.”
“We won’t get carried away,” Chanyeol promised as he leaned on the back of the couch above you.
“That’s what you said last time,” you reminded him. “And then I had to pay the poor cab driver because Baekhyun threw up in the back seat.”
Baekhyun jutted out his bottom lip. “I made up for it, didn’t I?”
You gave him the evil glare. “Burnt breakfast that you made when you were hungover doesn’t count as making up for it.”
At that moment, Jongdae emerged from his room, very obviously dressed for a night in with his plain white t-shirt and sweatpants.
“What if Jongdae comes?” Chanyeol offered.
“No, thank you,” Jongdae answered, not even looking at any of you as he went to the kitchen.
Sighing, Minseok stood up to his feet. “Come on. Let’s go before the brewery gets too busy. They’re not going to come no matter what we say.”
Baekhyun and Chanyeol gave in and followed Minseok out of the house, locking the door behind them. The smell of popcorn filled the air and just a few seconds later, the microwave went off. Man, the scent was making your mouth water. Before you could ask for a bowl of your own, Jongdae was already out of the kitchen and hovering the bowl in front of you for you to take.
“Movie night?” He even wiggled his eyebrows at you.
Laughing, you took the bowl, not even waiting until he was sitting down to begin munch on the salty deliciousness.
“It’s my turn to pick,” you reminded.
He groaned, throwing his head back to the couch. “Fine. But, please, no fluffy romance.”
You gave him a face. “Er, see, now that you said that, I have to pick a rom com.”
Handing over the popcorn to Jongdae, you picked up the remote, taking control and turning on Netflix before he could complain any further. You clicked through the romantic secession, nixing each movie for one reason or another. Finally, you settled on one that you had been wanting to watch for a while now, but never actually took the time to start.
“‘What If?’” Jongdae questioned.
“Yeah,” you smiled, taking the popcorn back and placing it on your lap. “It looks cute.”
“It’s got Daniel Radcliffe in it,” Jongdae sneered.
You looked at him, confused. “What’s wrong with that? You like Harry Potter.”
“Yeah, but he’s not really a romantic lead type of guy, is he?”
Confused you stared at him. “So? Not every guy has to look like Jude Law. I like the fact that it’s Daniel Radcliffe. It’s different. Now shut up and watch the movie.”
“Yes, ma’am,” Jongdae mumbled, grabbing a handful of popcorn and stuffing it in his mouth.
For about a good portion of the movie, Jongdae was able to restrain himself and kept quiet. Until the obligatory scene where the male lead goes after the girl.
“That’s so stupid,” he grumbled.
Narrowing your eyes, you paused the movie. “What is?”
“Chasing after a girl like that,” he elaborated. “Plane tickets are expensive. Just call her. Or wait for her to get back. If she rejects him, then he would have just wasted thousands of dollars to fly to Dublin for no reason.”
You scoffed and tossed the remote down on the coffee table next to the empty bowl. “It’s not exactly an easy thing to tell someone that you like them. Sometimes, you have to do a big grand gesture just give yourself the courage to do it.”
“No,” Jongdae shook his head, adjusting to face you more fully. “You don’t. The best way is to just flat out tell someone. That way the other person doesn’t feel pressured to say yes just because you spent money on them or did it in front of a crowd of people when they might not like you back.”
“Okay, then.” Crossing your legs, you shifted so you were now facing him as well, your shoulder pressed up against the couch. “Tell that to the the girl that you like this month. I’ll even watch. Just call her right now and show me how easy it is.”
Jongdae cleared his throat, obviously uneasy by the sudden turn of events. “I don’t need to call her.”
“Because you already told her?” you poked, knowing full well that wasn’t the case. You didn’t know exactly who Jongdae liked. The little information that you had that he even liked someone came from the vague whispers you’d caught from the other boys. Admittedly, you were only egging him on at the moment because you wanted to know exactly who it was that you should be jealous of.
“No, I haven’t told her,” he admitted.
“Then call her,” you urged. “Call her and prove me wrong.”
“I don’t want to.”
“Because you’re scared.”
“I’m not scared.”
“Then why not?”
“Because I don’t want to.”
“Chicken.”
“Stop.”
“Scaredy-cat.”
“I like you.”
Your jaw dropped. At first, you weren’t sure if you’d heard him correctly because he said it just how he bragged that he would. Straightforward and to the point. A simple declaration with no audience and no grand gesture in an airport.
Unsure of how to react, you let out a half-hearted laugh and even shoved him in the shoulder. “Stop messing around.”
“I’m not,” he said with a straight face.
You frowned. “I’m serious.”
“So am I.” He scooted closer to you, eliminating a majority of the space between you. “Do you remember when I said I was wrestling with something and that I was accidentally taking it out on you?”
You bit your bottom lip. “Yeah….”
“It was because I liked you and didn’t know how to deal with it,” he confessed. “I didn’t want to make you uncomfortable, since we live together, but I do really like you. Is there… is there any chance you might like me, too?”
This was… not what you expected at all when he suggested movie night. But you certainly liked this turn of events.
“I do,” you whispered, unable to meet his eye. “I like you a lot.”
“Hey.” Cupping your face, he made you look up at him. “You want to try and give this a shot?”
“Yeah,” you smiled. “Yeah, I’d like that.”
That brilliant, million watt smile lit up his face and he pulled you in closer. His lips were warm and soft against yours, tenderly moving to give you a chance to break away. But instead you deepened the kiss, leaning him back onto the couch as you lied on top of him. While your hands were in his hair, his own rested on your hips before exploring your back underneath your sweatshirt.
Then the front door clicked.
Jongdae shoved you off of him before the boys could walk in and catch you, but rather than push you back to the other side of the couch, he’d shoved you sideways so you were flung to the floor, hitting your head on the coffee table.
“Shit, are you okay?” he whispered.
You looked up at him with a glare as you rubbed your head silently.
The three stooges didn’t seem to think anything was out of the ordinary when they walked into the house. Baekhyun was swaying on his feet just a bit, but obviously wasn’t too intoxicated. The other two just seemed tired.
“You guys are home early,” you acknowledged with fake cheerfulness. Just when things were getting interesting.
Minseok shrugged. “They ran out of Chanyeol’s favorite beer and the place just got too crowded. Figured we could come home and see if you guys wanted to watch a movie instead.” He glanced at the TV. “Although, it seems like you guys were already doing that.”
“It’s okay,” you got up from the floor, grabbing the empty bowl on the way. “We can start a different one. Maybe an action flick?”
That definitely earned you a daggered glare from Jongdae. Well, he shouldn’t have pushed you off the couch.
“I’m going make some more popcorn,” you informed them. “Just pick whatever you guys want to watch.”
“I’ll help you!” Jongdae volunteered. The others settled down on the other couch, arguing over what to watch.
Opening a new package, you placed the brown bag in the microwave and set the timer.
“Maybe we should keep this to ourselves for now,” Jongdae proposed in a hushed voice masked by the loud hum of the microwave.
You nodded. “I think you’re right. Let’s just see where this goes first.”
To seal the deal, Jongdae gave you a quick kiss on the lips.
Fresh, hot popcorn done, you both returned to the living room and rejoined the others. It didn’t take long for Chanyeol, who must have drank more than you initially thought, and Baekhyun to pass out. Minseok took a little longer, but he too eventually gave in to his heavy eyelids.
With a nudge to your side, Jongdae motioned up with his head.
Your room?
Sneaking a look at the others to make sure they were deep asleep, you nodded and the two of you creeped up to your room in the attic. Where you thought Jongdae was going to kiss you again. But no. He crawled under your sheets and snuggled into your bed instead.
“What are you doing?” you laughed.
“I’m tired, but I can’t sleep downstairs between Chanyeol’s snoring and Baekhyun’s yapping,” he explained. “Now, come keep me warm.”
Rolling your eyes, you removed your sweatshirt so you were just in your tank top and jumped into the space next to Jongdae. He pulled you in close, wrapping his arms around you as you rested your head against his chest. To no surprise at all, Jongdae made for a very comfortable pillow.
**
After a week, you felt like a super spy. Sneaking in kisses and dodging any possible run-ins with the other boys was becoming just another part of your skill set. And you were quite proud of it.
Saturday morning, you woke up early and hungry. Jongdae was still fast asleep next to you so you gently untangled yourself from him and headed downstairs to start on breakfast. Everyone else was still drifting away in dreamland judging by their closed doors and sounds of their sleeping habits.
You only got to the step of getting out the ingredients before Jongdae came up behind you in a back hug.
“Why do you always leave me alone in bed?” he whined.
“Because you sleep too much,” you retorted. Turning around in his arms, you linked your own around his neck and pressed your lips to his own.
Jongdae wasted no time. He lifted you up and placed you on the counter so the two of you were now face to face. You clung to him as you kissed him, moving in perfect rhythm, your legs locked in tight around his waist. Then you heard footsteps.
While you stayed on the counter – a common occurrence from you – Jongdae moved to the other side of the kitchen, getting plates down from the cabinets. Minseok shuffled into the kitchen and to the shelves that held the glasses.
“Morning, Seok!” you greeted casually.
“Good morning,” he yawned. Opening the fridge, he pulled out the OJ and pour himself a cup.
“I’ll have breakfast here soon!” you told him as he shuffled out of the kitchen. He grunted in response.
Just when you thought you were in the clear, Minseok poked his head back in. “By the way, we all know, so you two can stop sneaking around like you’re actually good at hiding it.”
He laughed at the shocked looks you and Jongdae were sporting before he disappeared again.
“Well, that’s no fun,” Jongdae grumbled.
You threw the packaged sausage at him. “It’s all your fault.”
“I-” he sighed. “You’re right. But you know what that means?”
You tilted your head. “What?”
Jongdae marched up to you, settling in between your legs once again. “I don’t have to stop kissing you when they enter the room anymore.”
You laughed. “That is t- mph.”
Not letting you finish your sentence, Jongdae started the kiss back up again.
“Really, guys!” Baekhyun whined as he stood at the entrance. “In the kitchen?”
