He pushed the thoughts away as Jake’s drifted in an interesting direction. Royce’s eyes followed his hand’s movement, at the ferris wheel which shined bright and took the victors round and round. All because of their magic. The line of his thoughts was clear without Royce needing to read it. A fascinating thought that he hadn’t focused on before. What more could he do with these powers aside from the practical ways he used them? He glanced at his hand, conjuring small bolts between his fingers and feeling the electricity thrumming in his veins. His first inherent ability, the one he had the most time with… He never thought of how devastating the power running between his fingers could be. But scientifically it made sense, the kind of damage they could cause if they really honed it in together. After all — getting shocked by lightning could be devastating. “Are you suggesting we put our heads together to see if there are sparks between us?” He raised a brow as a smirk pulled at his lips, the words sounding like a joke, but… It did intrigue him deeply.

Then Jake’s intrusive thoughts invaded his mind and Royce looked away once more. It was odd to see the event from another’s perspective, and to hear their theoretic thoughts on it. It could have amused him, had Royce not been so forlorn over it all. But he swallowed such a thought, looking the picture of indifference as he hung a hand out the side of the carriage. Tapping his fingers rhythmically on the side of the carriage, he glanced about at the lights as he replied. “If you have something you’d like to say about it, Jake, you can just say it,” he said in an even voice, seemingly not pressed about it, “No point in dancing around what you saw happen.” Dark eyes falling back on Jake, Royce shrugged, this time his voice a bit small, “But, yes, I suppose it did.” But it wasn’t a serious affair, he reminded himself. It never meant much of anything to him. He swore she never meant much of anything to him at all. Not even a little.

And yet.

When Royce joined Jake in the carriage he cheered, albeit he was a little surprised. He'd expected the other witch to decline. If anyone could be unfazed by peer pressure, he thought it the coven's advisor. Yet, he was profoundly glad for the unexpected company on his ride around the wheel. It compounded upon the hope Jake felt that this experience changed things. A brilliant play on Elif and Safiye's part, as their efforts brought species alike and different together. "Roycey will never again cross my lips.." He promised with a smirk that gave away his amusement at having said the ridiculous nickname just once more. "I'd offer you Jakey, but that doesn't seem fair if I can't.." Call you Roycey, he finish his sentence in his thoughts alone as he kept his promise that the name would never cross his lips again. "We did good." He echoed, heavy emphasis on the plural. "You really put in the work." There was no hiding his surprise. His thoughts weren't his own in the presence of a telepath. "Didn't realize you cared so much." Another happy surprise. He thought, if Royce cared about this, maybe..."We're good together. We made this thing work." He gestured to the ferris wheel. "Think what else we could do." His thoughts articulated the picture better than his tongue. Jacob wondered what sort of power they could wield together with their like magics. A weapon of shocking proportions. Should they need it, which he worried they inevitably would. "This win seemed to cost you something.. personal, huh?" From the top of the wheel during capture the flag, Jacob had spotted Royce and the fairy queen. He tried not to think about it, but his mind was weak to intrusive thoughts.

Aikelar This creature appears to be a miniature centaur, only its lower body is that of an alligator rather than that of a horse.

Aikelars, sometimes disparagingly referred to as “mud mermaids”, are crocodilian creatures that dwell in swamps and marshes. They are highly social creatures and live in sizable communities deep in the swamps. Most aikelar dwellings are constructed from mud and vegetation, something like a beaver lodge. The entrances are submerged, but the interior is dry and clean, and frequently heavily decorated. Most aikelars have Stone Age material cultures, as metal ores are rare where they live. Metal weapons are therefore much prized, and aikelars will happily trade for or steal them.

Aikelars are not inherently evil, but their monstrous appearance leads to them frequently being distrusted by civilized people. The upper body of an aikelar closely resembles a halfling, albeit one that is greenish and slightly scaled, and some aikelars may test the waters of conversing with other humanoids by hiding their lower bodies and pretending to be a halfling. Aikelars most commonly engage with goblins, lizardfolk and boggards, but these relationships can vary from peaceful cohabitation to uneasy truces to outright warfare. Most aikelars worship powers of nature and water, but cults of demon lords are known among aikelar with strong boggard cultural influences.

An aikelar is about six feet long and stands three feet tall. They are short lived compared to other humanoid races, and typically die from old age before fifty years old.

It gains a +8 racial bonus on Swim checks and can take 10 on Swim checks even when rushed or threatened. Undersized weapons An aikelar uses manufactured weapons as if it were one size category smaller than its actual size. Low-light vision Darkvision 60 ft. +1 natural armor Natural attack An aikelar gains a tail slap attack  as a primary natural weapon that deals 1d6 points of damage. Swamp Stride An aikelar ignores all difficult terrain from mud, water or natural vegetation in a marsh setting Lesser Hold Breath An aikelar can hold its breath for a number of minutes equal to its Constitution score before it risks drowning. Languages An aikelar begins play speaking Draconic. Aikelars with a high Intelligence score may choose from the following languages: Aquan, Boggard, Common, Goblin.

Animorphs d20 Modern part 1 Tech

Escafil Device

"That blue box represented more power than half the weapons in the world combined. That little blue box could give anyone  morphing power."―Marco

D20rules: An  Escafil device is large cube fashioned from a blue materiel, it weighs .25lb and has a Purchase DC of 37 (Restriction Illegal+4).  An Escafil devices grants the Morph (Su)special quality to the target(s).

(Activation); An Andalite or creature that has previously been granted the ability to Morph may activate an Escafil Device as a Move-Action.  Once activated the device can grant the ability to morph to upto five (5) small to large sized creatures (must have an intellegnce of 3 or more), as long as they have an appendage capable of touching one of the exposed sides. The process is a Full Round action that provokes attacks of opportunity,

(Acquisition); A Morph capable character may acquire morphs by touching a friendly or restrained creature and making a successful DC 15 Concentration check.  Acquiring a morph form is a full round action that provokes attacks of opportunity.  A Morph form will always look like the individual it was acquired from, as a result the character that has acquired the morph of a sentient creature receives a +5 circumstance bonus to Bluff and Disguise checks when trying to convince others that they are the person or creature they are currently morphed into.  Aquiring a morph form does not give you access to the original's memories,

(Morphs); At any given time a character can retain a number of morphs equal to their Constitution Modiufier +their charisma modifier (minimum 1).

(Rejection); with every morph form a character acquires there is a 1% chance that their body, will reject the new morph, when this happens the character must make a DC17 Control Shape check at the start of each hour they are conscious, failing the check will cause the character to manifest a physical feature of  a randomly selected morph form for 2d4 rounds (can be immediately reverted with a DC 20 Control shape check) failing the check by 5 points or more will cause the character to assume a randomly selected morph form.  After 2d4+1 days the character's body will “expel” the incompatible morph form, creating a (most likely hostile) clone of the original creature and cause the character to automatically morph (Control shape DC30 to resist can voluntarily fail) in to a randomly selected combat capable morph form.

(Blending); A character with at least 8 ranks in control shape can acquire multiple morph forms of the same species and combine them into a single new morph form, this form does no grant the Bluff or disguise benefits and is mostly used to create cover forms when a character must operate under cover for prolonged periods of time.

Morph (Su): A creature with the Morph Special Quality can shift between an “acquired” list of forms (referred to as morphs or morph forms) as described above, a creature can remain in a morph form for upto 2 hours (1200roounds), after which they will be unable to return to their original form.  At GM desecration a creature with the Morph special quality may still be able to return to their original  if they do not exceed the a lot 2 hours by a GM determined amount (eg; 4 rounds, 10minutes, ect), however they must pass a DC 20 Will save.  A creature with the Morph special quality gains Control shape as a class skill (applies to all classes the creature has taken, plus bonus HD) and can use it untrained.  When a creature shape shifts into an alternate morph form, the form is applied as a temporary template (see below), a creature can not shift directly between morph forms and must return to their normal form before it can switch to a new form,  changing forms is a full round action that provokes attacks of opportunity.  The Morph Special quality grants a +4 bonus to the base creature's Challenge rating and a +2level adjustment that stacks with any existing level adjustments that the creature may have already had.  

Morphing Template

Bonus Hit Dice/HP: While morphed the base creature is granted the morph form's base (not provided by classes) Hit Dice as bonus hit Dice/Hit points, these hit dice are depleted first and lost after returning to their base form.  In addition morphing to or from a morph form will automatically restore all HP loss, ability drain/damage, severed limbs or similar negative effects that the base creature has suffered prior to morphing.

Ability Modifiers: While morphed the base creature receives a circumstance bonus (or penalty) to Str, Dex and Con  based on morph forms scores (ie a creature morphed into a wolf will receive a +2 bonus to str along siade a +4 bonus to dex and Con, while a creature morphed into Hippopotamus will receive a +14 bonus to Str, -2 to Dex and a +10 to con)  

Creature Type: The base creature's type does not change.

Natural Armor: While morphed, the morph form's natural armor bonus supersedes the base creature's

Natural Attacks: While in a morph form, the base creature can use all the morph forms natural weapons and abilities related to those attacks, superseding any natural or unarmed attacks the base creature already possesses,

Size: While morphed, the base creature's size changes to match the morph form's

Base Speed:  While morphed, the morph form's speeds (including form's that the base creature does not have) supersede the base creature's movement speeds.

Attack Bonuses and Saves: While morphed the base creature receives the morph form's Base Attack bonus and Base Fort, Ref and Will saves as circumstance bonuses

Special abilities: While in morphed the base creature can use all the special qualities that the morph form has.

Skills and Feats: While morphed the base creature receives the morph forms feats (if any) as bonus feats, and all species bonuses (or penalties) to skills, if the morph form is sentient the base creature does not receive access to any class or level based feats.  

Telepathy (Su): While in a morphed form the base creature can communicate telepathically with any sentient creature within 100ft. When morphed into a sentient creature that can speak, the base creature can not use telepathy unless the morph form has telepathy as a special quality.

Battle of Wills (Su): The first time that the base creature shape shifts into a new morph form they must pass a Control shape check (the DC equals 10+the creatures Hit Dice+the creature's wisdom modifier+Special [see below]), failing the check means that the morph forms base instincts will take over and the base creature will behave like the animal normally would.  At the start of each round the base creature may attempt a new control shape check as a free action (DC remains unchanged), until they succeed (regaining control of their body), or until it is to late to morph back into their original form.  If the form in question is also sentient (int 3+) the base creature does not need to make a control shape check.

Plasma Mini Mine (PL7)

As the CHE Mini mine, but uses modified Plasma missile Warheads.

As an attack action, a ship equipped with a  Mini Mine layer can dispense a bundle of  mines into a 500ft square immediately behind the ship.  When a hostile ship or ships pass thru the square the bombs detonate dealing damage to all ships in the 500ft square, ships caught in the square can make a DC 15 Pilot check for half damage.

For GM's that limit how many missiles a ship can carry, a single bundle of CHE mines takes up the same amount of space as a standard rack of 8 missiles.

Dome ship

He had no intention of sticking around. He’d tinker with the electrical box until the ferris wheel came to life, and watch the first go around for members of his victorious team, but overall Royce had no plan to stay. After everything, as the adrenaline drained away and gave way to immense regret, the only thing he wanted was to curl up in his bed and sleep off the activity. And he knew deep down that it would be best to save face until inevitably it all blew over. No intention of sticking around… but then Jake called out to him, and the coven advisor felt stalled there on the pier. He worked his ass off those past few days to ensure the coven as many victories as possible… dirty ending or not, maybe he did deserve this one victory lap. Rolling his eyes lightly once over, he shook his head. “I’ll do it if you never call me Roycey again,” he said, pausing in his approach to the attraction only to grab a beer off another excited team member celebrating nearby. With a grin on his face, Royce climbed into a carriage on the Ferris wheel and prepared for the ascent. He rested a heavy hand on Jake’s shoulder, the exhaustion of the past few days settling on his broad shoulders. “I don’t think I say it enough, Jake,” because really when did he compliment others, “but you did great during all the events.” Royce paused, taking a swig of the drink as his nose scrunched up, “How married are we to ‘Jake’ as the nickname?” He teased the other lightly, hiding an amused smile behind the lip of the bottle. “We did good,” he sighed, looking up at the lights on the attraction that their combined electrokinesis brought to life.

Lights beamed through the dark, night sky as Jake and Royce's tinkering with the electrical box finally started The Ferris Wheel. Team Lunar's victory lap, as Jacob had called it. Beer in one hand and the flag (which he'd begged to hold) in the other, he waited his turn in the line for a seat. Before he sat down he saw Royce and wasn't going to let him out of a victory lap. "Roycey, my boy! Ride the wheel! It's our victory lap!" No was not an acceptable answer, and he rallied support in his attempt at peer pressure. "Royce," He motioned with his hands for others to join him in chanting. "Royce, Royce, Royce."

As she walked into the diner, Jude was met with a semblance life. Warmth. She sniffed the air. Swallowed a pang of hunger that settled in the pit of her stomach. She wasn’t looking to indulge. Hunger was delicious, sharp—kept her focused. Jude settled on the serving window that jutted out of the wall. Sharp elbows, a mouth twisted into something like a smirk.

“Soup?” Jude questioned as if she had been insulted. “Fuck, I guess the end really is nigh.” Her tone dripped with indifference rather than pretention. Having grown up hungry, poor—she expected nothing, knew better than to desire anything more. 

There was no gentleness to be found in the way Jude’s hands, rough from a day's work dumped two small sacks on the nearest surface. “Salt from a dodgy-looking pond. Eggs. Delicious.” She had cultivated as much as she could from very little. Moved through processes she had remembered from another time, just more robust than before. A little broken. If she was not to falter, she would need to be consumed by her purpose. Ignore the decay her fingers found.

The diner smelled good. It was a homey, comforting scent that slipped out from the kitchen and wandered out the door, drawing people in . He'd started cooking it earlier that day, but this particular soup took a while on the heat, and Jake was nothing if not very specific with his rituals. Everyone in the doomed town knew that every now and then, Jake would get to making something special. When it happened, it was best not to rush his process. In fact, it was critical not to rush his process. Several people found out the hard way. So, the soup was not ready yet. It was a phrase he'd repeated several times already to everyone who entered looking for the source of the scent. And alas, here he was, about to say it again.
