I had either the pleasure or misfortune of walking into a Purple mattress store with my friend today for funsies, both of us broke as hell and neither looking for a new mattress but wanting to pretend for a little while that we had money in this big touristy outlet mall. And I need you to tell me something awful about these beds because the only thing I could say as we left was "I need to win the lottery." The salesman had us lay on the soft bed (per my preference) and then showed us the adjustable settings and the vibration mode. The pillows alone are like 250 but I don't think I have ever been so comfortable in my life. Please ruin this picture perfect out of budget bed for me. Or at least give me hope that I can find something just as comfy at a better cost once I look to replace my mattress with a new one.

Do you want to know a secret? When your bed is old and broken down almost every bed should feel amazing to you. Because it is new and still functioning as a bed.

Purple is not remotely in the ballpark of what I consider good bang for buck in general terms. For one major reason: they come in a box. Why?? Why compress a luxury bed into a box!? It just degrades the support.

I’ve made my peace with selling Purple and if it were not compressed with the gel grid I’d say they’re a top contender but as it stands I have reservations about their longevity.

i stopped trying to put my gender into words coz i realised it's impossible, and not everything needs to be reduced to easily explicable language anyways. but also because i find myself drawn to the "opposing" poles of lesbianism and transmasculinity, which is somewhat less intellibable from the outside than when i was leaning more bigendered.

i know im definitely hanging up my hat on bisexuality though, as ive realised that any genuine attraction (and it IS genuine) i have to (cis) men is vastly overshadowed by the prey animal dysphoric neuroticism it invokes in me. like i just cant even picture a way to make the sexual mechanics of that work without leaving me feeling somehow deficient in my masculinities.

idk. i think theres still room to explore since i dont have any real experience with men (lol) but at least for the time being im setting it aside because it's only really caused me stress and confusion. and well generally im not very sexually confident due to being mostly asexual, lowkey lacking in sexual imagination... and i feel like the skill expectation for men is somehow higher? like how am i supposed to like be a good top when i dont even have the drive to desire?? just in terms of ability i do nottt feel cut out for picking up guys. at this stage.

looping back to gender, at this point i think i really just need to do my research on stone identity coz that seems most appropriate to me. not to put myself in a box but just to learn from it how to navigate intimacy. it's easier with women because theres a pre-existing understanding of the roles there, which i find harder to navigate with men. but it's still like a blockage, where the more attracted i am to someone the less i want to have sex with them. because it would require too great a level of honesty? to say what i want and mean it??

mostly im tryna enter into my mid 20s as someone who knows exactly what they want, and how to get it. but as it turns out that is a lot of work!
