oc masterlist
the pinned post was getting a little too long for my liking with the bulk of it being ocs, so i decided that i would cut down on it and move the ocs to a separate post with it linking back to the pinned.
like i said on the pinned, whenever i reblog an ask game without specifying what oc in the tags, you can refer to this post for options. i would not recommend asking for a oc without a short paragraph since they don't have as much development.
fandoms i have ocs in include:
certain fangames (reborn, rejuvenation, desolation)
arcane odyssey/adventures
vesteria
...and way too many animal ocs. if i ever post about them they'd be on my side account
i list the ocs in order of how often i think about them, and list pronouns in order of the oc's preference.
raju elytra (she/her, 18) tag: #oc: raju 🐦🔥
my arcane odyssey main character. she awoke on dawn island with three other ocs, all of them without their memories. she had the sense that she was supposed to know them, but that's it. she's a fire conjuror with an arcanium katana, and knows a bunch of my friends' arcane ocs too.
nadia (she/her, 19) tag: #oc: nadia 🏹
an oc for vesteria. meandering from her starting point in mushtown, helping those she can along the way, nadia is on the search for answers... and finds more than what she was originally looking for. curiosity hasn't killed her yet, but the satisfaction further drives her forward. she even runs into and befriends a certain finch.
ignes "ines"/anges gladiolus (she/her, 18) tag: #oc: ignes 🌋
someone the main arcane group will meet in the future. she goes by various names, staying right in the aegean sea and very rarely being sent out. tends to keep to herself for the most part, but maybe that'll change.
kisaragi "sara" [ki-sa-da-gi; sa-da] (they/she, 19) tag: #oc: kisaragi 🌙
protagonist oc of pokemon desolation. memories fragmented, they awoke one day with mild injuries aside their beloved sister and absol. has strange abilities not too different from that very absol. goes by sara among friends.
this one has alternate versions of themself- pay attention to the tags if you're not sure which one the post's about.
rhea [ray-a] akana (she/they, 20) tag: #oc: rhea🪐
protagonist oc of pokemon reborn. certified eevee girl, has an evolution of each type. owner of the obsidian starshard.
nia [i sounds like ‘eye’] (she/her, 18) tag: #oc: nia 🎇
protagonist oc of pokemon rejuvenation. a paragon interceptor from a different universe. enthusiastic dog lover. she's very nice but watch out. might not be as honest as she presents herself.
(there's a big jump in how often i think about the next few, but they're still developed)
asteria vance (she/they) tag: #oc: asteria 🫧
a close friend of raju's, often found babysitting the phoenix while raju does her business on land. she is knowledgeable in all things with ships and the ocean, and her water magic only serves to help her in that regard. she may not fight often but she's competent enough to use spirit weapons and defend herself.
lyria (she/her, 12) tag: #oc: lyria 🌨️
rejuvenation oc. a girl that climbed out of the voidal chasm... with no memory of who she was. she picked her own name and is utterly clueless but also curious about everything. odd temperature occurrences happen when she is upset.
aldith (she/they, 18) tag: oc: aldith ⚔️
rejuvenation oc; a timid, quiet person introduced to hauyne after accompanying melia to blackstepple castle. she eventually joins the former on her journey, and eventually finds that the two have more in common than she thought...
rue hycanith (they/she/any) tag: #oc: rue hycanith 🌺
a kind soul that is obsessed with plants. she tries to help even those that have hurt them in the past. friends with sweety and ivy, and separated when their parents moved them away after a certain event, only to reunite in college.
-
below are ocs that are more concept than fleshed out characters.
neri jones (she/her) tag: #oc: neri 🌊
zita (she/her, 22) tag: #oc: zita
celina (she/her, 16) tag: #oc: celina ☄️
esmerelda (she/her, 12) tag: #oc: esmerelda 🪄
naomi (she/they) tag: #oc: naomi
relevant tags
rejuvsara- when i refer to 'sara being a rejuv protag instead of desolation.
parasara- specifically talking about their paragon self in rejuv.
renesara- specifically talking about their renegade self in rejuv.
rebornsara- when i refer to 'sara being a protag in reborn instead of desolation
*if the oc tag is alone, then i am talking about their desolation/canon self
#mythos au- arcane au where everything is the same but characters are mythical creatures.
but wait! what about (character relevant to [oc])?!
they either are not intended to be a full on oc or are someone else's.
check back here every few months. chances are i've updated something.

This is Hauyne (paragon interceptor oc) lol. Though granted they're childhood friends and are super close to each other (even if they did have a massive falling out and no longer have any idea what kind of relationship they have now)

( Imani's head pounds as slowly opens her eyes. Getting up shr raises her hand to her head, grunting as the throbbing gets worse.)
"What...." she grunts, her head spinning, " What....happened?"
( The girl tries to get up, but dizziness and nausea overtake her, weighing her back to the ground)
" Shit," she hisses, " I have had enough headaches for a lifetime, thank you,"
(She slams her hand on the ground, forcing herself up. She fights through the dizziness again, standing up and looks around. Everything is completely unfamiliar....yet familiar at the same time?)
"....Where am I this time," she groans, stretching her back, " Alternate dimension?.... Probably that, yeah."
( Imani then winces, the throbbing in her head coming back)
" Ugh!" Imani whines as she rubs her temple with hands, " Stupid headaches stupid alternate dimension, stupid-"
( Imani catches herself, feeling her anger bubbling. She takes a deep breath, still running her temples)
" Okay...this is okay....this is fine! Nothing you haven't handled before!" she forces a smile, "Yeah! Just....find whoever else is here, and we'll be good to go! Yep!"
( Imani begins to walk lightly, careful not to cause another sudden pain to her head.)
" Flynn?!" She yells, " Arrow?! Are you guys there?!"
( Imani winces at her own yelling, but she presses on. Slight panic begins to set in as she yells once again)
" Anybody?! "
[OOC: I hope this was alright as a beginning!!]
Post 1 > Next
(Hauyne wanders aimlessly along the Zorrialyn Desert, her ever-faithful partner Kali walking beside her. Truth be told, she doesn't know why her feet had led her to this place, and at such an odd hour too. Regardless, there was a nagging feeling deep inside her insisting that it's of utmost importance.)
(And if there's something Hauyne had learnt, it's that her intuition had never led her astray. Thus, she heeded it, letting it guide her to the desolate aridness of the desert.)
(Even if she ends up finding nothing, at least she has a free-range stomping ground to train on. The desert was isolated enough where going all-out would be unlikely to hurt anyone, except probably herself and her team members. And even then they knew each others' limits, so there's no danger anyway.)
(Suddenly, Kali stilled. Her eyes fixated towards a vaguely north-eastern direction.)
"Kali?" prompted Hauyne, feeling herself tense up in anticipation.
There's someone over there, she whispered. She seems lost and injured.
(Hauyne narrowed her eyes in deep contemplation. Frowning, she channeled some of her aura towards her eyes, and gazed towards the direction Kali had been staring at.)
(Indeed, there was a girl. And judging from her pained grimaces and confusion glinting off her eyes, it was clear she was stranded. And in dire need of assistance, too. The desert is no place for whimsical meanderings, especially for those who lack the survival skill or equipment to weather its harsh inhospitality.)
"Let's go," she murmured, not needing to turn around to know that Kali had given her a nod in agreement.
(The two bolted across the desert with preternatural speeds, covering much distance within the blink of an eye. It wasn't long before their stranger-in-need was within earshot.)
"Flynn?! Arrow?!" yelled the girl, her voice quickly fading away into nothingness despite its impressive volume. "Are you guys there?!"
'Wow, she's got quite the pair of lungs,' Hauyne thought to herself wryly.
Now is now the time for jesting, dear partner, Kali chided her in a gentle tone.
(Hauyne scoffed lightly, rolling her eyes playfully at Kali's reminder. Still, the Zeraora had a point. Now isn't the time to fool around; not when there's someone in need.)
"ANYBODY?!"
(Both Hauyne and Kali jumped slightly at the sudden booming voice, startled.)
"Hello there!" she hollered back, quickly shaking off her stunned state. It was better to let her know of their presence as soon as possible anyway.
(With a final burst of speed, the two leapt over a dune, sliding down its slope and towards the stranger. She seemed astounded to see them, as though she couldn't believe that her cries for help were answered so soon.)
"Oh, thank Arceus," the stranger heaved a sigh of relief. "I thought I was-ARGH!"
(The stranger crumpled to the ground, whimpering, one hand nursing the side of her head. Alarm seized Hauyne in an iron grip. This situation looks a lot worse than she had dared to presume...)
(Without skipping a beat, Hauyne knelt down and took her head gently in her grasp. A soothing azure light washed over the stranger, and she could feel her relax somewhat beneath her touch. Soon, the pained whimpers had quieted.)
"Healing isn't my strong point," she admitted, retracting her hands away from the stranger's head once she's certain that she had healed what she could. "But I can at least lessen the pain. How are you feeling now?"
"B-better," the stranger stammered, shakily rising to her feet. Kali placed her paw on her shoulder, slowly and gently guiding her back to the ground.
Don't stand up so fast, advised the Zeraora. You'll only make the headache worse.
(She nodded, careful not to trigger another headache.)
"...This isn't the place for idle chitchat," said Hauyne, scanning their immediate surroundings with an enhanced sight.
(She doesn't like how the Cacturne had been eyeing them hungrily, like they were easy prey, in the distance. Just out of range for a normal human's sight. A frown crept over her usually dispassionate face.)
'Shouldn't they know better not to mess with me when I unleashed hellfire on them a few nights ago?'
"Come with me. I know a place where you can rest for the night."
"Wait!" the stranger blurted out. "Can... can you at least tell me where I am?"
(Hauyne bit her lip, hesitating for a moment before obliging.)
"We're in the middle of the Zorrialyn Desert," she replied coolly. "Meaning we can't stay here. Not unless you want to be Mandibuzz food. Or Cacturne. Take your pick."
(She could feel Kali's reprimanding glare drilling into her. Admittedly, she could stand to be nicer, but honestly she doesn't want to stick around too long to find out whatever nasty plot the Cacturne had been cooking up. Dark-types...)
"I'll give you a lift to Sashila Village," announced Hauyne, barely giving the stranger time to respond. "No offense, but you don't look like you're in any condition to move, much less traverse the desert."
(The stranger stared, and Hauyne could just see the glimmer of disbelief shining in those reddish brown - it reminded her of the garnet jewelries she once saw in a museum exhibition - eyes. She sighed. Of course, she'll never be able to escape the curse of her small stature, will she? Damn her Asian genes...)
(In one fluid motion, Hauyne had the stranger in a piggyback - with the girl letting out a yelp in surprise - and sped off. Kali followed closely behind her, as expected, though she could tell that her partner was shaking her head at her in a mix of exasperation and possibly mild amusement.)
You'll have to forgive my partner's... bluntness, Kali apologised to the stranger on her behalf. She's simply worried about the Cacturne ambushes.
"Kali!" Hauyne yelped back in mock outrage.
(Kali offered no response, except for the ghost of a chuckle.)
[OOC: No worries, your beginning was great! I hope I got Imani's character right though. Characterisation is not my strong point XD]

If it's okay with you, can I request my rejuv Interceptor OC Hauyne in a kimono?
I really love Hauyne's designs (especially her future one) and had a lot of fun with designing her kimono,I took some inspiration from Lance's PokeMas New Year's alt along with adding some 'scales' patterns since I saw the dragon hairpin~ (sorry if I didn't get her type specialty right X_X )
(Also feel free to use however you want!)

Probably not a conventional ask...
But your OCs' thoughts on my rejuv OCs? Feel free to ignore this if you're not sure on the answer lol. I'm just out of ideas on what to ask XD
i enjoy concepts like this! ill bypass ??? just because he is very a lot :|
all in all theyre pretty confused about the circumstances about most regular interceptors-- and that is literally coming from a different world. sure, avan gets the concepts of parallel worlds, but the ones theyve hopped to have all been similar to rejuvs. like extra save files id say?
...so the concept of everything existing as a video game is kind of messing with all three of them. hehe
mido all in all is just about as cold as hauyne. i think they would both feel pretty Whatever about each other but they would have a spark of a bond if they fought for midos badge. he has a hidden competitive streak as well
aevis would be pretty nosy about the ancient status and would ask a lot of questions. his scientist side would show pretty hard and hauyne might get a bit uncomfortable.. hes just curious. (also i feel like my aevis stealing the real ones name and dna would cause some conflict)
avan is friendly to most people if you can get past how brash they are. they can hit it off with most people! lots of poking and teasing if hauyne can tolerate that but i think avan would genuinely like her

Obligatory I SUCK at asking questions but I'ma try anyway:
Based on seeing some muts play Rejuv for the first time and my own desire to explore the dynamic more: What's Hauyne's ( I hope I spelled that right-) relationship with Melia like? Bonus M2 too! - R ( hello again btw!)
Hi R! @fangaminghell
Well... this is one complicated question, because it depends. Her relationship dynamic with Melia has evolved drastically across the timeline loops, which is honestly quite frustrating on Hauyne's end because she's the only one who remembers that she got the shit end of the stick during the earlier loops while Melia just... only remembers this particular one loop.
And she meant no disrespect to Melia btw, in her eyes Melia of the earlier loops (I'm talking like v1-v6 versions of Melia) is a self-centred brat who, whether unintentionally or otherwise, saw her as nothing more than a convenient tool to mow down any obstacle in their path, simply because she happened to be the so-called friend group's resident "miracle worker" and oftentimes seemingly took credit for what was supposed to be her doing (what happened to her being a genius? she had once thought in frustration). She still actually holds some resentment over v6 Melia for coldly telling her to "get over it" right after watching Madame X murder Nancy in cold blood. Ironically, early versions Melia actually did appreciate Hauyne as a friend, but was too immature to express it in a way that doesn't involve bossing her around and thus oblivious to the burning resentment she was unwittingly breeding.
But come v7 Melia and beyond, and Hauyne was very surprised to find that these versions were much more mature, a genuine friend who treated her kindly as equals and could be relied upon just as Melia relied on her. So she softened towards Melia, their dynamic changing from a stoic guardian who does as what Melia told (because she made a promise to Jenner, and she does not break promises even if it hurts her) albeit with frustration and resentment directed towards the golden girl, to a grudging and somewhat wary companion (get burned too many times, and you become suspicious of anything resembling fire)... and finally as a deathly loyal friend-sans-older-sister-figure who wished for her happiness no matter the cost.
Since M2 is based on v6 or earlier's Melia who went insane from a possible eternity of stagnation, I don't think they would see eye to eye if they ever met again. M2, who believed that she abandoned and destroyed them for no apparent reason, and Hauyne, who resents M2 for her perceived mistreatment and exploiting her as a stepping stone. If anything, it's very likely that they would fight to the death and obstinately refuse to forgive each other.
Long story short, Hauyne much preferred the later versions of Melia, and genuinely grew to love her as a sister she never had despite the rocky beginnings.

Hauyne is this.
At the beginning of the story, the name change was simply a means for her to separate her “Interceptor” identity from her personal identity, the latter of which she deems as her more inferior side. Then, as the plot progresses, it was eventually revealed that she went by her current alias because she was actually a split personality (though she was unaware of this until then, due to trauma-induced amnesia) - hence the need to create a new alias to “differentiate” herself from her original.
It’s also why when I called her by her birth name “Artemis” when I’m specifically referring to her child/pre-Calamity self, and “Hauyne” when referring to her in the midst of the plot events. But after a certain point in the story, the two names are used interchangeably although “Hauyne” is used far more often. Mainly because it’s the alias the other characters know her by the longest, and because she identifies more with the “Hauyne” personality over the other one.
Which oc is called/known by multiple names currently, or has fluctuating names? Does it vary by their company or where they are? Does it have other story reasons (like secret identities, aliases, transformations, titles ect)? Or do they simply identify with multiple names?

Post 1 <<< Prev < Post 5
[ooc: Okay, this took a while... Was swamped with irl stuff yesterday and a mild case of writer’s block so I couldn’t get into it as soon as I would’ve liked. Showcasing another of my OCs here, though she technically isn’t really a seperate entity...? It’s complicated.]
[ooc: Nah, do whatever you think is best. As long as I can organise the posts chronologically, I don’t really mind how you post it.]
(When Hauyne came to, she found herself suspended in a dark void. A very familiar void, in fact.)
“Damn, that must have taken a lot out of me...” she grumbled, one hand pressed against her temple to ease the dizziness as she slowly rose to her feet.
(Not that she actually felt dizzy here. She was in her own head, after all. Or rather, a plane of existence conjured by her subconscious mind where she could freely commune with her “headmates”. Though, given that all of them were still in a deep slumber, the plane was noticeably empty except for herself; its desolate condition was merely a reflection of its inactivated state.)
(Suddenly, the void rippled. Colours began to materialise before Hauyne’s eyes, and in a blink of an eye, it shifted into a breathtaking scenery. One with no land in sight; only an expanse of crystalline water and a sky eternally locked in twilight.)
“You’re an idiot. You know that, right?”
“Viviere,” greeted Hauyne, her tone even and cordial in a way only well-bred aristocrats could manage. “Nice to see you haven’t changed a bit.”
(She turned around to meet the owner of the sarcastic voice, coming face-to-face with a pallid girl bearing a face that was identical to her own. Not that most people would know, due to the unsettling dragonskull mask she wore to protect others from the brunt of her deadly gaze. The six ruby eyes on the mask gleamed, reflecting its mistress’ agitation.)
“Hmph,” she scoffed. Hauyne noted that her counterpart had forgone her usual armour, instead wearing a black-and-white dress reminiscent of a goth lolita fashion. “I could say the same for you. Still pushing yourself over the limit, huh? Especially for people who least deserved it.”
“In what sense?” challenged Hauyne, crossing her arms.
“Oh, don’t tell me you’ve gotten even dumber since the last time we spoke,” she replied, mockingly. “But fine. I’ll spell it out for you. I’m talking about those two outsiders.”
“Flynn and Arrow?” mused Hauyne, her head tilted in contemplation.
“That’s right,” Viviere said, nodding. “Sure, you fucked up. Big deal. Everyone does that from time to time. Doesn’t mean you need to use up all your reserves to ‘make it up’ to them, or whatever twisted logic you’ve convinced yourself with. Those people may not have meant any harm, but they’re not your friends. You don’t owe them anything, and you definitely don’t have to ‘prove yourself’ to them. You’re so much better than them. You should know that.”
(Hauyne winced at the egotistical statement. In what world was she ‘superior’ than the rest?)
“Look, I get what you’re saying,” she said. “I misjudged the amount of reserves I used, alright? I didn’t even mean for this to happen.”
“Oh, we’re doing this again?” sneered Viviere, unimpressed. The eyes on her mask shone a dangerous crimson. “We both know that was a fucking lie. You were absolutely prepared to dump everything you have, just for the sake of a lousy ‘apology’. And for what? In the end, all you’ve done is give them more pain and suffering.”
(Hauyne stared at her blankly, baffled. Viviere stared back, before sighing and slumping her shoulders in exasperation.)
“You have no idea what I’m talking about, huh?” she groaned, exasperation dripping from her words. “Fine. Observe.”
(Viviere raised a hand to the sky. The scenery twisted and shifted, morphing into the ruins of a once-glorious city. Hauyne knew this place well. Alamissa Urben. It was Ryland’s favourite hideout, and still is - even after he had taken the mantle as the Guardian of Eclysia Pyramid upon himself. He had frequented the ruins much less often these days, being preoccupied with his role.)
(Beside her, Viviere had taken on a ghostly, translucent appearance. And so had she, upon a quick inspection. Clairvoyance? It seemed her counterpart still had some control over her powers, despite having relinquished all of it during their rejoining.)
“What do you want me to see?” frowned Hauyne, her brow furrowed in confusion.
“Shh,” shushed Viviere, shooting her a pointed glare that somehow penetrated through her mask. She pointed a finger towards a orange spot soaring over them. “Just keep an eye out for that, will you?”
(Hauyne’s frown deepened, but relented. Her eyes focused upon the orange spot as it grew larger... larger... until it was obvious that it wasn’t a spot, but rather a Charizard in flight. Firecracker. With Arrow riding on his back.)
(They looked awful. Their shoulders trembled with every sob they managed to choke back, resulting in their erratic breathing that did nothing to help their situation, and their eyes were so welled with tears it was a surprise that none of it had spilled. A pang of astonishment, sorrow and sympathy hit her. Just what had happened to Arrow? What had made them this upset?)
(The duo landed on one of the more intact buildings of Alamissa Urben, kicking up a cloud of aged dust in their wake. Almost immediately, Arrow collapsed onto the ground, their sobs akin to desperate gasps and curled up in a fetal position. Their breathing were so loud, so laboured, so erratic, that Hauyne feared that they might asphyxiate themself to death.)
“Arrow!” exclaimed Firecracker. The Charizard wasted no time in wrapping his massive wings around his trainer like a weighted blanket, curling his body around them comfortingly. “I’m here, don’t worry... Just breathe. In, and out...”
“I’m such a horrible person,” they mumbled, eyes glazed out like they were staring at something only they can see. “They... Imani, Flynn... they need me. But I ran away. Like a coward. Ryland was right... I’m a selfish person. I always end up running away when it mattered, don’t I?”
“Shhhhh,” hissed Firecracker soothingly, pressing his muzzle against Arrow’s chest in an attempt to calm them. “Don’t beat yourself up like this. You did your best, and you did amazing despite everything. Just breathe.”
“A-and...” they continued their delirious rant, Firecracker’s words falling on deaf ears. “I c-couldn’t do anything. Not an Arceus-damned thing! I should h-h-have known... I should have stopped her! What if she never wakes up, because of me...?”
(Hauyne’s eyes widened. Oh dear god, were they blaming themself for her unconscious state?)
‘Just what have I done...?’
“You couldn’t have known,” he rumbled consolingly. “There’s simply too much we don’t understand about this strange new world. There’s no way you could have known.”
(Arrow said nothing. They had long since fallen into an unresponsive state, sobbing and crying. All Firecracker could do was curl himself around his trainer, rumbling words of comfort and support in the hopes that it would calm them down. Even if he knew that they could never understand what he had said.)
(The vision faded away, returning both Hauyne and Viviere to the land of twilit sky and sea.)
“You see now?” asked Viviere, her voice unusually soft and gentle, bereft of its usual vicious bite.
(Hauyne nodded, too stunned by what she had witnessed to speak.)
“It always ends this way, doesn’t it?” she muttered sorrowfully.
(Viviere offered no response. Instead, she glanced away, lowering her mask slightly to hide her thoughtful frown. Then, she faded away without so much as a goodbye, returning herself to the depths of her subconscious. Her job was done, anyway. There was no point for her to remain here any longer.)
(Leaving Hauyne to pick up the pieces. Alone.)
[ooc: starting the RP with @valkyrie-of-the-rising-sun on my noog this time cause I am lazy lol. Hope this isn't a problem]
[ooc: Big Sib Arrow to the rescue????]
[ooc: I. Did not know how to incorporate Hauyne's pokemon properly here so pretend they're there with Erin when Arrow goes to the HQ]
' First Imani, now Hauyne. What is up with everyone fainting,' Arrow frowns as they pick up Hauyne in theirs, '....if Flynn faints next, I'm having a heart attack. I swear,'
[Arrow rushes back toward the HQ, Firecracker right behind them. The minute the two enter, they are met with Erin. The younger girl's eyes go wide was she sees Hauyne in Arrow's arm, which quickly shifts into a harsh glare at Arrow.]
" I don't know," they huff, already tired of the hostility today, " She came to heal me, we got engulfed in some weird fire, and then she fainted. Do you know how to help her or not?"
[Erin stares at Arrow for a second, then looks down at the unconscious Hauyne in their arms. She sighs]
" Just.....follow me," she says, speed walking to the infirmary.
[Arrow follows suit, looking down to see if Hauyne has woken up yet. It was only then how....oddly peaceful she looked]
[Heading into the infirmary, Arrow was greeted by the warm smile of Imani, but it quickly turned into a horrified gaze as she notices Hauyne in their arms]
' How old is she?' they ponder, before shaking their head and catching up with Erin.
" Hauyne!" Imani cries, and she's about to get up-
" Don't get up," Arrow orders, " You need your rest. Please. "
[Imani looks between Arrow and Hauyne, her eyes filled with worry. She gives Arrow a reluctant nod, sitting herself back into her bed.]
" Thank you. Now where do I...ah,"
[Arrow walks towards a spare bed and places Hauyne on it. She's still unconscious. Was it the fire thing she did?]
[Arrow stands there for a bit. Staring at Hauyne. It all comes sinking in. They are in another universe. Another universe that they do not understand. They have been attacked, not once but twice, and any attempt at a calming moment is faced with some problem they don't know the answer to. It's so much. Too much.]
[They hear Firecracker whine as their body behinds to shake.]
" Arrow?" Imani's voice enters their ears as well. They look straight at her, face blank.
" I think I'm having a panic attack," their voice is scarily even, " I'm going to go now. I'll be back soon,".
[They don't even hear Imani's protest as they rush out the door. They know Firecracker is behind them- he's always behind them. No matter what. The minute the two are outside, Firecracker goes in front of Arrow, back towards them. Arrow immediately hopes on , and they take flight.]
' I'm so selfish,' they berate themself as they fly, ' They need me and I'm running away. Ryland was right,'
" Take me home," was all that was said.
[Firecracker only nodded. To home they went]

Hauyne, the Liberator

>>> Backstory
TW: misogyny, implied domestic abuse, mentions of death in childbirth, stillbirth, child abuse and neglect, child murder attempt, mutilation, transphobia, alcoholism, depression, suicide attempts, death of a family member, bullying
[Birth and Early Life] Hauyne, born Artemis Viator, was not a planned nor was she was wanted child... at least, in her father's eyes. To him, life was already perfect: a beautiful subservient wife, and a high-achieving son that he was confident would one day walk in his footsteps as a military man. He never wanted a daughter; girls were weak, overly emotional, took too much money and effort to raise, and would ultimately become a burden to the family, he thinks.
So when his wife defied him and adamantly insisted on keeping the unplanned child, he was floored. He could not understand why his wife would want another, when they already have the perfect child. But despite his strong feelings on it, he eventually acquiesced, grudgingly letting his wife have her way if only not to disturb the peace in the household.
Unbeknownst to him, his wife and son did not share his lack of enthusiasm over the new arrival. If anything, they were overjoyed and excited; his son, Orion, had always wanted a little sibling to spoil, and his wife had always wanted a large family. A wish that went unfulfilled because of the threats of pain and violence.
However, it was not all smooth sailing. Her mother had always been sickly, and her condition had only worsened when she got pregnant with her. By some miracle, she managed to carry her until the end... or rather, she would have, if tragedy had not struck in the form of a fatal accident. The culprit was never caught, and the stress of it all caused her to go into labour prematurely.
The child that she gave birth to was born dead, killed when she was still in the womb, while the mother herself was barely clinging on to life in spite of her mortal injuries. It was a miracle, doctors had marvelled. A shame her child did not make it, they had said. Yet, what no one knew was that she had a secret: a secret that she had sworn to take to her grave, known only to her flesh and blood.
Her mother was not human. Neither were her children. They were all Sidhe, Eikons to be specific. And for her, she was special, because she possessed a remnant of Arceus's power within herself. And for the sake of her stillborn child, she will give up this power - the very thing that's keeping her alive - to her daughter, so that she may live.
It was a shame that the only ones to witness her passing and bade her farewell for the final time were her two children, Orion and her newly revived infant daughter. With her final breaths, she made Orion promise to take care of his sister for her, before her strength finally ran out.
Ever since her birth and her mother's passing, their lives went on a nosedive. Her father did not hear the news until much later, and when he did, he was devastated. He blamed his daughter for the death of his wife, and drowned himself in alcohol out of grief. On the days he was not intoxicated out of his mind (which were many), he would take out his rage and grief on his defenseless daughter, using whatever flimsy excuse that came to mind to justify his senseless acts of cruelty. Some days, Orion was able to intervene, although it meant him taking the blows for his sister's behalf.
To make matters worse, she was frail and sickly as a child, constantly falling ill and having to make frequent visits to the hospital even as a baby. Her father, of course, would turn a deaf ear to her cries, and would simply beat her to silence her if it got too much for him to take. Because of this, Orion was the one who raised his sister despite his young age, and the two shared a close bond for this reason.
Things eventually came to a head when Orion first came out as a non-binary when she was 5. Their father was furious beyond words when he found out, calling them a "f*ggot" and tried to make them take it back in his drunken rage... until little Artemis stumbled into the scene, oblivious to the disaster unfolding in the room. Immediately he locked on to her, pinning all the blame for his misfortune onto the girl and went after her in a dark rage.
It was only thanks to Orion's intervention that it did not escalate to a full-blown murder, but they did not act quickly enough to prevent him from blinding her in her left eye. Their father was arrested for that murder attempt soon after, and it was only weeks later that he was found dead in his cell (the cause was declared to be a brain aneurysm, but the truth was that he was ganged up and beaten to death by the other inmates).
As their legal caretaker was out of the picture and Orion still not of age yet (they were 17 when their father was arrested and sentenced to jail), the two siblings went to live with their maternal grandfather in the countryside, their only living relative left.
However, yet another tragedy struck. The train they were boarded on derailed as it was crossing the straits, plunging into the waters below. Orion vanished during the accident, and there were no known survivors. None, except for her, by some divine providence. She was found days after the accident on a beach, unconscious and somehow unharmed aside from a few bruises. After her recovery, she was sent to a foster home system, where she remained for two years - bouncing in and out of homes who treated her harshly, sometimes being forced to go to the streets - until her grandfather was finally contacted and came to collect her.
[First Childhood] Her first childhood was spent in the same fishing village her mother grew up in, with only her grandfather for company. She was shunned and ostracised by everyone, whispering hushed rumours about her being a "devil's child" for living in the supposedly haunted manor at the edge of the village... or mocking her for her unnatural white hair and making her life downright miserable. Her only safe space was the manor she lived in, for no villager was foolhardy enough to test the veracity behind the haunted manor rumours, and so she was left alone in peace as long as she remained inside.
Over time, the solitary life and the repeated bullying she faced made her withdraw into herself, no longer making any attempts to reach out. The only time she would come out is to help her grandfather manage his traditional medicine shop, and that was only when she isn't occupying herself with her studies or whatever she had busied herself with. Even then, there were stretches of time where she her childhood illness acted up, leaving her bedridden for days if not weeks.
It was during this time she picked up on a certain Pokemon fangame... and many others, in fact. And she was enamoured with it, for reasons she could not put a finger on. These games were what helped her get on with life, alleviating the crippling loneliness of her life even for a brief moment, but it was enough to keep her going. For a while, things were bearable...
But then came the day her grandfather passed when she just turned 12. To say she did not take it well was a gross understatement; up until then, he was her only companion and role model, and to lose her only loved one just like that? It was devastating. So devastating, that it was the final straw for her. And with yet another one of her episodes, she simply let herself starve to death, hoping to finally be free of this torturous nightmare... but it did not happen. At some point, she had blacked out from pain, exhaustion and hunger, and when she awoke the episode had subsided... along with a warm meal by her bedside and the door suspiciously open when it was left closed and locked the whole time.
It was baffling to her. Who would even save her? Why did they do that? She had not wanted to live any longer, so why...? Regardless, the unexpected act had gave her some hope, restoring some of her will to live despite everything. So she continued to persevere, enduring the dark life of solitude for some years to come.
When she was 17, she stumbled upon an odd silhouette hidden in a thick blanket of fog while she was wandering around the forests near her home. It vanished as quickly as it appeared, but a part of her urged her to follow the silhouette, and she did, if only on an impulse. She pursued the silhouette for what felt like an eternity, until it led her to a moonlit pond in a clearing... and the silhouette nowhere to be seen.
Curiosity piqued, she starts to investigate the pond, feeling an odd sense of deja vu with it that made her want to approach the waters... until suddenly, she felt someone shove her from behind, pushing her into the pond. And before she knew it, she was falling out from the sky... and blacked out.
[Variya's Contract, and the First Cycle] In her dream (or was it?), she was approached by Variya who proposed a contract to her. Variya wished for her to become the Interceptor of this world, to save them from a fate of oblivion and destruction. While she was initially reluctant to do so, not wanting to get caught in a destiny as large as this, she was eventually persuaded to do so after Variya brought up an enticing possibility: the chance to finally meet and befriend the people she had known from a distance for so long, this time for real.
Unable to resist that notion, she accepted the contract, thus becoming the Interceptor... and she awoke in the S.S Oceana. The first incarnation of the cruiser, in fact. In the body of none other than Aevis.
The events to come after would play almost exactly as v1's plot, but after she tried to board the train to Route 2 in pursuit of Melia... she blacked out, only to awaken once more in the S.S Oceana, back to the day she first arrived at Aevium. The cycles have officially begun.
[Endless Cycles, and the Truth] So just like that, she was trapped in a never-ending cycle. Every time she would reach a certain point, she would be forcibly returned to the start of the cycle. On a few occasions, the entire timeline of events would be different (i.e. version updates, in an out of universe context), and rendering her prior knowledge useless. A pattern she found out was that for every two major cycles, her body or "host" would change. For the first two, it was Aevis. The next was Aevia, then Axel, and then Ariana, followed by Aero and finally Alain before she was able to keep her own body.
However, there was another thing to the repeated cycles: the more times she underwent the cycles, the more integrated she became with this world. At some point, in what she would call the eighth major cycle, she was set as one of the orphaned Mieran refugees who was placed under the custody of Phoenix Academy and becoming part of the six protag's friend group.
From then on, every time a major cycle begins, she would start again as a malnourished orphan and forced to relive that part of her life until she was brought back in the S.S Oceana. After that, the minor cycles would begin from this point onward.
Eventually, unable to take the endless cycles, in the thirteenth major cycle she attempted to deviate from the "script" as much as she possibly could. All in the desperate hope of breaking free from the purgatory she and her friends were trapped in. Unfortunately, all it did was made her journey even more difficult than it should, before it ultimately met its end through the Xenpurgis breaking containment far too early and destroying everything in its path (including its creators).
She had only managed to destroy Xenpurgis by absorbing the Archetype's powers, ascending to a god, but it was already too late by then. The world was now a barren ruin, reality fraying by its threads and the Core damaged beyond repair. All that was left of this ruined world was herself.
Unwilling to accept this as her fate, she began the painstaking process of rebuilding the world, brick by brick. Once it and the Core were rebuilt, she stripped most of her powers away from herself to be used as an energy source to power the Core, before resetting the world. This would be the first and only time she had started a brand new cycle of her own free will, using her own power.
Thus, did the fourteenth major cycle begin. The current cycle, and this time, she will set everyone free. No matter the cost.
