Hey, saw that you're having a bit of rough day. :(
I'm almost finished the next part.
But, would you like Prowl to bully "the wet bread moron" Josh? (as a treat. there's a part I could slide it in) Like a little petty revenge like get back at people being jerks to orcas?
-GLC
Oh I would absolutely love that yes👉👈
#Prowl deserves that#especially since they all keep expecting him to behave like a crazy scared horse/j#I was spending a lot of time watching videos and reading articles about wild and captive orcas#sorry it's a bit unrelated just don't mind the tags kflgmdbd#yeah so. I remember going to aquarium a bunch of years ago and seeing those performances#I was absolutely AMAZED by orcas because as a kid I was kinda obsessed with them haha#watched a lot of documentaries. all about wild orcas#so shortly after I went to the aquarium I tried to look for their stuff on the internet. some recordings and photos and names of the animals#there were A LOT of people SCREAMING around that content. Telling everyone that those animals are abused and suffering#-and shouldn't be held captive. Calling the aquarium “the orca prison” and stuff#I remember how annoyed I was seeing them. Because the staff cheerfully told me that “see they live happy they have a lot of food and-#-and nothing to worry about. What else can they want?“#I was so pissed at those “crazy hysterical eco activists” because they were actively ruining such a fun place#Now when I know better I wish I could meet those people and thank them#they got what they were fighting for. well. mostly they did#Hunting orcas is illegal now thanks to them#and breeding stopped too#they refused to let their last surviving Orca free (she was caught. not born in captivity) but they stated they won't try to get more orcas#Every time I see something about wild orcas it's so amazing and every time I see what humans do to them it gets more horrible#With all that said. If someone is still reading this haha. I now have another idea for a character who's gonna suffer immensely#because I went to see what exactly those activists vere fighting against and now I have some fresh fucking ideas

Agnès Varda turns her camera on an Oakland demonstration against the imprisonment of activist and Black Panthers cofounder Huey P. Newton. In addition to evincing Varda’s fascination with her adopted surroundings and her empathy, this perceptive short is also a powerful political statement.

i havent been internet roadtripping can you tell me how you got denyed entry to canada. does the website just have usa data.
I may have been doing one of my classic lies when I blamed border control for not letting us into Canada. I mean, the existence of controlled borders is definitely the main reason this happened in the first place, but they aren't directly responsible.
What happened is, the car can only take routes that have been mapped on google street view. Not every road has been mapped, and sometimes coverage can be spotty.
There weren't any border crossings with great coverage in Maine. They all had gaps that the car wouldn't be able to jump. The crossing in Limestone had a smaller gap, and through testing (including confirmation by the actual developer) it was determined that the car COULD make the jump across this specific check point.
We got to that check point tonight, and no dice. We had to turn around.
The devastation at the border happened around ~1am EST, so making a new plan (and figuring out why the Limestone crossing failed in the first place) has been a bit slow, since most folks are asleep. For the last hour or so the car has been basically circling around the crossing, buying time while those awake theory craft and debate new plans.

I don't think we're going to come to any conclusions tonight, personally, unless the night shift manages to solve the mystery.
I'm gonna go to bed for the night, we'll see how things stand in the morning.
UPDATE: The current theory I see floating around is that an update that let the car go a bit faster may have caused the issue. There seem to be ongoing attempts to retry the crossing to see if we can brute force it to work.

I had this snippet of a recording off the TV but I can't remember what it was from?? Probably a history channel documentary. If anyone knows it was on some revised findings/recreations from the 70s about a statue that they didn't know about before. Pre-Roman I think.

Serious question to people who think that piracy is bad
How are homemade movies with small production companies ever going to get seen if they aren't pirated?
Why do you so desperately want to feed into a big co-operation who already make more money than you are your entire bloodline will ever made combined?
How are you going to watch long forgotten movies that didn't get good press or weren't deemed worth enough to be on a streaming service despite that fact that they are still really good for one reason or another
And more importantly WHY DO YOU WANT TO PAY THESE COMPANIES?!!? IT IS HARD ENOUGH TO EARN A LIVING WAGE AS IT IS

bobby kennedy talking about jackie as a reporter for the washington times herald
(so you're telling me there's an actual possibility that bobby and jackie unofficially met while jackie was busy roaming the streets of washington interviewing people and inadvertently making an impression on a young new lawyer working at the department of justice before she was introduced to him as jack's girlfriend)

The best part about the internet roadtrip is when people just sort of mash PNGs together to represent people on the car. Also the pirates we love the pirates
The hivemind wanted to stop at the border. We cannot pass where they stopped. We have to detour again.
