"Do you? Do. You. Loki, I'm ready to deck you."
Loki pouted slightly, though he was fighting off a smirk. “Can you really not take a joke, Tasha?” He asked, tilting his head slightly.Â

"I like the view."
Loki turned and blushed a little grabbing a blanket from the side to cover himself up. “Don’t you mortals knock?” he asked still surprised. “What are you doing here?”

Nat groaned, pulling the  blankets up to cover her bare chest and rolled over. “Five more minutes… I had a dream about a bad Elvis and…” Something caught her eyes, a gold band on her left hand, her ring finger. “No… We didn’t… Rogers, tell me we didn’t.”
Steve sat up and bed and ran his hand through his hair before scratching the back of his neck. "What if I said we might have?" he said nervously and trying not to freak out. Steve metabolism burned 4x faster, so he had to be drinking a lot of strong stuff to have even been under some sort of influence. "I guess you can't say I'm old fashioned anymore." he said, before laying back down in the bed groaning.Â

It'd been two months, three weeks, five days and nineteen hours since Steve and SHIELD found out she was dead. Two months, three weeks, five days and nineteen hours she'd been apart from him. And now she stood at his, /their/ door, perfectly healthy and alive and scared as all hell to knock, to let him know she was alive. Maybe she should give up, go back to where she'd been...
Steve was getting better. Or so he’d like to think that he was getting better. He wasn’t randomly screaming at people anymore, or punching walls at random. He felt like he had no more tears to cry. It was odd, considering he was the man who had lost everything, you’d think he’d be used to it by now. But Natasha..Natasha had always been different. They’d always been a bit dysfunctional, but it worked. He felt okay when he was with her. But now he was back at square one.Â
He finally turned the TV that was on, off, and stared at it blankly. He didn’t know what to do most days. One minute you were getting married in vegas and now you were looking at lost memories. He figured he’d might as well, fix some food. It’s not like she was coming back..ever.Â

Life As We Knew It // inthemiddleofaninterogation
The first time Steve thought that perhaps something was amiss he had been working out in the gym. He struggled slightly with his normal lifting weight, muscles straining under the bar, but at that point he chalked it up to exhaustion from a prior battle.
But he couldn't blame exhaustion on all of it anymore. His shirts were loser, after battles he was completely wiped out and a night of rest didn't cut it anymore. Wounds healed slower and Steve was positive it wasn't all in his head after Clint's offhand passing comment, "Looking a little thin lately, Cap," and he wasn't wrong. He had lost at least seven pounds.
As much as he wished to deny it, something was wrong and Steve was terrified, bent over on the couch with his hands in his hair.

"I hate you!"
Loki just laughed at the words, a bitter sound as he stepped towards the woman. “Do you truly think that matters to me?” he questioned, glaring down at her.

Bruce slid into bed, wrapping around Natasha and kissing her cheek. He'd been out of town for the past few days, and had just gotten back. Normally, he would have announced his presences, but he had given Natasha heads up that he was coming home tonight, and she seemed to be already asleep.Â
