alec just the ultimate moon. in every relationship/dynamic involving him he's always the one who fit moon imagery, symbolism the most. the moon to jace's burning sun and izzy's brilliant star. him and magnus is a cosmic match, sun and moon intertwine and bring out the best in each other while kissing between tears of the worst. alec can't escape being so moon in other, more underrated dynamic too. in the tmi gang introvert trio, clary's obviously the sun, simon's star, and alec's the distant moon. i would argue even in his friendship with maia and lily, maia's the sun, lily's the star and he their ever humble moon. this all makes his future presence in twp be so interesting, seeing how the consul is supposed to be the "sun" of the nephilim and the clave
