This last addition is utter and complete bullshit. "In the time before glasses--" sure. Because the blind spectrum is about the best you can see with correction.

If you are 20/70 or even 20/200 without glasses but with them they bring you up to 20/20--you are not blind or on the blind spectrum.

If you are 20/70 or worse WITH correction you are on the LV or blind spectrum.

You are not "legally blind without [your] glasses" because legal blindness is inherently diagnosed WITH glasses. What you're saying is an oxymoron and annoying af to blind ppl and anyone who knows anything about blindness.

"Needing glasses is a disability" sure. Ok. Logic checks out. But do not go around claiming everyone who needs glasses is "on the blind spectrum".

Claiming that is entitled and ableist. Ableist because you clearly didn't bother to learn about blindness before trying to appropriate the terms and apply them to yourself and millions of people who don't have a claim to them.

Made the mistake of bringing up that needing glasses is a disability on tiktok and people got real mad.

“You can fix it with glasses” yeah, cuz they’re a disability aid? But like, I still have to pay 160 bucks to use my own fucking eyes?

Like, by definition, if your eyes do not work without aid, you have a disability to see.

Having a disability doesn’t automatically put you in what people consider the “disabled” category, but that doesn’t change the fact that it is in fact, a disability.
