idk if I'll ever write this properly, but back on the "post AC Tifa and Genesis friendship" agenda, it would be really cute with Genesis trying to grow a Banora tree in Edge

At first it was just bringing an dumbapple back with him to the bar, but then Tifa turns it into a learning moment for Denzel and Marlene by cutting the apple and showing them the seeds.

Genesis saw too many of Angeal's sprouts end up wilting in Midgar to think it will do anything, but he's also got too much knowledge on proper dumbapple care between his parents orchard and Angeal info dumping him. He takes Tifa's seeds and starts properly propagating them.

He sets up the pot near a window warning Tifa that in his experience, dumbapples struggle in this climate. Tifa just says that the seeds were a gift, so it's up to her what to do with them. She chooses to have a little hope in them.

Despite all of Genesis' predictions and warnings, the sprout survives.

Tifa follows Genesis' care instructions by. the. book. She's watering and fertilizing the tree on. a. schedule. Cloud jokes one day that the tree is the third kid they've taken in.

Denzel and Marlene get into a fight on what to do when the dumbapple plant wilts over only for Genesis to inform them that that's a normal thing for dumbapple trees to do as they mature.

Genesis absolutely ugly cries when the tree flowers for the first time.

Tifa and Genesis brainstorm all the different products that they can make with the fruit. Genesis offers to recreate some of his old designs from his families' orchard. He's imagining Tifa naming a drink in the bar after him while Tifa is thinking of all of the apple sauce she can distribute to new families in Edge.

Regardless, the first fruit is shared with family.
