A plaster statue of the Virgin Mary sat at the center, surrounded by the burnt stubs of candles, and an odd collection of items - an old hand-axe with a splintered handle and the chipped blade, a spider’s web preserved with white paint and guarded within a photo frame, an offering bowl with rusty stains cracking at the bottom of the cheap tin.  The plaster statue itself had been dipped in whitewash some time ago, the finish now spotted with dust and soot, an esoteric pattern brushed in blood-red paint across her eyes and lips, an unsteady hand leading to gory streaks of paint running down her neck and prayer-clasped hands, and draped in an aged scrap of lace veil.

The Lady in White, the patriarch said.  She had set stewardship of the Witchwood upon the shoulders of the faithful, instructing them on how to tend the mazes of roots and branches, how to feed the trees and keep the beasts at bay.  She appeared in dreams, to guide her faithful and loyal Hatchet-men, who carried the dark and blood-soaked histories of the island close to their hearts.  She was the one who directed their blades, who sought out the witches playing at civility amongst the townsfolk, to punish the guilty, and grant the taste of blood which welcomed each of their kin to manhood.

SO. Personal headcanon and conspiracy time, Webby is the patron of the Hatchetmen.  She taught them how to tend to the Witchwood, how to grow new trees with the souls of the gifted to strengthen it.  

It’s one of the reasons trees/roots are supposed to be a major motif for her in my designs, alongside the spider/webs/crab elements.

I love all versions of Tails. Whether he’s a baby, a coward, a badass, a menace to society, docile, feral, clings to Sonic, independent. Doesnt matter. I love the different ways he’s been written over the years in both game canon or movies or fanfiction. I’d rather see multiple angles of him than just the same formula every time. Different media require him to act different and thats okay. Sure I have some I prefer over others, but at the end of the day, Sonic characters in general have this certain type of Freedom that other medias dont. And I think we as a fandom should try to appreciate that more.

Ill take the existence of Forces Tails any day if it means I also get my IDW Tails lmao

Batfam stans trying so so hard to mystify Dick and Jason's relationship when canonically all it is, is Jason never recovering from imposter syndrome and worse, he KNOWS the syndrome is real because he doesn't succeed. Jason keeps trying to BE Dick - wearing Dick's Robin suit, pathetically enraged at 13 yr old Tim for wearing Dick's Robin mantle, wearing Dick's Nightwing suit to commit murder (please stop with the fanon of Jason patrolling Bludhaven when Dick is otherwise occupied; serial killer Jason does not deserve Dick's city), trying to kill Tim (TWICE!) and Damian - the brothers who built a relationship with Dick inspite of Bruce, trying to team up with Dick's besties. I am sympathetic to Jason's original tragedy but Jason's subsequent complaints are not sympathetic; Jason keeps making the wrong decisions and having misplaced motives for those actions. But when his well-laid plans fail, he cries "I died". Yes you did, kid, but NOW? You are a serial killer - who has killed gen pop prisoners, small time thugs and street drug dealers - and you CHOSE that way of action. So NO. Jason's tragedy ain't Dick's to shoulder, not AFTER the actions of Jason -towards Dick's brothers and Dick's city and Dick's people - after he came back.

Dick mourns the boy that once was. Not the serial killer who IS.

I didn't realize just how much better Mac's redesign was until I saw their old chair compared to their new chair back-to-back. Like, not just looking more befitting for a dedicated wheelchair user, but generally a better design overall. Looks a lot more solid and put together. (Old design on the left)
