Because after dying, they're stuck in a purgatory-like state where there exists no one else in the world but them. Everything is as they left it before death - the cities, homes, all the buildings and roads and signs of life. They walk into a room and it feels as if someone just walked out, always staying out of sight.

But it's just them. Alone in the world. They're already dead, and there's no use in killing each other, because the novelty runs out quick.

So they run in opposite directions from each other. Walk through empty cities. Cross oceans without drowning, spend years climbing up mountains and down ravines.

And they always find each other. Again and again.

And one day, they stay together.

Explore the world together. Sit in the silence. Until they find peace.

I'm gonna say it: there'd be a lot less vitriol towards Sydcarmy if it was an m/m ship, especially if it was another attractive white man. 😒 For example put a man like Luca (sorry for dragging you into this babe) and put him in a Sydcarmy scene like the one under the table or the panic attack without changing anything. I bet it'd SUDDENLY make sense to them. 🙄

favorite bug?

In general, my favourite bugs are beetles! :) specifically though the giant flower beetle is my fave cuz i mean ohhhhh look at them

commonly kept as pets and bred for colour variation!! these guys are my fave and i have an (to be complete) painting of em in my room :p i'd love to own some one day!!

honourable mentions though bc having 1 favourite is simply too hard in a world so vast!!

Its been a while since i sunk into thinking about my fave tarantulas, and so ive forgotten the names of most of these species. but i put my faves on the futch scale:

tumblr is not currently selling your art to midjourney. the deal has not been made. even if it had, the data is currently unusable. i am begging you all to chill and stop sharing posts promoting nightshade and glaze as the last bastions of artistic integrity against evil tech companies.

i think what annoys me about a lot of the ways people online talk about AI art is that a lot of the proposed "solutions" i see championed are functionally just riding on the idea of un-opening pandora's box, which means they're incredibly ineffective because that's just not something we can do at this point. and worse, that sentiment is exploitable.

sure it makes you feel like you, personally, as a creator, have control over this new development threatening your livelihood. but that's not a good thing! glaze is a grift that uses the exact same technology as stable diffusion and straight up doesn't work as advertised, the creators bank on you feeling that way. it doesn't protect you against anything, it just makes you feel good, meanwhile the creators gets money and exposure out of your fear.

if you didn't know, the same developers who made glaze are also behind nightshade. and what do they do with nightshade's popularity? well it's simple, they've studied the effect it has on AI art algorithms. and then they sold the research.

and you must understand, even if everything i've said wasn't the case, making the pictures these algorithms produce compatible for training algorithms again is as easy as running them through a de-noising upscaler.

and i'm an artist myself. i do not want my art used in that way. i do not want to be in midjourney's training data, i don't want someone to make a LORA of my work without my consent, i don't want any of that. but still, ask yourself: who benefits from making us panicked and afraid every single time a new AI deal is mentioned? because it's not you or me. there is a problem, and no problem has ever been solved through fear.

which is also why i'm not here to say you're evil for using these tools, or that they are secretly worse than the companies you're trying to combat by using them. it's not wrong to want to feel safe, you are perfectly within your right to do what makes you feel in control. you can keep using them if that's what you want! but please, be aware of what's going on here.

there is no going back. the technology exists, we have to accept it. because the sooner we accept this is the reality we live in, the sooner we'll be able to fight it. but i am begging you all to stop pretending easy solutions exists to this problem, there are none.

demand transparency. demand control. demand that this things be opt-in. demand compensation.

you will not be saved from companies trying to profit from these algorithms by simply going to their competitors.

I know it's already been weeks since the finale, but the fact that Chris was so pissed at Eddie that he would rather go to Texas and stay with the grandparents who spent his whole life infantilizing him because of his CP and have been trying to take him away from his dad ever since his mother left is something that continues to bother me.

I honestly can't tell if it's OOC writing, a plot element to get Eddie to come out, or just something that's supposed to further develop Eddie and Buck's relationship in Season 8.

Either way, I'm still in constant pain.

HAPPY 5TH ANNIVERSARY KASPER RHODES!!

it's unbelievable to me. It's been over 2 years since I started listening to WtNV, let alone when I found out about him. Kasper means so much to me. Without him, I don't even think I'd be drawing humans! I was so determined to make him fanart due to the lack of it. And now here we are.

I thought It'd be fitting if I redrew one of my first full Kasper pieces, "Kaspler". This time, however, instead of just shoving him into the Onceler's clothes, I changed them up a wee, to moreso match his colour, red.

ALSO! A big thank you to my good friend @rockosaur , who helped me a lot when it came to posing, as well as providing me w some tips overall, please send her over some love!

Cat kinoko

oh boy! explanation time. so. When we killed off Ranboo in a friend and me's rp, SF, they wanted to bring in a cat that was similar to Ranboo, but not exactly them. and Wilbur got sent to Kinoko Mental Institute a bit after Ranboo. Got stabbed with their own horn. so we had the idea to bring in the cat, have George take it in, and make Wilbur attached to it. but we scrapped the idea soon after. I still have the very beginning of what i was gonna write for it, but I never wrote anything more

   There was a cat. At Kinoko Mental Facility.

   George had been walking up to the building one day when he heard the most pathetic meow ever possible from the bushes. Immediately, he dropped his bags and went to rescue the cat. He loved animals.

   He eventually lured the kitty out of the bushes. It was a small thing, with a strange black and white coat. The cat meowed as it looked up at George, who smiled at it and rubbed it's chin.

   "Hey, little fella. 

not the greatest one, certainly not finished. Basically George was gonna take the cat inside, it was gonna become the mascot of Kinoko in a way, and Wilbur was gonna name it Boo and be really sad when he had to leave. scrapped plotline though! so.

Sorry if you've already been informed of this, but in case you haven't, I just want you to know that Sam still has the teal pom pom hat! He said on the podcast that he misplaced it almost immediately and thought he had lost it, but that he found it in his bag once he got back!

NO!!! no one told me!!! 😭😭 thank you so much, that teal hat is incredibly important to me and i am delighted he still has it
