went to buy hair dye today after work and got fucking chased down in the parking lot by 4 dudes in a car screaming slurs and shit at me abt my body and my hair and shit. and 2 ladies were walkin in front of me n no one said shit or asked if i was okay. being a girls girl isnt for dykes and heshes i am well aware but it always stings and it sucks feeling unsafe and also knowing theres no one on your side. cant show your heart or tears just have to rage and scream and fight back and hope for the best bc what else is there. last time i saw a girl in a parking lot getting yelled at by dudes in a car driving by i screamed go fuck yourselves and she thanked me and it felt good and i will always stand up fr others but i wish tough butch dykes had someone to stand up for us too sometimes. thts what femmes are for honestly but my femme is 200 miles away and im just Here. anyways i hope those guys get in a fiery car wreck and die

wrt Felassan I'm just going to be forever thinking about that moment when Briala starts to confront him about all the inconsistencies in his behavior. When she's just trying to get him to help her against who are ostensibly his people, and then she stumbles on this realization that if she keeps going he will fucking kill her because he is hiding something much more than not being Dalish. I'm constantly going to be chewing over this. What was going through his mind? What changes between this and "nah don't tell me the passcode. please. don't tell me the passcode." It's fascinating to me ; ;

YEAH... it's sad that the book is so quippy and fast-paced bc i feel like even 10% more breathing room to show the character shift there would've been neat. i feel like if they had leaned into that theme of "learning to care about the people around you rather than abstract goals given to you by an authority" it could've been fun, especially since theoretically that's supposed to be part of briala's character too.

except uhh. the author didn't seem to think it was weird for her to help kill all those dalish, and then immediately take the moral high ground in arguments, with no introspection or cognitive dissonance at all. once again, i am wishing weekes a very editor.

Got some bad news today, and what I really wanted to be able to do to cope with it was make a dirty joke about it to the LOML before we had serious conversation about it, but that didn’t happen obviously so instead I had tough love chat with my mother and depression napped the rest of the day away.
