yeah yeah okay everyone talks about Eddie Vedder's tendency to write of driving away in cars, ocean metaphors, the perspective of a woman, etc, but when will everyone notice all the references to hands and specifically the holding of hands
#I've just had this sudden realization#at 3am bc I woke up bc I had to pee#ur welcome for that knowledge that u did not ask for#EVEN IN SONGS HE COVERS#'hand holding is mundane' okay and so are sunsets but humans find significance nonetheless#I'd say 'holding/taking hands' is a more important gesture/concept than ANYTHING else he sings of#it's about HUMAN.
