living still i was looking out the window, and as i stare out at the lilies, i hear her voice

"am i still beautiful?" it shocks me to the core. i see what she means, i see the crevices and corners in her face, the way her hairs grey in the sun.

but it does not make her ugly. only human. so, as i stare out the window, watching her toy with her hair from the corner of my eye, i respond

"no, my dearest. you are simply alive."
