I was just going through your posts about how the Olympians feel about Apollo and something hit me, I think the reason he is Zeus' fav is because he is not a child from his marriage with Hera, like Ares

Like how Zeus was a child of Kronos and Rhea but Kronos still had other affairs but in the end it was Zeus who overthrew him, soooo if we apply the same logic to the gods...

Technically Ares would be the son Zeus would be afraid of but not Apollo, since Apollo is not his child via his marriage with Hera

So maybe that's why Zeus doesn't like Ares whereas his other children like Athena and Apollo are his faves?

Your thoughts on his headcanon?

Honestly, while Zeus doesn't like Ares, I don't think he's scared of him - no offense to Ares, but he isn't exactly the power in the room 99% of the time.

But I can see Zeus believing his upheaval would come from a child of Hera and not one of his trysts.

Which would make Apollo & Athena's betrayal all the more satisfying heh heh

Who knows maybe Zeus would be like "godsdammit Ares was a bad influence on them!" (probably mostly Apollo since Athena and Ares don't get along).
