This reminds me of the time a mental health ward said they couldnt admit me due to my level of required physical support, and strove to assure me that they weren't discriminating, they just didnt have adequate staff to accept someone of my level of disability.

I grant that they werent *maliciously* discriminating, or *wilfully* discriminating, I believe that they wanted to help me and were some level of upset that they couldnt. They were, however, literally discriminating against me due to my idisability. Could not would not admit me due to my disability. I was upset, I understood, the root issue is that they need more resources. Its not a hate crime. It is technically discrimination.

i gotta be so honest with ya'll.

while i was in the shower not too long ago, i randomly started thinking of that heartbreaking scene in 'in your hands' where solana is going on almost two weeks of soraya essentially crying herself to sleep. screaming and crying for "daddy:, each night getting progressively worse. solana realizing raya, and herself, can't continue to lose sleep like that. so, sol bites the bullet, swallows her pride, unblocks roman and texts him, asking if he can come over.

she's not even certain he'll respond. especially since it's damn near midnight.

he's outside her door less than half an hour later.

and, it's so hard for her seeing him after two weeks of icing him out and trying to cut him out of her and raya's life. but, raya is suffering, and she can't have that. and the way his eyes instantly soften when he sees his daughter for the first time in two weeks, and sweet raya starts to calm down the minute he's holding her.

i don't wanna give it all away (i can say this because we already know how this story plays out), but the minute solana finally tells him he needs to leave after raya is down for about an hour, just sleeping peacefully in his arms. and, the minute he goes to put her in her crib, only to see his shirt still in there along with the stuffy he got her during the first date with solana?????
