Truly, Madly, Steeply, Brew - J.P. Sterling Series: Coffee Loft: Mountain Brew Collection (#1) 138 pages January 8th, 2025
He’s burly, bearded and irresistibrew! Is there anything better than that? After being cheated on, I conclude that I’m done with dating—forever.
Nothing good can come of it.
I’m so over relationship drama that I take off on an adventure to help my brother, Christian, open his new Coffee Loft franchise in the rural mountain town of Mapleton, Vermont. It’s supposed to be a simple escape, a chance to hide from heartbreak.
What I didn’t expect is to meet Stallone, a handsome and rugged man, with a gaze that makes me weak in the knees.
I'm not looking for love, but it’s okay to have a little distraction.
He quickly shutsdown my flirtation, making it clear he’s not looking for anything.
Perfect. Neither am I.
Except when I look back at him, his gaze so dialed into mine, my heart skips a beat.
He’s a very attractive distraction.
Maybe I am looking? Just a little.

☕️ Review☕️
Love at First Sip - Amy Stephens
3⭐️
After her divorce settlement, Deanna takes the money and goes back to her hometown and does what she’s always wanted to do..
“She was excited about bringing The Coffee Loft franchise to Lake Tahoe and she hoped the community embraced this endeavor as much as she did.”
Opening up a coffee shop!
This is a fun, light hearted, clean romance novella about seeing the boy, who’s now a man, you once had a crush on as a child.
In fact, he’s the local milk delivery man to the coffee shop.
“I never stopped loving you. The day you left, I never gave up that you’d eventually find your way back.”
This one ended a bit abruptly. I would have loved to see Deanna and Gavin get reacquainted and see the romance blossom more. Even it it’s a closed door romance, I felt like this story needed more.
I can’t wait to read more stories in the Coffee Loft Franchise world!
*The foster mom for kittens in me needs to mention to please don’t ever feed kittens cow milk. It can be fatal !

Pardon My French Press- J.P. Sterling
3⭐️
Christian is the new owner of a coffee shop, part of the Coffee Loft franchise and he’s bitten off a bit more than he can chew. Overwhelmed, he makes a really off-the-rocker decision to fire nearly everyone right before Christmas.
I found it really hard to like Christian. He was an unhappy and unsufferble character which is why I enjoyed Portia, an ex employee who was fired on Christmas Eve (she ate a single Oreo and Christian had a bizarre reaction to that)… when she played around with Christian and stood in front of his shop to promote her own business, a matchmaking app.
There may have also been a dog involved that knocked him on his butt as well. He literally thought he was dying too. 🫣
Served him right for throwing out her French Press!
While I did not like the male character at all, I found this sweet and clean short romance story enjoying.
Ends on a cute Happily Ever After.

Jp Foote mg69 belt fed machine gun. So far I've only been able to find that it was made only as a prototype. I'd like to find some more information on this gun. I purchased it at an estate auction mainly as a conversation piece but the more I look over it, it appears to be in working order. I've thoroughly cleaned and oiled it and the action appears to work perfectly along with the feed mechanism. Thanks for any info

No idea how late this response is, but the MG69 was designed by John P. Foote in the late 1960s (I believe he’s still alive). He was negotiating a deal to get this gun and an assault rifle he designed (the FAC-70) into production at Sterling Armaments in Britain. However Sterling were approached by ArmaLite to produce the AR-18 and therefore rejected Foote’s offer.
According to Thomas Nelson, the MG69 feeds from standard M13 NATO belt links through the underside of the receiver (I assume you already have some idea of how the gun operates).
J.P. Foote designed a lot of weapons during his career, which were all ubiquitously inexpensive and extremely simplistic. Probably his most famous (or notorious) design was the Cobray Terminator shotgun.

It is not alive. It's no more a person than a tumor is at that stage
tumors aren’t separate human beings with their own DNA that develops and grows to be able to survive outside the womb.
and science proves you wrong, the baby IS alive.

"To begin with, scientifically something very radical occurs between the processes of gametogenesis and fertilization the change from a simple part of one human being (i.e., a sperm) and a simple part of another human being (i.e., an oocyte usually referred to as an "ovum" or "egg"), which simply possess "human life", to a new, genetically unique, newly existing, individual, whole living human being (a single-cell embryonic human zygote). That is, upon fertilization, parts of human beings have actually been transformed into something very different from what they were before; they have been changed into a single, whole human being. During the process of fertilization, the sperm and the oocyte cease to exist as such, and a new human being is produced."
www.telegraph.co.uk/science/20…
"Not only is it an incredible spectacle, highlighting the very moment that a new life begins, the size of the flash can be used to determine the quality of the fertilised egg."
www.evolutionnews.org/2015/08/…
A new human being comes into existence at the fusion of the egg and the sperm. The new human being develops through stages, and at each stage of humandevelopment -- zygote, embryo, fetus, neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult -- the individual is a human being. There is no scientific debate about this."

New York: Wiley-Liss, 2001. p. 8.******“[All] organisms, however large and complex they might be as full grown, begin life as a single cell. This is true for the human being, for instance, who begins life as a fertilized ovum.”Dr. Morris Krieger “The Human Reproductive System” p 88 (1969) Sterling Pub. Co******“The first cell of a new and unique human life begins existence at the moment of conception (fertilization) when one living sperm from the father joins with one living ovum from the mother. It is in this manner that human life passes from one generation to another. Given the appropriate environment and genetic composition, the single cell subsequently gives rise to trillions of specialized and integrated cells that compose the structures and functions of each individual human body. Every human being alive today and, as far as is known scientifically, every human being that ever existed, began his or her unique existence in this manner, i.e., as one cell. If this first cell or any subsequent configuration of cells perishes, the individual dies, ceasing to exist in matter as a living being. There are no known exceptions to this rule in the field of human biology.”James Bopp, ed., Human Life and Health Care Ethics, vol. 2 (Frederick, MD: University Publications of America, 1985)******Rand McNally, Atlas of the Body (New York: Rand McNally, 1980) 139, 144“In fusing together, the male and female gametes produce a fertilized single cell, the zygote, which is the start of a new individual.”******“….it is scientifically correct to say that human life begins at conception.”Dr. Micheline Matthews-Roth, Harvard Medical School: Quoted by Public Affairs Council******From Newsweek November 12, 1973:“Human life begins when the ovum is fertilized and the new combined cell mass begins to divide.”Dr. Jasper Williams, Former President of the National Medical Association (p 74)******“The formation, maturation and meeting of a male and female sex cell are all preliminary to their actual union into a combined cell, or zygote, which definitely marks the beginning of a new individual. The penetration of the ovum by the spermatozoon, and the coming together and pooling of their respective nuclei, constitutes the process of fertilization.”Leslie Brainerd Arey, “Developmental Anatomy” seventh edition space (Philadelphia: Saunders, 1974), 55******The Biology of Prenatal Develpment, National Geographic, 2006. The offspring destined to develop from the fertilized ovum will have a genetic constitution different from anyone else in the world.”******Thibodeau, G.A., and Anthony, C.P., Structure and Function of the Body, 8th edition, St. Louis: Times Mirror/Mosby College Publishers, St. Louis, 1988. pages 409-419“The science of the development of the individual before birth is called embryology. It is the story of miracles, describing the means by which a single microscopic cell is transformed into a complex human being. Genetically the zygote is complete. It represents a new single celled individual.”******Scarr, S., Weinberg, R.A., and Levine A., Understanding Development, Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, Inc., 1986. page 86“The development of a new human being begins when a male’s sperm pierces the cell membrane of a female’s ovum, or egg….The villi become the placenta, which will nourish the developing infant for the next eight and a half months.”******Clark, J. ed., The Nervous System: Circuits of Communication in the Human Body, Torstar Books Inc., Toronto, 1985, page 99“Each human begins life as a combination of two cells, a female ovum and a much smaller male sperm. British inflation eased last month after hitting a 41-year high in October, offering some comfort to the Bank of England, but the pressure on households remained intense as food and drink prices rose at the fastest pace since 1977. Annual consumer price inflation fell to 10.5% in December from November’s 10.7%, the Office for National Statistics said on Wednesday, a drop in line with economists’ forecasts in a Reuters poll. However, while lower prices for petrol and clothing pushed down the headline rate, the cost of food and non-alcoholic beverages was 16.8% higher than a year earlier, the sharpest increase since September 1977, led by eggs, milk and cheese. The Bank of England forecast in November that headline CPI would drop from a peak of 11.1% last October to around 5% by the end of 2023 as energy prices stabilise. But policymakers have warned of continued upward pressure on inflation from a tight jobs market and other factors, and financial markets expect the central bank to raise its main interest rate to 4% on Feb. 2 from 3.5%. “The lower overall (CPI) rate … may reduce the risk of a wage-price spiral, but these figures suggest the BoE’s job is not yet done,” HSBC senior economist Liz Martins said. Sterling strengthened against the U.S. dollar after the data. British inflation in December was higher than the 6.5% annual rate recorded for the United States and the 9.6% in Germany. While natural gas prices are below where they were a year ago, just before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, they are still several times higher than they were in mid-2021 and the impact of the increase continues to feed through the economy. Core CPI – which excludes energy, food, alcohol and tobacco, and which some economists view as a better guide to underlying inflation trends – was unchanged at 6.3% in December, in contrast to economists’ forecast for a drop to 6.2%. Inflation in services prices – which some BoE officials view as signalling more persistent inflation pressures and the secondary impact of higher energy and wage costs – rose to the highest since March 1992 at 6.8%. WAGE PRESSURES Finance minister Jeremy Hunt said after the figures were released that high inflation was a “nightmare for family budgets”, hurt business investment and led to strike action. “However tough, we need to stick to our plan to bring it down,” he said. Hunt has resisted pay demands from public-sector trade unions, many of whom are taking strike action as their members’ wages are rising much more slowly than inflation and by less than the average in the private sector. Retail price inflation (RPI), used as a benchmark in some pay talks, was 13.4% in December, down from November’s 14.0%. Britain’s economy is set to contract this year as inflation squeezes disposable incomes, and the BoE forecasts unemployment will rise, factors which some BoE policymakers have said mean little or no more tightening is likely to be needed. Other members of the Monetary Policy Committee think it could be a tougher job to steer inflation back to 2% as wages are rising at their fastest rate in over 20 years. “This week’s evidence would suggest that bold action is required,” said Hugh Gimber, global market strategist at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, who expects the BoE to raise rates to at least 4.5% before stopping.
