seams all crooked is just a sweet friendship fic of the gang in jatp that I love so much!! And listen, I'm a sucker for people making terrible decisions in emotional moments, so this bright sessions/college tapes fic, Light My Heart And Light My Shadow, is so freaking good!!!

💯 A fic that makes you think #writergoals

Ooooh so many! Dance the Devil is a fantastic jatp s2 fic and it makes me wish I could write such amazing plot lines following so many people! And Passing of the Skye Boat is an INCREDIBLE long Bellarke/100 fic that I love so much and again wish I could write a whole novel like that

This was harder than I thought because I usually scroll the ao3 tag for whatever fandom pretty regularly, but I chose the delicate art of a floral fuck you because @molinapattersons loves this one and insisted I read it (and I'm very glad I did!) And then I loved this bellarke one, it's something sinister to love (without regard for dear tomorrow) which was technically rec'ed to me by the author! Lol

💯💯💯 From a psychological standpoint, JATP is, at its core, a horror series. Absolutely.

Painful and untimely death of three of the four main characters? ✔

Losing all of his friends just minutes before their potential breakthrough? ✔

Losing your only child after a terrible fight without a chance to make peace? ✔

Being forced to watch from the sidelines as you see your still grief-ridden parents mourning your death, unable to comfort them? ✔

Not only losing your mom but also a fundamental part of your soul? ✔

Almost being sent away to a far-way country (and thus being ripped away from your friends and family) after you got kicked out of the music program because you're still grieving? ✔

Having to choose between eternal enslavement or painful extermination? ✔

Learning that you have to send your friends - the people that saved you - away in order to save them? ✔

Making the choice to rescue the guy you like from enslavement despite knowing that you'll never see him again? ✔

Getting canceled despite ending the season on a cliffhanger, making the entire "unfinished business"-thing very real for your audience? ✔

Experiencing food poisoning makes you realize how gruesome the deaths of Luke, Alex, and Reggie actually were.

Not only was their untimely death hilariously stupid and very humiliating. (Come on, dying from rancid street dogs is remarkedly uncool. But it perfectly captures what our three boys are: wannabe bad boys who, in reality, are just adorable dorks.)

No, it's also extremely painful. And it's not a very fast death either. So while they were suffering from tremendous physical pain, they were also plagued by the awareness that they a) will die and b) have no opportunity to make amends with their loved ones. Especially for Luke, this must have been pure mental torture.

That's actual horror.

This is the build-up for an off-screen horror scene.
