Norwegian F-35 fighters intercept five Russian planes
Fernando Valduga By Fernando Valduga 11/20/2023 - 11:17am Interceptions, Military
The NATO Air Command released on Friday an urgent outing of Norwegian F-35 fighters from the Evenes base, while Russian military aircraft invaded the peripheries of NATO's allied airspace.
The Norwegian 5ª generation F-35 fighters were mobilized in response to the identification of two Tu-160 strategic bombers, accompanied by two MiG-31 interceptors and two Il-78 Midas air refueling aircraft.

As indicated by the Air Command report, these Russian aircraft were sighted in the vicinity of the airspace monitored by NATO.
The meeting between the F-35 and the Russian fighter planes resulted in the immediate withdrawal of the latter, quickly returning to Russian territory after the meeting with the Norwegian advanced fighters.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Tu-160 carried out routine flights within international standards on neutral waters in the seas of Barents and Norway.

Supreme Court Denies Plea from Class 12 Students to Appear in JEE Advanced 2025
In a significant ruling, the Supreme Court of India has dismissed the plea of 18 Class 12 students who had sought permission to appear for the JEE Advanced 2025. The court clarified that such matters fall under the domain of educational policy and are not for judicial intervention.
The petitioners, who had completed their Class 12 exams in 2023, argued that while they were allowed to attempt JEE-Mains in 2025, they were unfairly excluded from appearing for JEE-Advanced, which serves as the gateway to admissions in the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
The Court's Ruling on JEE Advanced Eligibility
The bench, consisting of Judges B R Gavai and Augustine George Masih, reasoned that the issue at hand was related to academic policy, making it outside the scope of judicial decision-making. The students' complaint arose due to a change in the eligibility criteria for JEE-Advanced, which initially allowed three attempts as of November 2024, only to reverse this decision on November 18, 2024.
The petitioners pointed out that while the change in policy allowed for three attempts in JEE-Advanced, they were excluded, creating an imbalance in opportunities for those from the 2023 batch when compared to students from the 2024 and 2025 batches.
Disparity in Attempts for JEE Mains and Advanced
The court questioned why there was a difference in the number of attempts allowed for JEE-Mains and JEE-Advanced. The bench noted, "Why not just two attempts for JEE-Mains as well?" highlighting a potential inconsistency in the number of attempts granted for both phases of the exam.
In defense of the policy change, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta informed the court that the reversal of the three-attempt policy was aimed at alleviating the undue pressure on students. He emphasized that the original intention was to prevent prolonged cycles of preparation that detract from their academic studies.
Policy Stability and Academic Planning
The court affirmed the revised policy by the Joint Admission Board (JAB), underscoring the importance of policy stability and careful academic planning. The ruling serves as a reminder of the balance between offering opportunities and managing the stress associated with competitive exams.
The JEE examination process is a two-step affair, with JEE-Mains held twice a year, followed by JEE-Advanced for eligible candidates.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the Supreme Court’s decision highlights the delicate intersection between educational policies and the opportunities provided to students. While the petitioners sought to challenge the new policy, the court emphasized the importance of adhering to academic policy and its long-term stability for the greater benefit of students.
For students, this ruling clarifies the eligibility framework for JEE-Advanced and emphasizes the importance of timely understanding and adapting to changes in academic policies.

guys
so my board exams finished 2 weeks ago and I officially finished 10th
however
my class 11 also started a week ago
which means I get no summer break
as some of y’all know I’ve been making a webtoon that I’ve based of off my villain characters
which I’ve been putting off since 2023 so that I could finish class 10 peacefully as it’s an important grade. This was done under the notion that I would commence the comic in grade 10’s summer break
my new school has cancelled summer break and Christmas holidays for the academic years of 2025-2026 and 2026-2027. For the entire two years I have a total of 20 holidays give or take. And Saturdays are working days as well. They’ve done this so that we score good marks for grade 12th’s boards and for college entrance tests, namely JEE Mains and JEE Advanced.
I may start the webtoon this year but the updates are gonna be hella slow. But I promise you the story is gonna be good. wish me luck
have a good day/night
