New station ads for Phantom Parade are up in Shinjuku!

Finding it was a colossal pain in the ass because Shinjuku station sucks. It’s massive and maze-like, but I had to find my boys.

After I walked through this hallway, I shuffled off to the Breakup KFC. It was a day of anime pilgrimages.

I have, in the past…6-8 months, allowed myself to feel and express platonic love and it has given me so much comfort.

What I want right now: my smut and fan fic friends to sit at this table at my favorite coffee shop and we just write. Bouncing ideas off each other, absorbed in the scene we are working on, laughing over the absurd ideas we just put down.

Happy New Year!

I restarted this tumblr,

Because I found an amazing writer on AO3,

And she nudged me into writing fanfic for the first time since I was 14,

And I started to doodle and draw,

And then I met more people,

And met my best friend in June,

having to come to terms with the fact that love is not an everlasting performance in which you attempt to retain the attention of your significant other but rather a release of control and putting faith into them and trusting them to choose to stay with you no matter what you have to offer

I've spoken with two moving companies today and now my anxiety can take a breath. Honestly it was only the second one that got me in a tizzy. I can speak Japanese at a reasonable level but I get so tongue tied sometimes. Like today. Just kinda mumbled and hope that my point got across. Also, had trouble remembering counters and "yes, all that stuff in the shelves"

I shall reward myself because I can't be a responsible human being without treats.

I know this is super corporate and all that jazz but

I've been freelancing for a company since late January and today I got to sit in a meeting to onboard more freelancers. It wasn't like a typical meeting but it was nice. To work, panic over the time and making sure I get there on time, and contribute.

Normally I just sit at home doing fairly low-stakes low-impact solo tasks with the occasional message on Slack.

I miss doing "real" work with a team and meetings and deadlines and corporate structure.

One day my Japanese will be adequate enough to join a company full time again.

From 2017 until mid-2022 I had a really nice marketing job at a startup that was acquired by a larger company and every day I still miss it. The larger company had financial trouble due to rapid expansion so they had many rounds of layoffs. The people were great, some inane HR bureaucracy, and clear goals and work - I was paid well (amazing, actually, in local valuation. It may have overvalued me for the local market) and low stress.

Not to toss out the beggars cup but also, shoot my shot? If anyone works for a big multi-national company and has space for someone with a marketing and project management background, I am incredibly flexible and open to a wide range of job titles. I'd love to jump from freelance back to full time!

Hello I love where I live. Japan has fulfilled me perfectly, I want to stay out the rest of my days there.

Ahhhhhhh I love theme cafes. Husband and I made it to the Square Enix Cafe a few weeks ago, and I managed to snag a seat at Artnia for today.

Barret’s roll sando, Cid’s drink, and Gongaga’s drink. Plus one of the unique coasters!
