#jenna & david captain the thiam ship i just know it

ok but everyone talks about how jenna geyer 100% loves theo and would adopt him in a heartbeat (which yes, canon, obviously) but can we please talk about DR. GEYER?? like david geyer is such an involved (step)dad to liam, you know he clocked theo immediately like hmm. who is this traumatized, grumpy stray puppy living in my guest room. i'm watching him. 👀

but plot twist: he ends up loving theo too. because theo and david?? are just VIBING

like theo watches crime and drama shows with jenna (shhh don't tell liam, theo pretends he's too cool for it), but in the kitchen?? he's with david. learning to cook. at first it's survival instinct ("not sure how long i'm allowed to stay, better learn, better not starve") but then he gets into it. he likes cooking. and david is patient and lowkey sarcastic and smart so they just hang out in this chill, comfortable way.

also. and i cannot stress this enough. DAVID GEYER IS A MUSIC NERD. like jazz, classic rock, weird indie deep cuts, maybe some vinyl collection hidden somewhere. so theo and david just... talk about music. they listen to albums. they argue about lyrics. and yeah liam shows theo music too (obviously) but theo absolutely tells him one day, totally deadpan:

"your dad has better taste than you."

and liam is like WHAT THE ACTUAL-

just... theo being soft and loved and a part of the dunbar-geyer family?? yes yes yes. he has people now. he belongs. and maybe he never says it out loud but he doesn't feel like he's waiting for it all to disappear anymore.
