In the late 20th century, early twenty-first century tabletop role playing game Dungeons and Dragons (as well as in media for the same), there are a number of "races" (read: intelligent species) that are designed for the default fantasy world for the game. One of these species is the Tabaxi, which are intelligent, humanoid cats.

Different DnD races have different characteristics from one another, impacting game play. Tabaxi, being based on cats, are quite nimble. While any race can play any class (the archetype for their character's development), players who wish to optimize tend to make choices that synergize with one another, so it is quite common to play a Rogue (a skillful, nimble, thief/assassin/scout/conman figure) when they play as a Tabaxi. It would be far less common to see figurines for Tabaxi Artificers or Tabaxi Barbarians (though they are certain to exist).

The humorous image here (along side being a cat image, which is popular in the early twenty-first century) is a cat holding a Tabaxi miniature specifically, on account of the shared feline nature.

Most people in the early twenty-first century would be unfamiliar with Tabaxi. People who have some knowledge of Dungeons and Dragons would be quite familiar.

Seems like Fancy has ideas about how I should paint these Tabaxi minis!

I can't ramble about their designs in the discord, so here I will ramble about them.

(Disclaimer, neither Vivianne or The Ups belong to me, nor did I design them)

Vivianne Adler

Vivianne is our tank, in AC only. Why the hell does our healer have the actual most hp? Idk, but I hate it (I'm the healer).

Vivianne is our artificer, so she builds her own armor and has two main builds: Stealth and Armor. Her drawn design is a modified version of her stealth armor, and the one behind her is her Armor that has 19 AC.

She fights with a lot of electricity, so I implemented that into her design. And you can't see it, but she has bun in the back. I have beef with that bun. Also her eyes don't have any shine in them (And her whites are greyer) because she's a dhampir.

Also Vivianne's armor has a cape, but I cut that out because it really cut down on the visibility of the pose.

"The Ups"

These our or jerbeen players, Buttercup and Cutterbup. They were twins, emphasis on were. They died a few months back, but I needed to draw them.

I tried to make them really different, but also really similar. Both of them are wearing kids pajamas, but Buttercup has short sleeves and pants and is star themed, compared to Cutterbup's bright colors and longer sleeves/pants. Cutterbup's fur is more slicked back, while Buttercup's fur is more unruly.

Also a little fun fact: Buttercup was actually mostly designed by me. Only Cutterbup was ever designed by his player, so I did heavily base Buttercup on Cutterbup.

Veriaso Melies (LV 6)

It has been a hot minute since I posted anything about, but that's mainly my fault. I've had a wip ref of her since October I have not finished. And today when I swore that I would finish it I decided that I hated it. So I drew a new ref :)

Veriaso is my half drow/tiefling warlock with a celestial patron. I play Curse of Strahd with her (NO SPOILERS!!!!)

It has been 6 months since I last posted about her, so long in fact that she wasn't engaged. But that doesn't matter, because in those six months her fiancé died anyway!

I might have shot myself in the foot by making me have to make a ref for her every level because of her flipping hair :) Every level her hair becomes more white because of her patron. I also take that time to update her scars

If anyone can guess who her patron is they will get a virtual cookie :)

Lissa Hart

This is Lissa Hart! Functionally speaking shes a Jerbeen Bard but really shes just a small mouse-girl with a heart of gold, shes very kind and sweet but not the sharpest tool in the shed.

She used to work with a troupe of various performers from bull-riders to acrobats to individuals with incredible magical aptitude, and shed help with many of their acts, often playing the part of a comic relief. Dressing much like a clown would in our universe so as to stand out even within the troupe.

Eventually she left the group and struck out on her own hoping to play her violin and be taken seriously as a musician instead of perceived as a joke - she never did get rid of her signature outfit though.
