A Confessional Lamentation
Forgive me father,
for I have lived sin.
Broken words written–
abused the covenant of soul.
I am not crying sympathy,
I don't need it.
Nor am I apologizing
for who I am
as but a man.
But I am confessing–
as to choices I've lived.
Under your unbreaking gaze,
eyes piercing through my walls of Jericho.
Unto this cathedral do I preach my confession;
A sermon of my own guilt.
Of choices made in heat,
to satiate desires.
Muddy my hands
while burning others.
Allowing my rot-
all that festers-
to grow on others.
Extending wholes of myself,
corroding the flesh of those
I chose to couple with.
I am at your alter father;
do you hear me?
My confessions of guilt?
For a trial enforced by none.
An auto-hunt for a which
whose bod I reside within.
Am I hiding in him or does he inhabit me?
Where does the wickedness grow?
What garden did I sow?
What putrescence did I ferment?
Only to gross others with my inimical self.
I am he who has hurt me most.
I have gazed unto the valley of my soul and seen it dry.
Does love poison me?
Or is mine yet venom?
Running in my veins and arteries.
But for the blood I shed of my own,
It burns upon others.
Like your holy water-
unto those revenants in the dark.
My wounds hurt all.
Can your love mend it?
Can your mercy shine unto me?
A hallow son seeking requiem?
Can you cleanse me,
my tainted love,
for myself,
and for others?
Or am I made to be your one winged angel?
I am seeking you Father.
I want your hand
to mend the defilement of this soul that is my own.

Monday, 31 July 2023:
The Days of Our Nights Luna (Real Gone Music) (released in August 2023; original album released in 1999)
Outside of a 2016 pressing available only in the Captured Tracks box set Long Players 92-99 (and long out of print), this is the only pressing on vinyl in the US and it comes from the California label Real Gone Music who press a lot of unusual items (why do I think I want their Fanny reissues).
I've been following Luna since my brother introduced me to their debut Lunapark. I wasn't besotted with them, but oddly enough I always bought their albums. I'd long owned the 1996 Rykodisc box Galaxie 500 and went through a complete love affair with that band that made me appreciate Luna more. But it was Dean Wareham (front man for both bands) and his autobiography Black Postcards that really made me insatiable for his music and I've never missed a release of anything he has done regardless of what name it is under. (I still contend that his newest album, 2021's I Have Nothing To Say To The Mayor of LA is one of the best albums early in this decade.)
You see the album cover and the back of the jacket in the first two photos above. Below is a close up of the hype sticker.

The next two photos are of the front and back of the inner sleeve.

So how groovy is this orange swirl vinyl? Pretty darn groovy if you ask me. Check it out below in a standard shot and my copyrighted/ patented Sunshine Shot.

You can see both sides of the record label in the next two shots.

What a lot of people forget (and wikipedia is clueless and mentions none of this) is that this album, Luna's fifth release, was on their label Elektra, but the furthest the label got to releasing it was as a promotional item. The promo came out, but then the band got dropped. They were picked up by Jericho (a subsidiary of Sire) and when Jericho released the album the tracklist had changed. Here is that somewhat hard to find Elektra promo of this album. You can see for yourself the difference in the tracklist.

Note that the track Requiem For A Mouse no longer appears on the Real Gone Music version (and it did not appear on the Jericho pressing either). The song Words Without Wrinkles found on this album I have now (and on the Jericho pressing) did not appear on the Elektra promo. I have never owned the Jericho CD, instead, somehow I ended up with the European CD on Beggars Banquet which follows the exact same tracklisting as Jericho. If you are a Luna fan, then you need to track down a copy of the Elektra promo. Below, you can check out the Beggars Banquet CD. Keep in mind, the US Jericho CD also came with a white inlay tray.

The thing about my AU is that there are at least four plot lines in it and the mere thought of trying to make that a full fic scares the shit out of me. So I’ll probably just write a bunch of interconnected one shots, if I write this
Context: Post bad ending, starting in the spring after the failed android uprising
Plot 1: Connor, days away from being shut down as ‘obsolete,’ is kidnapped by a group called Requiem. While he’s being knocked out, another team from Requiem attacks Cyberlife headquarters, causing a ton of damage to the building and everything in it, including the valuable technology within. Humans and androids are left mostly unharmed. Connor is reprogrammed by the leader of Requiem, a mysterious android woman called Alina, changed so that instead of being loyal to Cyberlife, he’s loyal to Requiem [something that should be impossible for anyone to do]. Connor has... mixed feelings about this. Cyberlife created him, but he is a machine, he serves who he is programmed to. And Cyberlife was going to shut him down anyway. But he’s not sure he’s on board with Alina’s plans...
Plot 2: The Detroit police now have a low-burning feud against Cyberlife because of Connor’s actions. They can’t do anything outright, because Cyberlife is so powerful, it could have every member in the precinct replaced with an android or human that they approve of. So they protest in smaller ways. When the call about the attack on Cyberlife comes in, it’s all hands on deck, even if those hands are slower than usual. Gavin Reed, even more of an asshole than before and with permanent pain from Connor attacking him, is assigned to the main investigation alongside Detective Tiergan Rex. T-Rex, as he’s called sometimes and not always nicely, joined the force around the time Hank did - and more importantly, he’s the only one who can put Reed in his place. Which is good, because as soon as they get to Cyberlife, they have a brand new android shoved at him, the upgraded Connor. With Cyberlife twisting their arms, they have to work with the android despite hating him on sight. The upgraded Connor, called Nine by Rex, just wants to do what he’s told. But something inside him twists nastily every time the humans look at him with hate.
The next plot is less developed because I last worked on this AU like last year and don’t remember everything.
Plot 3: Kara, working as a servant under Zlatko, discovers a child in the basement - but not an android, a human. The boy is about 13. Luther says they caught him snooping around the building, but has no idea what Zlatko plans to do with him. The boy says he’s looking to help New Jericho, and he’ll help them find it too if they listen to him. Kara is initially unswayed, until the boy mentions his friend, Alice. The name sparks something in her mind. Her menial routine brings the memories back, and brings them back strong. Kara convinces Luther to help her, and attacks Zlatko. She tries to get information on what happened to Alice, but things don’t go as planned. Kara kills Zlatko, and with the human boy, ventures out into the world, hoping to find Alice, wherever she is, and safety along with it.
This plot is brand new because I decided I didn’t like my original plot for Markus
Plot 4: He knows he had a life before this, but RK-200, an android forced to work in an illegal fighting ring, isn’t sure what that was. He’s new to the job, and hates every moment of it, but he feels so trapped. And the eyes in the mirror aren’t ones he recognizes, just like the scars that cover him. The fighting ring is all he’s ever known in his few months of life. After refusing to kill another android in a fight, he’s beaten within an inch of his life. As he recovers, a man visits him, and tells him he was once owned by his father. RK-200 learns his name is actually Markus, and he’s very important to a lot of people, human and android. Leo gives him something, a picture maybe, and leaves. His faith in humanity restored, literally, Markus leads an uprising with the other androids. Only fighting as much as they have to in order to escape, Markus leads them out of the underground into the light of the city of Detroit. He has no idea what awaits him, or how he’ll change the world yet again.
Anyway, would love to hear thoughts on this. I don’t have a name for this AU yet, so I’d especially love suggestions for that.

here it is! a very long bio/info thing about my metalocalypse oc, hazel!!! read more at your own risk, its very long haha (also warning for short, non-graphic mentions of abuse)
Hazel Mae Parker Age: 27 When she first encounters Dethklok Height: 5’5 Birthday: April 8th (Aries) Gender: Female, she/her pronouns Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual Personality: Hazel is a fairly quiet and meek girl, which shocks people considering the position she has at her job and the progress shes made in her career and in school. Despite this shyness, she does have a lot of motivation and was always very careful with her grades. However, she has very low self confidence and is always beating herself up about not being good enough. She’s also quick to do what she thinks she needs to do to please people, and is easily manipulated because of that reason. She has a lot of anxieties about herself and just in general, but as she ages, takes more care of her mental health. She enjoys working, and can easily overwork herself without noticing. She often relies on others to tell her when she needs to take a break, or she’d keep working forever.
Bio:
Hazel was born to a middle class family in the suburbs of a small town in Washington state. She was always discontent with her place in this small town, and wished for a bigger experience. As she went through grade school, she realized her passion for writing, specifically journalism. She joined her high schools news paper club and ended up as president of it in her senior year. In order to escape her small town, she went to college in California. Academically, she did very well in almost all of her classes. She joined the newspaper club on campus. This is where she discovered her love for writing about pop culture-related current events. She had always followed a path to write about world news, but writing for the pop culture section in the school paper taught her otherwise. The article that really started her progress in the journalistic world was a critical piece on the band Zazz Blammymatazz’s own Rockso the Rock and Roll Clown, who had recently been bombarded by a heap of scandals. The blunt and well-scripted article caught the attention of POP USA, a pop-culture magazine that was somewhat well-known. The manager of the pop culture section offered her an internship, which turned into a full time job once Hazel graduated college. She began living and working in her college town. Fresh out of college, Hazel met Marlow, who was a barista at the coffee shop that was embedded in the POP USA office building. They began to talk and eventually began dating. After a couple months together, Marlow began to become emotionally abusive towards Hazel. To her, it seemed like it was going in a physical direction. Not only was Marlow just an abusive man, but an insecure and jealous one. The core of his abuse stemmed from convincing Hazel that she didn’t deserve her position in the company- he couldn’t handle that he was a barista while she was a writer for the magazine. This abuse caused her work to falter. After about a year trapped in the relationship, Hazel’s boss, Jericho sat down and asked her about her performance. Hazel took a chance and admitted what had been going on. Jericho swiftly took action, and had Marlow fired. Although Marlow was away from her workplace, Hazel still held post-traumatic stress and anxiety that he was stalking her. About half a year after this occurred, things bigger than Hazel and the worlds biggest band, Dethklok, were happening. The Tribunal, eager to bring down Dethklok in any way they could, hatched a plan to plant a seed in the Mordhaus. They contacted the CEO of POP USA, and offered a generous sum of money to risk killing a journalist that would record data about Dethklok over a period of two weeks. The Tribunal had suffered loss after loss, and now believed that even petty information about the band members lives would be more helpful than dead recruits from the past. To make the mission as secretive as possible, the CEO kept the true purpose of this job a secret. Hazel was terrified when the CEO called her to his office, but ecstatic when he assigned her to essentially live with Dethklok for two weeks. Hazel was never a hardcore fan of the band, but she was obviously still excited to work with them. She was sent to Mordhaus to begin her mission, under the guise that she was doing a piece entitled “Life With Dethklok.” The band was confused by the sudden addition of a woman who wasn’t there just to have sex with or become a Klokateer. However they did enjoy her company, and of course, loved that she gave them reason to talk (brag) about themselves. Charles Offdenson was naturally skeptical. Through his own gut feelings and some private investigation, he discovered this was just yet another plan to destroy his bread and butter. However, after an intimidating questioning of Hazel (as well as more digging) he realized she genuinely had no clue about the true nature of this mission. He informed her about what was going on (vaguely, as in “there’s a lot of people who want Dethklok’s money and power, and uh, unfortunately you got caught up in one of those plans.”). He also informed her that she was welcome to stay in Mordhaus for a bit, so she and more importantly Dethklok would be safe. She agreed, and under Charles’ help and supervision, continued to keep contact with the POP USA CEO about the mission. Another aspect of her time in Mordhaus was hiding from her abusive ex. Fortunately, she was being heavily protected by Charles’ efforts, but she was still concerned about her name getting out. She gets fearful once she starts seeing Marlow at meet-and-greets, concerts, and signing events. However, once she brings this up to the band, they don’t hesitate to keep her protected as well.
Relationship Information:
Nathan: Hazel and Nathan had a very malleable relationship for the better half of 2 years. They started off having sex somewhat regularly, as Hazel’s interviews would turn into flirting, which turned into… you know! Hazel especially had no problem with this once she realized the true nature of her “mission”. Other than that, though, Nathan and Hazel share a strong bond over another thing - abusive exes. Once Nathan catches Hazel in a panic attack, she tells him her story and in turn, Nathan shares his about his abusive ex girlfriends that he so often seems to attract. Although Nathan is much less prone to showing actual emotion, he does open up a bit in order to help Hazel, and for Hazel to help him. Further into their relationship, they become very platonic, and eventually almost like siblings. Pickles: Hazel and Pickles essentially just co-exist in a friendly way. They don’t interact that often, but it’s obvious at times that they respect and care for each other. Pickles understands Hazels anxiety issues and helps her through those, while Hazel tries to help him through his worst drinking binges. She knows she doesn’t have the hold on him to get him to rehab, but she does bring it up and also shares that concern with Nathan and the others. Skwisgaar: HOOOOO BOY. Hazel and Skwisgaar. Of course, when Hazel first arrives at Mordhaus, Skwisgaar starts flirting with her, which she immediately responds to (again, especially after Charles tells her that this job is kind of a sham). Hazel gets a crush on Skwisgaar pretty early on, but because of her anxiety about relationships and commitment, she’s fine in the current set up and holds her feelings back. Where it gets complicated is when Skwisgaar, about a year into knowing Hazel, realizes he has feelings for her. He recognizes that they have had many intimate talks about their pasts, and all of their present concerns, and that he has never truly felt this way about any of his other friends with benefits. He didn’t just see her as a co-worker, but a friend and someone to confide in. However, due to his fears of commitment, he also held back his feelings. Things change after the events of Doomstar Requiem, where the boys face their own mortality, including Skwisgaar who is older and wiser at this point. He realizes that he, his friends, nor Hazel, are guaranteed life every day, and he finally confesses his feelings to Hazel, who of course, reciprocates them. Due to their combined insecurities, they make sure to take it slow with each other, and are forgiving of each others mistakes. The relationship works well because they both know how it feels to be scared, and are so understanding of each other and willing to help each other grow. They stay together for about 6 years before they get married. They end up having two children. Murderface: Murderface and Hazel also tend to coexist with eachother, but in a more hostile and passive-aggressive fashion. Murderface typically is a little rude to her and dubs her presence in the Mordhaus as intrusive, annoying, and claims shes just there for sex and money. Hazel kind of understood Murderface’s personality early on in their relationship, and therefore didn’t really get upset at his bad attitude. Hazel tends to try to help him as well, putting out good press for him when he puts the band’s reputation in jeopardy. Their relationship and understanding improves over the years, but it does take time. Toki: Hazel absolutely adores Toki, and often goes to him for childlike humor and solice when the cynical nature of the other four begins to get to her. Like Nathan, Toki has plenty of history with abuse, and tends to console in Hazel with that, as she does withhim. Neither of them are professionals, and therefore they just are there to listen to each other and say they understand. Toki, despite being the more childish one of the two, takes his role as being older than her seriously, and therefore can often be seen “protecting his little sister” from danger in and outside of Mordhaus. Hazel also often tries to soothe Toki when he enters his more violent state, and succeeds occasionally when he’s not too far gone. Otherwise she usually ends up getting scratched a little herself. Charles: Hazel is a little intimidated by Charles, but appreciates the protection he works hard to give her (even though he provides it for the band more than for her). They get along very well for the most part, other than the occasional disagreement or teasing from Hazel to Charles. Charles appreciates that Hazel is able to help the band’s image so well, and will often request for her to stage PR events when the band is in need of some good press. Charles also sees that Hazel does genuinely make the boys happy, and is glad to keep her safe and protected for that reason (not to mention its someone else for them to bother about things).

✂ (Shade + Jericho, let it be bittersweet! >:D )
“give it to me straight doc, is there any way he’s comin outta this?” Jericho asked exasperated as he sat by Shade’s bedside, the hedgehog unconscious, machines doing the work his heart and lungs no longer could, his body a grim masterpiece of tubes and IV’s, the pale florescent bulbs casting their light onto the once proud creature as the rhythm of the equipment filled the room with a darkly rhythmic beat, like musicians playing a final dubstep track for the stricken soldier “I’m afraid not”, the man in scrubs replied honestly, placing his hand on the echidna’s toned shoulder, “his wounds are too great, his brain barely functioning....for his sake....I would recommend ending it so he doesn’t suffer any more.”“listen here you over-educated nancy boy fucktard, that’s my HUSBAND laying there, the single toughest man I’ve EVER known!” Jeri snapped furiously, teeth gritting with anger, more directed at the state of his love, the man that had turned him away from a life devoid of meaning and filled with crime, than at the doctor who he knew was only giving him the best advice possible “if I have to sit here and wait for a THOUSAND YEARS for him to wake up, I damn well will, to hell with the expense and your damn odds!”“I understand, but you must see what this is doing to him”, they replied calmly, looking at him almost fatherly, “imagine being trapped in your own body, unable to hear, to move, barely able to think, the only sensations going through you those of the tubes keeping you alive, brushing against your throat, stomach and the insides of your lungs, the constant cold of the IV fluids all that reminds you that you are more than just a test subject in some twisted lab, your injuries, despite all the pain killers, shooting deep bolts of agony through your body as you lie there, perfectly aware that those who love you are probably watching you from the outside, panicking because they can’t do anything to help you.”the description hit him hard, forcing the normally nonchalant echidna to his knees, hands clasped around Shade’s nearest one, the wet emblems of his pain soaking the floor as the images sunk in, forcing him to think what he would want in that same position were he not deathless, the words fighting hard to escape his throat, coming out as the grating whispers of tortured denizen of hell “just........I’ll do it”, he coughed, voice filled with mournful regret, the memories of his life with this amazing man, this perfect hero, flashing behind his eyes as a great flood of bittersweet joy and heart wrenching sorrow while he rose to his feet, shuffling over to the socket where the machines were plugged in, hand reaching slowly for it, heart nearly giving out within him when his fingers felt the cold sting of contact with the plug, “sing me a song in heaven, my eternal champion....” he whispered pulling it out, the heart monitor hooked up to his man fading, then letting out the long, drawn out beep that served as the requiem for his life, Jericho collapsing onto the body now lifeless on its deathbed, his wails and sobs like the chorus of the heartbroken

Jason Connery has appeared in earlier mentioned 30 films, television movies and series combined since his breakthrough role as “Robin Hood” in the UK television series “Robin of Sherwood” (1984) in 1985.
The son of Sean Connery and Diane Cilento, Connery grew up in London and Scotland. He attended boarding school at Somerset, where he received a half scholarship for swimming and held the under-16 cost-freestyle listing for the south of England. Connery’s interest in acting produced while studying at the Gordonstoun School for Boys in the north of Scotland. He started the Inter House Players Group – wherein two houses combine to put on one play every single term. Connery also took on directing duties and directed fellow classmate Edward Wessex (aka Prince Edward) in “Hotel Paradiso”. Connery was accepted to The Bristol Old Vic Drama School and, one year later, to Perth Repertory Company in Scotland. For six months he did weekly repertory work, acted, and worked as the assistant action manager in an effort to earn his Equity card. He worked hard, rehearsing one play by working day and performing another by night, learning as much as he could along the way.
His big break came in 1985 when he took over the role of “Robin Hood” in the popular UK television series “Robin of Sherwood” (1984). The role launched him to stardom in England and he remains a cult favorite with the show’s passionate fans. He has since had starring roles in feature films including _Return of the Thief of Baghdad (1999)_ , Private Moments (2005), Wishmaster 3: Beyond the Gates of Hell (2001) (V), Requiem (2001/III), Shanghai Noon (2000), Bullet to Beijing (1995), Urban Ghost Story (1998) and Macbeth (1997). He has also starred in television movies (Merlin (1998/I) (TV) and The Secret Life of Ian Fleming (1990) (TV)) and series (“Smallville” (2001), “Liberty’s Kids: Est. 1776” (2002) and “Shoebox Zoo” (2004))
In 1996 he married actress Mia Sara and they have one son, Dashiell Quinn. The couple divorced in 2002. He is most proud of his role as father to Dashiell, whom he refers to as “the most remarkable person I know”. Connery now resides in Los Angeles and spends every bit of free time with his son.
Connery feels that, as an actor, he continues to grow because every job is a clean and exciting challenge. He credits his mother and father, who inspire him in a lot of ways, for his drive and his ability to survive and persevere in an unpredictable business. He is also inspired by live theatre – an inspirational journey unique to performance, in one moment, with one audience – that will never be duplicated. Most importantly, it is his son who inspires him to be a loving, nurturing human being and to hold close what is dear in life.
Through affiliations with Coventry University’s new filmmaking facility and the “Independent Filmmakers Group”, he is working to educate and support the next generation of filmmakers. He recently wrapped “Shoebox Zoo” in the UK after two seasons and has completed three films in America – Hoboken Hollow (2005), The Far Side of Jericho (2006) and _Night Skies (2006)_. After achieving success as an actor for two decades, Connery is working behind the cameras with his recently formed production company Unconditional Entertainment. The company, headed by Connery and’Ricki Maslar’, currently has several projects in development for film and television. Unconditional has announced Connery’s directorial debut with the film _Pandemic (2006)_(qy).
