I can't believe that Ben actually manifested some minor frustration/disagreement between Sadam. This silly lil guy is too powerful he's gonna make them fall in a well never to be found amidst his victory parade Again!

Theory update time!

s12e7 spoilers:

So... currently the theory checks out. (Also yay Ben won!)

I don't think this suggests the show is scripted or anything like that. Rather, I think it highlights a shared pattern in how the strategy evolves in 3 player games, and which strategies are most conducive to each person's play style.

Like, Adam is really good at thinking on his feet during the first game while Ben and Sam haven't 100% internalized the rules/strategy.

Ben is in the middle. Even if he tells the camera "cardinal directions and vibes," by the second game, he has a great deal of location/strategy knowledge from being one of the game designers. This knowledge feeds his intuition.

At the other extreme, if you give Sam lots of time to strategize (and good card pulls), he will solve his way to victory.

Again... still just a theory. I feel like we'd need to confirm it with at least a couple new 3 player games before we can actually conclude anything. Especially given the luck component of the games.

So yk how Adam won the first season of tag, Ben won the second, and Sam won the third.

I think this might be a pattern, because it's starting to show up in hide and seek, the other 3 player game.

Adam won the first season. So far, it looks like Ben's gonna win the second...

Idk what this would mean if it actually isn't just coincidence, but its interesting.

oh wow thank you to all the jltg fans who commented with season recs!! i think i'll watch one of the tag seasons instead of s12 since everyone recs them as beginner-friendly!

hmm. after i watch the season finale of jet lag the game s13 (when it comes out on youtube) i'm gonna go back and watch some of the earlier seasons. i've heard good things about s5 (new zealand w toby) and s12 (hide and seek japan) so i'm gonna give those a shot

editing for adam's card pull at 33 minutes said 3 5 minute bonuses again but you can see its a 10 minute bonus in the middle!!!
