“c’mon q, it’ll be fun.”

“you did so good yesterday, you deserve this baby.” for the past half hour, you’d been trying to convince him to go to the beach after the previous day’s game, that included him playing his best and getting a goal. quinn looks up from his phone a small smile splayed across his face. “fine, but only an hour okay?”

“okay lets go get changed.” you nod eagerly, a bright smile on your face, as you place your lips on his giving him a sweet kiss. grabbing his hand you pull him towards the bedroom to gather the things you would be needing.

“are you ready q?” you ask when you notice his eyes trained on you. when he doesn’t respond you ask again. “baby? you there?” his soft eyes widened and his mouth drops open. “mhm yeah sorry, jus’ admiring how cute you look right now.” he hums. “lets go?” he questioned.

while quinns driving you sit in the passenger seat watching him look so intensely at the road in front of him, a hand on your thigh and the other on the wheel. “quinn?” he glances your way for a moment and hums. “i love you.”

“i love you more bug.”

the moment that quinn puts the car in park you’re rushing out onto the sand. turning around you call out to the man, “quinn! hurry up!” he shakes his head with a laugh, eyes sparkling with joy. “coming bug, gotta get your bag.”

as you’re about to walk into the water, quinn stops you, wrapping his hands around your waist, turning your body. for a moment he just stands in front of you and admires how the moonlight shines on your face. “thank you, i love you bug.” he says as he stares in your eyes.

You grab ahold of his hand and pull him out into the snowy, frigid weather. Wrapping his arms around your waist he pulls you close and spins you both around in the middle of the snow covered sidewalk.

He watches as your head tilts back in laughter, he sees flakes of snow fall straight into your face and hopes this was a moment he could remember forever.

He wants to revel in this, wishing that he could keep this memory tucked away in his pocket to look back on when he has rough days. Both you and Wade come to a slow swaying motion back and forth, without hesitation you bring your lips to his in a soft kiss.

“are you ready baby?” joel asks a grin gracing his lips, squeezing your hand and glancing your way before moving his eyes back to the road in front of him. “we’re almost there y’know?” he adjusts himself in his seat. when you’d gotten the acceptance letter to the university of pennsylvania joel was the first one you told, just after your parents. he’d offered to drive you and help unpack as soon as you told him.

“i know,” you nod “i’m nervous, but i’m excited. happy that i get to be closer to you now.” you say, lifting his hand from your lap to press a kiss to it causing his smile to widen. “me too baby. now lets go get you settled in hm?” you’d been so caught up in the conversation with him you hadn’t realized he parked the car in front of the college.

“hey babe, where did you want this?” joel asks walking back into your room, holding the last of your things. looking up from the box you were unpacking you point at the empty space beside your desk. “theres fine j.”

he sits the box down and walks up behind you, wrapping his arms around you gently. placing his head in the crook of your neck he begins littering soft kisses along your skin. turning to face him you cup his face in your hands. “you better come visit me. we’ve spent too much apart” you whisper. “i’ll be here as much as i can baby.” he promised with a soft kiss to your cheek.
