'Apples as architecture' is one of the most abstract paintings. The reoccurring theme of mountains appears on the paintings, but it is incorporated into a new context. Instead bulky, round shapes representing obstacles we are presented with a bright force from the sky. Or maybe it's just magical apples? 'Water in the corridor' - similarly to Dorothea Tanning, John Kørner explores the escapist idea of the door to a better life. Also, it is quite cute that the artist calls his quite metaphorically paintings with very simple and realistic terms. Day 3 is all about the beautiful artworks of John Kørner exhibited at Victoria Miro until 23rd of March. The Danish painter has created a collection of paintings, which refers to modern constrains of an ordinary human. His artworks strongly refer to the theme of sport, through which society pressure and the need to get away are shown.
