I thought the reason behind Justitia possessing Kang Bit Na she was going to be like "I can't save you because I'm a demon but I can get you revenge" or something but no she just fucked up at work and is really salty about the situation

kang bit-na the woman/demon that you are
she really stabbed and killed da-on with no hesitation, got chewed out by her boss for killing an innocent man, and then made da-on's entire team think he's into bdsm when he cuffed her and took her back to the station
we love a failgirl girlboss

honestly; the scene on the bridge with daon crying was so brilliant. the fact that you could see the years fall away from daon's face: leaving nothing behind but a vulnerable child pleading with the mute appeal of his eyes; saying: "believe me, believe me."  and bitna/justitia does. with effortless confidence and clarity she states that she would believe anything that daon might have said when he was a child: because children do not lie about the things that happen to them. how cruel and beautiful is it that it takes a demon to see a truth that an entire precinct of humans could not? someone who can see your inner child is rare — someone who can soothe the manifold memories of hurt in your past; take your trauma and say: "i see you, and you are still whole to me." you can tell how much it means to daon — how much relief there can exist in a shed tear.  bitna/justitia may be a demon — but daon looks at her like she's holy. and you can see the answering shock in her gaze — the shimmering realization that this unassuming human might actually mean something to her. might already be hers to claim.

I love the OST so far, Boomerang and Crossroad are playing in my head nonstop.
I can imagine Kang Bitna ending the murderer's trial with some stabs when I listen to Boomerang. It gives a vibe of triumph and it's so badass.
Crossroad is so beautiful and sad, it reminds me of Aching by Kassy which is my favourite song from any kdrama ever. I can also see a lot of parallels between The Judge from Hell and Alchemy of Souls

The Judge from Hell clicks exceptionally well with so many people imo is because (in addition to many other things) Bitna-Daon as characters are very well written on paper and wonderfully executed by Shinhye and Jaeyeong. Come to think of it--they're alphas in their own ways: Bitna is not your typical caricature of "strong female lead" unlike many other shows I've seen; it's actually very surprising and refreshing to see a show not overexaggerating and getting it right for a change. And Han Daon isn't portrayed as a lesser, weaker male lead in order to make Bitna look better. There's always such a healthy balance: they match each other's freaks in intriguing ways when together and are able to shine equally in their solo spaces as well. I don't use the word "power couple" a lot but they're exactly that. It's hard to believe we've been so lucky with such an amazing show this year.

One of the funniest things in the judge from hell is how the bodies do not respawn or get taken to hell or anything. They have crime scene clean up technology that can rebuild walls and get rid of blood easy as pie, but demons uniformly just leave corpses for the police to deal with

If Han Da On can accept his wife being a demon then why do men in real life try to change the women they get with? Han DaOn saw his wife kill a man and he just wiped her cheek. Why can’t real men do this??

the fact that daon dropped everything to save justitia/bitna when he thought she was in danger.
the fact that justitia/bitna's worst nightmare isn't losing her powers or never going back to hell or literally anything else in the world — but that it's daon turning on her: the sheer anguish in her eyes when she saw dream!daon pull a knife on her.
the fact that only daon's voice was able to draw her out of her darkest moment. that he tried to take a mortal blow meant for her; knowing it might kill him.
the fact that justitia/bitna is finally growing warm enough to fall in love with daon. the fact that daon is growing cold enough to fall in love with her. the borders between dark and light; demon and human; good and bad — giving way as their bodies meet in an embrace tight enough to touch an unbreakable bond.
