“Sorry I didn’t give this to you when you first moved in. I was a bit holed up and the girls don’t notice new neighbors right away.” He made his way in and set the pan down kitchen counter. The cherry decorated potholders still beneath them both sides. New person. Time to be nice and personable. Sociable.

              maybe he was being a bit cruel. it was mostly fun and games for him to be teasing laurence, something he did just to keep gaining reactions from the man, but over time the other started to get frustrated. it was obvious in the way the reactions would come out more clipped instead of scattered as they once were. the thought of laurence eventually growing tired of the constant teasing was one that worried him some, so he decided to ask the man out to get some coffee with him when he was free.

               it started out well because they were able to scrape together something close to a conversation. but as the ideas left them, the silence became awkward. lucius knew he had to break the tension so he decided to give it a shot. leaning over the table, he stole a firm, quick kiss, from the other’s lips before sitting back down, his fingers running along the top of the coffee mug. ❝ i hope that was alright. ❞
