Woo Seo-Ri (Shin Hye-Sun), yetenekli bir kemanisttir. Öğrenciyken yurtdışında bir okuldan davet alır. Ancak okula gidemeden 17 yaşında trafik kazası geçirir. 13 yıl boyunca komada kalan kızımız 30 yaşında komadan uyanır. İlk bölümler çok eğlenceli başlangıç yapan dizi bence ilerleyen bölümlerde bu eğlenceyi koruyamadı. Yıllar sonra uyanan karakterimiz, üzerinde hastane kıyafeti ile doktorlardan kaçıp yaşadığı eve gider. Evi olarak düşündüğü yerde başkalarının yaşadığını öğrenir. Eski evinin yeni sahibinin yeğeni Yoo Chan(Ahn Hyo-Seop) ilk tanıştığı kişi olur. Bu karakterin Ahn Hyo-Seop olduğunu o kadar uzun süre izledikten sonra fark ettim ki kendime inanamadım. Onu öyle büyük büyük rollerde izlemişim ki liseli öğrenci olarak görünce afalladım. Ev sahibinin küçük oğlu ve Yoo Chan’ın amcası Gong Woo-Jin(Yang Se-Jong) ise takıntıları olan her şeyi sürekli ölçerek yaşayan yalnız ve garip bir tiptir.

Dizi boyunca bol bol gördüğümüz Yoo Chan’ın liseden arkadaşları ise ; Han Deok-Soo(Jo Hyun-Sik) ve Dong Hae-Beom(Lee Do-Hyun)’dur. Lee Do-Hyun’u burada görmek de ayrıca bir değişikti. Neyse oldu bittici bir senaryo ile kızımız eski evine geliyor, ben burada yaşıyordum şimdi gidecek yerim yok vs diye bir şekilde ev halkını ikna ediyor. İş bulup para kazanıp evden gidene kadar merdiven altındaki küçük odacıkta kalmasına izin veriyorlar. Bir de ebeveynleri bu iki genç adama göz kulak olsun diye bir hizmetli gönderiyorlar; Jennifer(Ye Ji-Won). Dizinin en güzel karakteriydi. Dizinin ruhuydu diyebilirim.

Ruh demişken, dizi o kadar mantıksızlarla doluydu ki, izlerken trt1 dizilerini andırdı bana. Sit-com havasında her gün çekilen diziler var ya, işte onlar gibi. Örnek verecek olursam, 13 yıl komada kalmış bir kız hastaneden elini kolunu sallayarak çıkıyor gidiyor. Kızın biri evine gelip bura benimdi önceden ben burada kalsam olur mu diyor. Amcası yengesi ortada yok. Anası babası zaten yokmuş, amcası yengesi ile yaşıyormuş. Bir Allah’ın kulu da çıkıp demiyor ki “sen niye komadaydın. N’oldu sana kuzum?” zaten komada olduğunu da kerpetenle aldık ağzından.

Bir gizem, sırlar dizide alıyor başını gidiyor. Kız komadayken herkes bırakmış gitmiş. Hastane masrafları da gizemli biri tarafından ödeniyormuş. Ay bir gizem bir gizem. Bitmek bilmedi gizemler. Bu gizemlerinde ortaya çıkması o kadar uzun sürüyor ki, artık diziden bir süre sonra kopuyorsunuz. Üstelik öğrenmenizin bu kadar uzun sürdüğü gizemler fos çıkabiliyor. Yenge para lazım diye evi satmış, okey. Ee harcamamış parayı. Amacın ne senin, neyin kafası bu. Kızı hastanede terk etmişler, ama evin parasını harcamaya elleri gitmemiş. Ya bacım bi yürü git.

Yang Se-Jong baş rol erkeğimiz. Dr. Romantic dizisinden tanıdığımız oraların 2. Erkeği buraların ana karakteri olmuş. Bence olmuş. Başrolde sırıtmamış. Shin Hye-Sun kimle olursa olsun başarılı bir oyuncu zaten ama ikili güzel olmuşlardı. Angel’s Last Mission: Love dizisinde başrolleri Kim Myung-Soo ile paylaşıyordu. Ona göre Yang Se-Jong biraz daha ağırlığı olan bir oyuncu olsa da ikisinde de aynı havayı almanız mümkün. Shin Hye-Sun ikisiyle de güzeldi.

Diziye dönersek, devam eden bir konusu olduğunu düşünmüyorum. Bir durum anlatıyor ama bu durumun ne çıkışı ne girişi var. Olması gereken endişelerin hiçbirini yaşamıyorlar. Bir kız var, 13 yılı kayıp. Parası yok, akrabası yok, herhangi bir gelecek planı yok. Bu kadar fütursuzca ancak bir dizide yaşanabilir. Her şey çok tiyatrovariydi.

Günün sonunda izlemesi keyifli, bomboş bir dizi. Mutsuz bitmeyeceğine emin olduğunuz durum dizisi. Kafa dağıtmak için izlenebilir.

DNA Lover

I have mixed feelings about this series. It was entertaining and it has a good cast but I think that the most of the female characters kind of annoyed me. Han So Jin is not a character I could connect with. She is too self-centered and discarded Yeon Woo without a blink of an eye when she learned he wasn't her DNA lover. He had been there for her in the hardest moments, but she decided not to be there for him in his worst. She showed up at the last minute and I don't know what she expected, really. Her roommate was opinionated and spoke without any proof and her interpretations were always way off from the truth. Jang Min and Myung Hee were awful mothers to their children.

Jung Tam was also a character that annoyed me at times. The only characters I liked were Yeon Woo and Kang Hoon. I guess the story wouldn't have been so bad if it were for the whole obsession with DNA.

It's was okay. It entertained but it's not a series I would watch again.

bin momentan sehr angetan von der idee dass man nie inspektor cottas richtigen vornamen herausfindet. ich stell mir das nämlich vor wie so nen richtig dämlichen gag; einmal stellt er sich jemand anderem in gegenwart von justus peter und bob vor und gerade als er seinen vornamen sagt fliegt ein düsenjet vorbei und es geht in dem lärm unter. das namensschild an seiner tür hat seit jahren einen schmutzfleck an der genau richtigen Stelle sodass man nur inspektor d̴̙͚͝k̵̢̯͕̽̾x̶̝͍͊͌k̶̥͔̔͂̿k̶̘̆̎̄s̷͉̻̯̿̂͗ cotta entziffern kann. im telefonbuch steht er nicht weil polizeischutz und so und später findet man auch nichts wenn man seinen nachnamen googled. nachdem er in rente geht besuchen die drei ihn zuhause und als sie ihn mit "hallo inspektor cotta!" begrüßen, lacht er und sagt "ich bin doch jetzt im ruhestand, jungs! nennt mich einfach -" aber da explodiert irgendwas draußen vor dem fenster und die drei fragezeichen haben damit plötzlich einen neuen fall und das thema kommt nie wieder auf. die drei versuchen seit jahren krampfhaft zu verbergen dass sie keine ahnung haben wie er heißt weil sie ihn definitiv zu lange kennen sodass es nicht unglaublich peinlich wäre. auf seiner glückwunschkarte zum geburtstag schreiben sie "lieber lieblingsinspektor, ..." (es ist nicht gelogen aber trotzdem fühlen sie sich ein bisschen schlecht); mittlerweile haben sie eine jahrelange wette am laufen wie er wirklich heißt. in der zentrale am pinbrett hängt eine liste mit über 60 namensideen die sie über die jahre gesammelt haben und sie wird noch immer länger. peter setzt 120 dollar auf "eugene".

Carl Gustav Jung fue un médico psiquiatra, psicólogo y ensayista suizo, figura clave en la etapa inicial del psicoanálisis. Fue fundador de la psicología analítica. Fue colaborador de Sigmund Freud en sus inicios y pionero de la psicología profunda, terapia e investigación que tenían como enfoque al inconsciente.

Jung incorporó a su metodología, nociones procedentes de la antropología, la alquimia, la interpretación de los sueños, el arte la mitología, la religión y la filosofía.

Nació en Suiza en julio de 1875 en el seno de una familia de ascendencia alemana y su padre era un pastor luterano. Ambos padres pertenecieron a dos importantes familias de la Basilea del siglo XIX.

De niño fue introvertido y muy solitario, aunque cercano a sus padres, y durante su juventud fue un lector entusiasta especialmente cautivado por la obra literaria de Goethe e interesado en filósofos como Von Hartmann y Nietzsche. En su autobiografía describe el acercamiento a la obra de Nietzche “Así habló Zaratustra” que describiría como una experiencia conmocionante, solo comparable a la inspirada por el Fausto de Goethe.

En 1900 ocupó un puesto como ayudante en la clínica psiquiátrica de Burghölzli y tres años mas tarde marchó a Zurich en donde llegaría a ser medico jefe de la clínica psiquiátrica de la Universidad de Zurich durante cuatro años, y en 1905, obtendría su doctorado en psiquiatría.

Jung creía que la naturaleza del inconsciente de Freud estaba incompleto, y sostenía que la psique de cada individuo habita una especia de inconsciente colectivo o memoria colectiva, algo que no pertenece a un solo individuo, y afirmaba que dentro de esta memoria colectiva habitan símbolos y elementos de significación recurrentes propios de las culturas en las que vivimos, y que se transmiten a lo largo de generaciones.

Derivado de lo anterior, para Jung una parte importante de lo inconsciente está compuesta por los recuerdos heredados, la materia prima de la cultura, y estos recuerdos se expresan a través de lo que Jung denominó Arquetipos.

A través de los arquetipos que en griego original se traduciría como “molde original”, podemos comprender los mecanismos inconscientes mediante los cuales comprendemos y organizamos nuestra realidad hoy en dia. Los arquetipos sirven según Jung para describir la ortografía de naturaleza cultural sobre las que se fundamentan nuestras experiencias individuales.

Do you think they completely removed book Louis and Claudia incestuous relationship from the TV show, or is it something Louis decided to not talk about with Daniel? I assume it would be something one sided from Claudia that Louis would be in denial about.

I am wondering here if, from Lestat’s point of view, Louis and Claudias relationship will have these complex layers. That would explain his fear of seeing Claudia as sexual competition. Of course the fear could be due to Lestats own history with Gabrielle, but I wonder if there is some truth behind it as well.

I mean, I'd argue that they actually are pretty emotionally incestuous on the show, and I do think the show plays around with Jung's Electra Complex, which I talked about a tiny bit here. A quick description of it:

The Electra complex is a stage in Freudian psychosexual development in which a female child unconsciously desires her father and experiences a desire to eliminate her mother. It is the female version of the more famous Oedipus complex. Jung, the first to use the term, chose to follow Freud’s model in taking the name of the complex from Greek mythology. Electra is a bereaved daughter who pushes her brother Orestes to kill their mother and her lover and thus avenge the murder of their father. Feminist psychologists viewed the Electra complex as sexist, although some modified the Freudian view. As Freud’s influence waned, the Electra complex became less important in psychology, although it continued to be employed by literary critics. Twentieth-century playwrights and poets, perhaps most notably Eugene O’Neill and Sylvia Plath, found the idea useful in writing about family relationships.

You can even apply it pretty literally in the show in that Claudia pushes her brother, Louis, to kill their mother/maker, Lestat, to avenge the murder of her father, also Louis [avenging not just for the drop itself, but in a lot of ways, the drop is a part of what shifts her dynamic with Louis and kills him as her father, as she has to care for him in his recovery]. Of course, the reality is a lot more complex than Claudia wanting to kill Lestat and have Louis ultimately choose her as companion, but it's an interesting parallel to consider, and one I do read in the show's depiction of this chain of events.

But yes! I tend to read the show flirting a lot more with the perversion of the family unit - a staple of Gothicism - with Louis' family even before Claudia than the books ever did. Louis' relationship with Florence is a lot more complicated than people give it credit for, because him having to step up after his father's death makes him not just her son, but her guardian and in other ways her spouse. Louis manages the family business, while Florence manages the household in a pretty traditionally gendered dynamic, but they actually kind of co-parent Grace and Paul. Louis' both their brother and their father - he's prepaing to give Grace away at her wedding, and takes the lead on guardianship with Paul (and I tend to even read Florence's anger at Louis after Paul's death as being more spousal, than mother-son, especially when you consider the fact that her husband is the one who institutionalised Paul, taking him away from her the first time, and she had to wait until his death and Louis to step in as patriarch to get him out).

This dynamic is made even more complex by the fact that you can draw a pretty clear line between Louis' desire for a child being tied up in Grace starting her own family, and (what I think is more perceived on Louis' part initially than anything) as this transition away from him. There's also a degree to me of Grace transitioning from the Madonna to the Mother to him, but that feels like a whole other thing, haha. The point is that he ultimately replaces her with Claudia, who's both daughter and sister, only to literally cast Grace in the role as her mother to his father in Europe (something we do not talk about enough!) which is - - yeah. A pretty classical gothic depiction of the family unit perverted and a thread of unconsumated incest.

As for going forwards, I do think it'll be expanded upon, yeah! Claudia did literally ask which one of them was going to fuck her in s1, so that seed of truth is in many ways already planted, and like I said, I think the show's already flirting with this idea of the Electra Complex, and that from Lestat's perspective, he's probably going to feel that more sharply than Louis ever did as the outsider parent to Louis' insider parent. The fact that Lestat does have that degree of intimacy and enmeshment with his mother too will probably colour his behaviour, as will the fact that Claudia and Louis do echo Nicki and Gabrielle in becoming his 'silent children' by using the mind link so much which cuts him off from them. Given the way that Armand weaponises that in the book in trying to seduce Lestat to him, I really do think that'll be a pretty significant factor, not just in the 1800s flashbacks, but likely the 1940s ones, given Lestat's inability to communicate with them telepathically is a part of what makes Claudia's death inevitable.

I don't think the show's necessarily going to be explicit about it, nor that they'll have Claudia genuinely wanting to have sex with Louis, but I do think there'll be some really unhealthy boundaries and a bit of commentary on how isolated and insular they were as a family, and how that compounded dynamics and, again, perverts that family unit. I kind of can't wait to see what they do with it, haha.
