8: what part of caught up in circles is your favorite?

i really loved writing in oscar's voice for caught up in circles, so i particularly enjoyed writing the initial part and getting to explore how osc would have acted in the early stages of the time loop !! however for reader and oscar's relationship i think my favorite part was their yacht day . that's the real turning point in their relationship to me and it was very fun to write how they pushed each other in their own ways - reader making oscar more adventurous (diving off the boat) and oscar making reader slow down enough to consider what she really wants !

oh my gods. uzi doorman deserved so much fucking better.

the poor kid (she's older than me i shouldn't be allowed to say that) had her mom die when she was just a little kid, and then her dad neglected her for most of her life. khan obsessed over doors instead of his daughter who is really the only surviving part of his wife! the only time he starts actually paying attention to uzi is when she's doing dangerous stuff that could get her killed, which, yeah at least khan's FINALLY paying attention to her, but it would've done a ton more if he hadn't stayed distant.

oopsie i'm ranting about the wrong thing~

ANYWAY

uzi didn't have any actual friends until she met her crush best friend who tried to kill her when they first met which is like. poor kid. she didn't deserve that. and as soon as she meets him her life goes even more downhill than it did before. i'm definitely not saying it's N's fault – it would've happened anyway – but uzi finally gets something good in her life and the good is almost immediately drowned out by the stuff that happens afterward.

i can't really say anything else without spoiling stuff for you bc i want you to watch murder drones but RAHHH UZI DESERVED BETTER

i was wondering how on earth you got into the demos files, and got the chance voice lines!! i want them so bad so i can listen to him without playing the game on repeat. it would be so great if you could explain how you got them!! :D

sure!

first, you click on “browse local files” on the steam page for the demo

once you are in the files, click on “DateEverything_Data”, next “StreamingAssets”, then “aa”, and finally “StandaloneWindows64”

Once you do all that, seach up “chance”. You will see “demo_reactions_chance_texture_assets_all.bundle” and “demo_dialouge_chance_audio_assets_all.bundle”. The reactions are all of Chance’s sprites and the dialouge is Chance’s dialouge!

After that, you will need to download an AssetRipper. I used this one!

Open up the asset ripper, and choose to rip the files of “demo_dialouge_chance_audio_assets_all.bundle”. Once it is finished, click on “View Loaded Files” to make sure all of the files are accounted for! They will be out of order, but there is a simple fix for this!!

Click on the Export Files tab at the top of the AssetRipper page. Also, make sure you have a new EMPTY folder (it must be an empty folder or exporting the files will delete all of the old files)!! Once you have your folder selected, click on “Export Primary Content”. Then, you will have all of Chance’s voicelines in the form of an OGG file on your computer that you can organize in order!

I hope this helps and you too can dig throug Chance’s voicelines :3

How do you think zoro would act when he's jealous?

zoro doesn’t get jealous easily. he’s comfortable in his masculinity and is self-assured when it comes to how the world views him. it’s not necessarily that he knows he’s hot; he simply doesn’t care (appearances mean little to him). all that matters is you and your bond—loyalty above all else. and he trusts you with his whole being, his whole heart. it took so long for him to open up to you that the trust between you is implicit and unshakeable.

however, there are moments—perhaps when he has had a swig of sake too many and you look so fucking stunning that some men eye you like predators—when he gets protective. because he isn’t envious; what is there to be yearn for when he’s yours and you’re his? no: he simply perks up, calloused hand dropping down to rest on the hilts of his swords. he’s discreet because he doesn’t want to upset you or make a scene (although he will make a scene if push comes to shove). his resting bitch face comes in handy because he can glare honed daggers at whoever is overstepping their bounds. zoro waits, intimidation radiating from his body in waves. he knows you can and will stand up for yourself. but he has your back, always.

HYBRIDS! my other favorite topic to discuss, heheh……..

from most to least cooperative, i would say it goes something like:

laios - a puppy boy (a dog hybrid though i can’t decide which breed!) and fairly trainable

yuuji - while a fickle tiger hybrid, he is eager to please, and tries his best to listen to me

kabru - surprisingly easy to train for a cat (again i can’t decide on the breed!) and is very much a people pleaser

zoro - while this tiger hybrid doesn’t like to follow anyone’s rules but his own, he loves me a lot, so he sometimes indulges my whims

childe - a fox hybrid who listens to no one—especially me—and i want to kill him for it <3

🦋what are you most insecure about when you post a fic?

Usually it's less of an overt insecurity and more of a weird "I've been writing this too long and lost the ability to see it objectively and can no longer stand to look at it" adrenaline crash, so it's mostly a very general "Will people even like it?!" (sounds insane for me to question, all-considered) with a side of "Will it communicate what I wanted it to?" (less insane but also so far the answer's p much always been "yes, obviously").

🎉how often do you celebrate completing & posting a work? how often do you give yourself the credit/validation that you seek from others when you post? (if you don't, you should!)

Another confession that hopefully doesn't make me sound like a total asshole: I fully think that I am hot shit, HAHA, so despite what I just wrote above I generally spend most of my time like, "Yes, it's good because I made it good on purpose because I like and care about it!" hahaha. The ego contains multitudes, I guess, and I've gotten pretty alright at validating myself rather than looking for validation from others in this respect! Getting older helps.

I used to celebrate completing and posting a work more often, but less so over time, which is less because I think they're celebration-worthy and more because I write and post too fucking much at the moment for that to be reasonable. But finishing a multi-chapter fic or a series is always really fun!
