note: just a lil sneak peek of what i'm working behind the scenes cos i'm afraid im gonna be a behind posting for AUgust cos 'm still sick. (i feel like my head's going to burst into tiny little pieces inside my skull as im typing this) had mighty fun editing this too!!!!!!!!!

nothing's set in stone though, so this bit i'm posting might be erased or reworked. dunno yet. gonna think about it when i feel like nobody's drilling a hole in my brain

When Elena was summoned to her mother’s office, she was expecting a mighty earful of her past acquaintances, though Finn had taken to calling them exploits her adviser was sworn to secrecy, but her buddies? Not so much. So far, they have demanded charges accompanied by several videos and images as proof of her indiscretions. Mother had long since equipped herself to the task of straightening her by setting up multiple arrangements across the country just to find the perfect spouse, or in the unbendable rule of patriarchy, a man—because god forbid a princess can’t marry another princess—to get her back on track with her duties.

“Yes.” Then why is she so pissed this time?

Finn shakes his head from behind the Queen. Ah, right. She shouldn’t be making mistakes right now. It hasn’t been long since the Lexi incident. 

“Don’t worry, Queen Mother. I’ll go—”

“No you will not!” The force of her yell could have metaphorically blown her away. “This is a joke! You, the future Queen of the Nation marrying a commoner?!”

Once again, Finn shakes his head from behind her mother.

Don’t anger her. 

Riiiiiiight.

“Oh” Elijah says as his eyes widen slightly, and in an instant flit over her stomach, “it appears congratulations are in order.” Of course he can hear the extra heartbeat coming from her uterus. “May I ask who the father is?” He sounds a little strained and part of her enjoys the way his lips purse and eyes harden at the thought of her with someone else.

“You are.” He opens his mouth to say something but makes no sound. Well, at least she finally caught him off guard.

you were a deer in the night sent to fetch me (preview)

graphic by me. nothing too spectacular. still thinking if i should finish this piece or edit a gif instead. who knows.

i know i promised not to entertain another wip AFTER tonight i can write (the saddest lines) cos i needed to finish updating my existing fics first but i couldn't help myself. i needed to write this first so here is my next wip which will probably be finished after a few weeks inspired by red riding hood - so not going into specifics, but here's a lil snippet. enjoy.

The local farmers, bakers, craftsmen, and blacksmiths bustled about in the early morning. Peasants and serfs traded and sold their goods while others bought whatever they can with little money they were given.

A young man swept across the gravel path, a golden cloak sat high upon his broad shoulders garnering the attention of all present in the market. They did not tremble in the presence of the nobleman. Kol Mikaelson often visited the market in search of his dear friend.

“Little Red Riding Hood!” He called out, cupping his mouth to better increase the volume of his voice. A knight trailed behind him, on the lookout for a red hood in the crowd. Kol tried once more, “Red Riding Hood! Elena! I know you’re here, darling! Come out, come out wherever you are!”

An aggrieved tone growled to his left, “Do shut up, Kol.”

He smirked, catching the ball of her shoulder to steer her away from the noise. “What crawled in your cot and died, dear?”

The disgruntled young woman draped in a hood the color of blood shook off his arm, “You should know.”

“Know what?” He batted his eyelashes innocently.

Elena narrowed her eyes, a long tirade breaching the tip of her tongue when the tavern door swung open accidentally hitting the side of Kol’s face. The knight, the girl, and the traveller witnessed as the young man’s face plunged directly into horse manure.
