The Kagamines were designed as twin siblings, but by the time of their release Crypton Future Media officially decided that they are not canonically siblings, despite them having identical appearances and surnames. This means that technically, the first Vocaloid characters to be canonically twin siblings are actually anon and kanon, not Rin and Len.

anon and kanon are japanese synths developed by Yamaha, and released in 2014. their vps have not been officially revealed but according to twt user aman0_kei theyre twins nagayama asuka and kyoka of asukyo. anon and kanons Illustrator is hakuri. they are available for Vocaloid 3 and Vocaloid neo. they are identical twins and are 18yo. anon is the younger twin, kanon is the older one. both their favo(u)rite foods are bread. anon has a weakness in faster tempo songs. kanon has a weakness in slower tempo songs.

Wakou Minori is a japanese synth developed by Nihon Kogakuin Technical College in collaboration with AI, Inc, and released in 2023. she is voiced by Mikaeru, a student at the collage, and illustrated by Kato, another student.
