it’s not discussed enough how keith richards literally wrote ruby tuesday as a parting love letter about how wrong he was to try and clip someone’s wings, that he can’t control how people grow together or apart. but it’s all rooted in fault, his fault. not her fault for being a woman who has felt stung with the pain of being held back, his fault for holding her back. to write that when women were being treated so badly through media.. to just release a song that allows a woman to exist as a person and not as an object, to release a song where a woman isn’t the villain for a broken heart! for a 23 year old man to write that, for any man to have that kind of understanding of any sort of emotion or life at large is insane - but for a rockstar in 1967? keith richards the man you are

ruby sat there for a long period of time, too much in shock to say anything despite the question her best friend was asking her. she took in every bloody cut and bruise that covered him, tears welling in her eyes as she did so. "keith yun," his name sounded out, but she wasn't even certain if it came from her own mouth. the woman felt like everything was muted in the world around her, and she didn't know whether to curse at her boyfriend for disappearing and showing up like this or to be thankful that he was here at all. she stepped to the side to let him in, her anger winning the emotional roller coaster going on inside of her. "if the next words you say aren't to tell me what the hell is going on or why you've had me on radio silence, truthfully, you can leave after cleaning up." such a harsh tone wasn't anything like her, but truth be told she was terrified.

Where to start..?   Ruby Tuesday is actually The “B” side to “Let’s Spend The Night Together” 

The song was written by Keith Richards alone. It is about a girlfriend  of Keith’s named Linda who left him and ran off with Jimi Hendrix. Jimi  would return the favor and leave her heartbroken . 

“Don’t question why she needs to be so free.”“She’ll tell you it’s the only way to be.”  “She just can’t be chained to a life where nothings gained and nothings lost at such a cost.”

Few more tidbits.  This is the infamous Ed Sullivan Live performance where they were told to change the words of Lets spend the night together to “Let’s spend some time together”.  

Keith is surprisingly playing the piano here Kudos to Brian Jones rocking a grammar school recorder. Enjoy.

What I liked about the original "Super Saiyan God" was how true power could not be obtained on one's own. Then they retconned that by having Vegeta gain it out of nowhere...on his own.
