I spent the whole day playing her. Just going through the the babiest most basic scales n stuff because this is a completely different beast from my silly little casio to keyboard.

This thing has full sized weighted keys and feels really nice to play. I am really glad paused my practising until I had a proper keyboard because I think I might have been pretty frusterated to have to basically relearn a bunch of stuff and rework a bunch of muscle memory.

Though, due to falling off my practise for almost a year, I am having to relearn a bunch of what little I had learned anyways.

I'm not super interest in learning songs right now...I feel like I really need to get a head start on getting use to the correct posture n stuff first. Scales are easy and I don't have to worry about the notes, so I can play slowly with attention to my posture. I'm so stiff and tense, but I already know a lot of that will resolve itself as I get more familliar with the instrument. I am mostly concerned about keeping an eye out on developing the right habits/shapes/guestures so that I don't bake any bad habits into my muscle memory that maybe feels more easy right now but I'll regret later on.

I guess people find scales and hand/wrist/finger exersizes really boring...but I'm at such a basic stage right now where it's very fun and challenging lmao atm it feels more like learning a new videogame than anything else.

I remember when I first started playing on my little toy keyboard, I couldn't even play a scale with both hands at the same time, especially not when minding with the thumb-under asychrony.

I can do that now, at least haha!
