I have, with some frustration, been re-upping certain vaccines, on my own initiative.
I'm fairly certain I had a nasty case of covid in feb2020, before any testing was available, gifted to me by a coworker after they went on holiday and spent two weeks sick, but still came in coughing. Guessing my blood type helped buffer it but it was six months before I could walk briskly without gasping for air. So yeah, pretty sure!
Then there's the growing body of research demonstrating that fibromyalgia is in the post-viral conditions with mast cell dysfunction category. A significant chunk of people diagnosed with it likely have an autoimmune disorder of the fucking dorsal ganglia. Yeah, those tell-tale tender points? That's them.
It would certainly explain why so many of us get sick more easily and take longer to recover. I caught fucking chickenpox in my late 30's! (After I repeatedly explained that I was unvaccinated and no I hadn't ever had it due to a highly isolated childhood). Didn't believe me. Now I'm stuck getting the shingles vaccine later in life. *slow clap*
So no, buddy, I didn't bother wasting a deductible on a doctor who's probably operating on outdated info, and getting my titers checked. Nor should I need to explain to your doubting ass. Any time I go into public spaces without my mask I get sick. That's not hyperbole. It's ultimately cheaper to get boosters for commonly accepted things and risk paying for the one insurance might challenge.

Sure I have @matt0044 That's like the default stance of 90% of the RWBY critiques I encounter. People had a headcanon, often an extremely baseless one, then got mad the show didn't follow through on imagined foreshadowing. All while insisting any analysis one does that relies on the show itself as baseless. Even when you give the exact time stamp and quote they deem it invalid, like my debates regarding Robyn Hill & Ironwood embezzling materials from Mantle.
As to Blake, there's an excellent post by @kkglinka that breakdown how the "Blake was a poor orphan radicalized" thing is actually a really stereotypical and baseless take that has a lot of loaded bigotry to it. & how Blake having the background she does is not only a good subversion but subtly hinted at in the show itself. Such as her honestly somewhat "Snooty" disposition in the early seasons, distinct but not totally so from Weiss's. Or the fact when she talks White Fang soldiers listen and not like they are just being told off by their CO's ex.
Regarding Sun, the Meet the Parents stuff was always cringe inducing to me, but the takes on it were far worse & as with most things reflected a deeply heteronormative mindset. (But by gods be wary if you point this out cos apparently this is worse than kicking someone's dog somehow) Because people acted as though Blake & Sun were destined to be cos of a wink, but dismissed Yang's wink, many argued Blake & Sun were officially dating in V2, despite barely interacting. These same people tried to argue the Blake who kissed Yang in the Ever After was an illusion. They are fundamentally unwilling to engage with reality if it doesn't conform to their biases and get angry and lash out when it doesn't.

it's amazing the lengths these people will go to brazenly misinterpret easily verifiable information (Ghira didn't become leader of Menagerie until he stepped down as Leader of the White Fang, which was a much smaller, peaceful organisation before Sienna took over - we even fucking see one of their caravans getting attacked in the Adam short where they clearly don't have much going for them - and Blake explicitly didn't leave when her parents did, so she never lived in the Chieftain's house - also the way this dickhead phrased this whole thing is really gross. and 'Blake brought a guy home' is a hilarious way of lying about 'a guy followed Blake home and wouldn't leave')

Most annoying part of my phone anxiety is that it's zero percent social anxiety, but that's what people assume, which makes help guides useless for me. I've always been hilariously fearless in social settings -- not a trait most expect, given me otherwise reserved nature. It's honestly funny because then I can watch them flounder as I cheerfully bulldoze my way through.
No, I just have fucking audio dysphasia and, without crucial visual and situational cues, struggle to understand the speaker. Nevermind if they have a strong accent because of how companies outsource labor to avoid paying living wage. So yes, I procrastinate over making phone calls.

We can thank the obnoxiously bright security lights the landlord installed the previous year (and why I needed a full set of blackout curtains).

My favorite way to slightly weird out onlookers is to use my combined sports, martial, and etiquette training to walk up or down stairs without bobbing or twisting my upper body.

Just finished shoveling 8" of heavy snow off my car and current spot. I came inside and promptly shed sweat soaked layers. Good thing for curtains!

Got so annoyed I couldn't find any cocktail sauce without corn syrup that I looked up how to make my own. I'm never buying it again. (Pepper says it's hideous).

I love using my polish cookbook because all the recipes are just...a block of text. No separate ingredient lists. No combined prep time. No separated steps. If it's a really complex recipe it might be two big blocks of text. Spicing instructions like oh use that typical combo or that other one, you know what I mean. Eight hundred some odd pages, three to four recipes per page. Condensed.
