It's sort of crushing seeing art that was reposted/stolen get more notes than art that was personally shared by the artist. I mean, not to name any names or come off too accusatory or anything else like that, but it really is sort of disheartening seeing someone's art that was stolen/reposted without permission get more attention than art that the original artist decided to share. I feel like I'm the only one that's really noticed this apparent trend that's been happening within this fandom in the last three or so years, stolen/reposted content often getting more attention over content that was shared by the original artist and/or creator. It's a pretty widespread issue that's been allowed to last this long because of what I believe to be a combination of small fandoms like this one being sort of lawless, essentially allowing people to do whatever they want, and the blogs that're doing this often targeting art that was posted in this very fandom years and years ago, which allows these blogs to obscure the fact that the art was stolen in the first place.
Before I go any further, I just want to make it clear that this was all inspired by a certain piece of fanart that's been making the rounds lately reposted by a blog whose username includes the words "sandman" and "daddy" and the number 69, seeing it slowly gain 60+ notes in a relatively short amount of time whilst most recent fanart that's been posted in the main tag can barely manage to break even and get only 10-20 notes at a glacial pace and often go long periods without any real activity or notice. (I'm aware that this is a relatively small fandom that isn't always active and can sometimes be super dead and quiet, but there's fanart going back years and years ago that have well over 100 or so notes, so that kind of negates any kind of arguing or logic over the relative size of this fandom.)
Now that I've gotten that part out of the way, now's the time to move on what I consider to be speculation about why this is such a (secretly) common thing in this fandom.
1). To start, the most obvious aspect to this whole thing is that Satoshi Kon and his various works are all eternally popular, so it would be fair to assume that the reason why stolen/reposted content is such a common trend is because of popularity/attention and wanting a bunch of eyeballs on it as well.
2). Secondly, it's mostly horror blogs that do this, mostly with Perfect Blue and Paranoia Agent being the most common targets. For Perfect Blue, it's mostly old official art that gets stolen, with nary a piece of fanart in sight, (Maybe because there isn't really a lot of fanart worth stealing in the first place? I'm just speculating on that part), and for Paranoia Agent, it's actually JUST fanart, with only one or two pieces of official art being reposted/stolen. The other Kon works like Paprika and Tokyo Godfathers and Millennium Actress don't usually get this kind of thing, and are usually left out as a result. (I would assume it's because the other works are of different genres altogether, and thus wouldn't fit into the horror aesthetic that these blogs are trying to cultivate.)
3.) Lastly, and I think this bears repeating for the most part, it's mostly old fanart from a long time ago that gets stolen or reposted, with the oldest going back to either 2011 or 2012 and the most recent going back to 2018 or even 2024. As stated elsewhere, the reason for this is because this is fanart that was made by people who are no longer a part of this fandom and thus aren't really able to do anything about their art being stolen/reposted. (Though I did manage to tell one particular artist about their old art being reposted and used without permission, and who took action almost immediately, so that's one good thing to come out of this, along with getting to let some people who reblogged/liked the post that had the stolen/reposted art in it know about that fact, which prompted a few of them to delete their reblogs/remove their likes, effectively washing their hands of the post in the process.)
Not necessarily related to all of this, but still important to mention regardless, but a lot of the fanart from other fandoms that these blogs steal/repost also often have a watermark/or artist signature visible somewhere in the picture, something people fail to notice when they reblog and/or like the post in question, which I find a bit surprising, really, since you'd think a highly visible watermark on a piece of art would be enough to make people think otherwise about reblogging it or giving it a like. But then again, I can't really blame people for not noticing the watermark in the first place, since even if it is pretty visible, it's not necessarily visible in a way that would be immediately noticeable.
#paranoia agent#art theft#kotoba one#to continue from my last point#I also can't blame people if they don't register that that small piece of text in the picture is a watermark#since it's a barely visible element to the picture that probably won't be noticed on the first viewing#also fun fact#when I was initially half way with finishing writing this and sending it to myself#another blog that steals/reposts fanart came right out of the woodwork#with a reposted version of an old piece of art of Tsukiko and Maromi that I think was originally posted to tumblr around 2011/2012#so that officially marks five blogs in this fandom that steal/repost art#but there's probably more that I'm not aware of

so is no one talking about HoneyWorks literally baiting us with a great reincarnation story with heavy lore through a freakin' glowing necklace previously owned by a good guy and now possessed by the villain for some reason (hinting on heavy angst as well), and they did NOTHING with it?
I still have my questions man.. did the hero in "Kyou mo Sakura" got taken out, and he's actually the blonde guy in Ai no Scenario protecting his girl who probably was previously his red-head friend in the samurai era? Or was he the actual villain in both Ai No Scenario and Kotoba Iranai Yakusoku who is only against the girl because plot twist, he's mad at the main guy who was his bff bc he chose her over him. Maybe he was the same guy and he was possesed by the necklace or something related to the inevitability of him being evil that's why he was kinda angsty and reflecting his past in the mv?? I DON'T KNOW!
WHAT'S ALSO THAT DEAL WITH THE CLIFFHANGER IN THE END OF AI NO SCENARIO?? Like I know they're happy in "The Day I Called Your Name" but what is this?? ! Also, the core groups are both in fours coz why not?
(I personally headcanon that what happened is the first situation above just because I'd like to imagine the Pride Kakumei pair is the same as the Kotoba Iranai Yakusoku duo, and I don't want the squad to break, but yeah, we need more LORE)
I miss CHiCO with HoneyWorks, but man... even when she's there, they never resolved it, and even when they can without her (Kotoba Iranai Yakusoku and its sequel was sung by Sana and Gero), still a noðð
#honeyworks#commentary#chico with honeyworks#ai no scenario#pride kakumei#anime lore#vocaloid#Kyou mo Sakura Mau Akatsuki ni#kotoba iranai yakusoku#remember when HoneyWorks had so much lore in non-CEC mvs?#and now even CEC songs get one image or 2 most of the times lmao

IkeVil -2nd anniversary- song "Pure White" (çŽçœ), by Fujita Maiko: Translation and romaji
ê° ÖŽ Öº â¹ @ notice â¹ Öº ÖŽ ê± this translation may not be 100% accurate (i extracted these lyrics by rote) or contain creative liberties for narrative flow. if you enjoy, please consider reblogging, but please donât repost these or claim these as your own!
Title: çŽçœ (Junpaku) English title: Pure White Artist: Fujita Maiko
A response to the original theme song, [æŒé»] (Jet Black), by the same artist.
ðð à£ªË Listen here ð§
English:
Love is that which even if we know to not venture in, we cannot remain where we are. Unable to see what lies in the future, this is a forbidden love. The moonlight illuminates the darkness, and the silent city is covered in fog. Unable to find the way out, Iâll take you around the world. You are a pure white queen of the night, blooming freely with a sweet fragrance. An unforgettable night is about to begin. *To falter is proof of attraction. Simply see it as it truly is, and surrender yourself to it. There is no way to turn back from where you came. Tonight, you will fall into me. The loneliness, that solitude, and the emptiness that can never be filled⊠Strip them away, one at a time, and forget them for now, forget them all. Staining you, donned in pure white, I loathe to show you to anyone else. A night known to none is about to begin. The butterfly lamp is so beautiful it drives one mad, and not knowing how it draws you to the point of suffering, these feelings are not something that can be stopped. Tonight, I will fall into you. Everyone has with them a hidden side, (and a hidden desire) In the end, we are beings who will drown in this sweet nectar. I want to fulfill that wish, which cannot be expressed in words. *repeat To an endless dream⊠Tonight, you will fall into me.
Romaji lyrics:

Iâm curious what you think Okazaki would listen to.
Hell yeah its okazaki time
Okay hold on I might have to bust out the playlist for this one
First of all I think it would be funny if Okazaki listened to like. the most normal silly songs. just Ai Kotoba in her headphones as she stalks Tsuno. Melt blasting from her speakers as she tinkers with a bomb. Magical Cure Love Shot to set the mood for her illegal surgeries.
Okay but honestly I feel like Okazaki's music taste is just "eh whatever comes up" so it'd end up being super scattered and that's how she likes it. World is Mine to The Fox's Wedding in an average shuffle. I'd say the one thing she CAN'T tolerate is slow songs, so everything has to have a quick beat to it and that's pretty much the only condition.
Uhhh for the funnies I think she should listen to Monitoring. No reason in particular.
She probably likes listening to those songs that feel like fever dreams. I'm talking like Happiness Series, Benzene series, most Slave V.R.R. songs. Considering the other characters I've done are Kamimura and Wada it feels vaguely cursed to give her any producers I mentioned earlier but like. There is overlap there. Especially with the ones I listed for Wada.
OH THE PLAYLIST SCROLLING YIELDED GREAT RESULTS OKAZAKI COSMO@BOUSOU-P YES YES YES
Sorry don't mind that uh yeah. Okazaki CosmoP absolutely she loves that shit. Real Shoushitsu my beloved she would love that shit. Also Biz x Zera stuff she would love that shit too. Okazaki you freak (/affectionate).
Anyway yeah Okazaki's playlist is a Nightmare of frenetic neon songs that have a good beat to stab to. None of it flows at all and the shuffle button sometimes doesn't work because there's too many songs in the playlist (so real bro me too)
#these are getting less analytical and more just screaming but uh. okozoko hanananano.#tetro danganronpa pink#tetro danganronpa#okazaki hanano#akari.txt#folder: akari

I do NOT speak Japanese, so please, if there are any mistakes, blame google
èšèã®èŽãç© (Kotoba no Okurimono) â A Gift of Words
Yuki had never been one for grand romantic gestures. He liked things simpleâgood food, fast cars, and the feeling of your hand in his. So when you told him you had a surprise planned for your one-year anniversary, he was curious but didnât think much of it.
Dinner in Tokyo, he assumed. Maybe a small gift exchange. Nothing too extravagant, because that wasnât your style either. But as the night unfolded, he started to realize you had something bigger in mind.
You sat across from him at a cozy, tucked-away restaurant in Suzuka, his favorite hometown spot. The warm glow of the lanterns bathed your face in golden light as you took a deep breath, steadying yourself.
âYuki,â you began, a hint of nervousness in your eyes. And then, to his absolute shock, the next words came in fluent Japanese.
ãããªããšããæéããç§ã®äžçªã®å¹žãã§ããã
(The time I spend with you is my greatest happiness.)
His chopsticks nearly slipped from his fingers. His mouth parted slightly, but no words came out. He just stared, completely dumbfounded.
You smiled, pushing past the nerves. "ãã®äžå¹Žéãããªããšäžç·ã«ããããšãã§ããŠãæ¬åœã«å¹žãã§ããã"
(This past year, being with you has made me so happy.)
Yuki blinked, processing, before a slow grin spread across his face. âWaitâwhat? Since when do you speak Japanese?â
You laughed, cheeks warm. âIâve been learning for you,â you admitted. âI wanted to be able to talk to you in your language, to understand more of your world.â
For once, Yuki was speechless. He leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table as he took you in, eyes filled with something deeper than just surprise. Admiration. Love.
âHoly shit,â he muttered in English, before switching back to Japanese. ããããªããšããŠããããªããŠâŠæ¬åœã«ïŒã (You really did this for me?)
You nodded, and his heart stuttered. No one had ever done something like this for him. Sure, people respected him, cheered for him, but this? This was different. This was personal.
Reaching across the table, Yuki took your hand in his, squeezing gently. Then, with a teasing smirk, he leaned in and whispered, ãããããããããã¯æ¥æ¬èªã ãã§è©±ãããïŒã
(So, from now on, should we only speak in Japanese?)
You groaned, half-laughing, half-panicking. âLetâs not get ahead of ourselves,â you replied in English.
Yuki chuckled, eyes shining. He wasnât one for dramatic gestures, but tonight, he swore heâd remember this moment forever.
And maybe, just maybe, heâd have to plan something just as special for your next anniversary.

BUCK-TICK Rezisto - English translation & romaji
"Rezisto"
Blood, flesh, bones, words and a bit of poison We were created from that recipe Blood, flesh, bones, words and a bit of poison We were created from that recipe
His poem scatters pig entrails Thatâs one of the organic methods Moonlight howl, death dance, he is an impulse His heels match the rhythm, the night is deep
Yeah, today Iâll again hurt and keep living It would be good to be a rebel
Blood, flesh, bones, words and a bit of poison We were created from that recipe Blood, flesh, bones, words and a bit of poison We were created from that recipe
His poem scatters pig entrails Thatâs one of the organic methods Moonlight howl, death dance, he is an impulse His heels match the rhythm, the night is deep
Yeah, today Iâll again hurt and keep living It would be good to be a rebel Yeah, today Iâll again hurt and keep living It would be good to be a rebel
[T/N] an interesting detail is that the "will hurt and keep living" (å·ã€ããŠçã) part is written with the character for "live", rather than being left in hiragana. normally this construction would simply mean "i'll go on hurting [others]", but adding the kanji deepens the meaning to a more existential one ("to go on living is to cause harm")
the "it'd be good to be a rebel" line isn't 100% clear to me. "ãªããããã" can mean "i wish [i] could become X", literally "it would be good if [someone] could become X", but because of the lack of context we can only speculate if it expresses a person's wish to become a rebel, or is meant to be advice to others ["better become a rebel"], so i did my best to keep my translation vague too

ok hereâs a rough draft on some pjsk ocs please dont be mean i dont know how to write
preT*leaves
(pretty tea leaves... with the asterisk from pasupare because i'm unoriginal)
british tea party themed (think morfonica tea party set outfit vibes)
2 girls 2 guys
they do dainty little dances..
sekai is like a little palace
start with miku, rin, len
they were members of the tea party club (yeah thats a club now) (started as a joke) and then one of them suggested they should form a unit and start singing. they did because idk they ran out of tea to taste
iâm expanding their covers to any jpop song i like.
ibitsuna kotoba (dazbee)
tenshi ni fureta yo (k-on)
cat (milgram)
coquettrie dancer (yuu miyashita)
ok actual characters time!!
[placeholder name 1] (girl 1)
stage name: cinderella
voice is whispery. like shizuku/honami/kanade
she is literally only seen at club meetings. the other members of this unit have never seen her outside the club and she leaves before anyone can get her contact
mysterious
quiet
was the one who suggested the unit idea
also founded the club
17
[placeholder name 2] (girl 2)
stage name: candle
a tad strange
claims she can see ghosts and talk to them
wide eyed like a paranoid bug
kind of like the "token weird girl" of the class. no one dislikes her she's just there like the silly little bug in the corner of the class
carries candles around and will light one and wave it around you if you say you are feeling any negative emotion
16
[placeholder name 3] (guy 1)
stage name: ruler
mature
seems like a mom friend and he is but then you realize he actually believes in all of candle's weird exorcism talk. encourages it
very smart, occasionally very scary
???
17
[placeholder name 4] (guy 2)
stage name: charm
character who's done with things (i love grumpy people who hate everything. sorry if its overdone but actually im not sorry theyre my characters)
really likes idol rhythm games so was secretly excited when cinderella suggested forming a unit. his first thought was "oh my god we're just like morfonica..."
actually very good at being prim and proper and nice
16
name suggestions are SO welcome like i need names please

Kaito gardening? he had to get his roses from somewhere. Aside from the traditional roses his favourites have been blue flowers for ages (Aoko) but lately he's been interested in yellow ones (as golden as a specific detective's hair), red ones (like a certain Witch) and sunflowers (from the film). Maybe he likes orchids (Ran) too from their frequent encounters. I love imagining he knows Hana Kotoba and Western flower language too.
KAITO KNOWING HANA KOTOBA? ABSOLUTELY. HIM HAVING HIS OWN GARDEN? WITHOUT DOUBTS.
I agree with you, I really like the headcanon of him having a special flower for everyone!
as a silly little headcanon, I think he is so used to give flowers to Shinichi every time they meet that one day Shinichi is just like "What? Are you robbing flower shops or something?"
and then has to close his mouth with shame and new information that the flowers are directly grown by Kid and the doubt of what his garden will be like.
#ask#blue roses mean trust and also the hope of achieving a difficult or impossible love#sunflowers 'I only have eyes for you' is so cute#i think they suit to kaishin so much#a bouquet of roses and sunflowers#i know that in mk canon blue roses are not for him but I'm sorry my brain chemistry is adapted to them#dcmk#kaishin

A list of foods and healing techniques for maintaining your hormonal balance and mana flow during menarche.
ã¯ããã« â Entering the Red Moon Path (èµ€æã®é)
To bleed is to awakenâa moment when the veils between your inner world and the world of the kami grow thin. Your first gekkei (æçµ â moontime) marks not only a physical transformation but the blossoming of your reikan (éæ â spiritual perception.) Like the shrine maidens (miko) of old, you now walk a path that calls for balance between the body, the spirit, and the flow of ki (æ°.)
Honor this rite with offerings to yourself: sacred foods and rituals that nurture hormonal harmony and keep your mana flowing like a mountain spring.
Sacred nourishment (é£ã¹ç©ãšéçãªèª¿å)
Goma (sesame seeds, especially black sesame)
Why: Strengthens the kidneys and supports hormonal production in traditional medicine.
Kami connection: A symbol of fertility and life energy.
Witch tip: Grind fresh black sesame and offer a pinch to the household kamidana (ç¥æ£) or spirit altar before consuming.
2. Kabocha (Japanese pumpkin)
Why: Rich in beta-carotene for hormonal support.
Ritual use: Carve a simple protective glyph into the skin before cooking to invoke good health spirits.
Witch tip: Simmer with dashi and a whisper of gratitude for the land spirits (jinushigami.)
3. Azuki (red beans)
Why: Vital for blood support and sacred to purification rites.
Cultural note: Used in sekihan (red rice) for celebratory transitions.
Witch tip: Eat red bean porridge on your first day as a sign of strength and reverence to your ancestral line.
4. Shiso (perilla leaf) & umeboshi (pickled plum)
Why: Both are blood-purifying and emotionally stabilizing.
Witch tip: Wrap umeboshi in shiso and consume mindfully while meditating on your emotional state. Offer one to the kami of your lineage.
Mugicha (barley tea)
Why: Caffeine-free, grounding, and connected to earthy kami.
Witch tip: Brew a pot, set it beside your ofuda (amulet) or omamori during your bath ritual, and drink to center your mana.
Healing rites for mana flow and reikan stability
1. OnmyÅdÅ breathing ritual (é°éœéã®åŒåžæ³)
Sit in seiza before your altar or a window with moonlight.
Inhale with the chant: "Seimei no hikari, watashi no naka e." (The light of life flows into me.)
Exhale with: "Fujiyuu na ki, sora e kaesu." (Stagnant energy returns to the sky.)
Visualize yin and yang spirals balancing within your hara (center.)
Tsukimi bath (æèŠé¢šå)
Prepare a bath with mugwort (yomogi), hinoki salt, and a single white camellia if available.
Float a candle or keep a moonlit mirror by the tub.
Whisper: âWatashi wa tsuki no michibiki o ukeireru.â (I accept the guidance of the moon.)
3. Shrine offering for health kami (å¥åº·ã®ç¥æ§ãžã®å¥çŽ)
Visit a local shrine if you can, or create a mini indoor one.
Offer: mochi, seasonal fruit, or sekihan.
Bow twice, clap twice, and express thanks for your developing body.
Kami to honor: Sukunahikona-no-Kami (healing), Kishimojin (protector of women), or even Amaterasu (divine feminine light.)
Womb sealing sigil (åå®®ã®å°å°å°)
Draw a protective kanji (like å® for peace or åœ for life) on your lower abdomen, using essential oils or natural ink.
Visualize it glowing as a charm to regulate hormonal chaos and shield your inner realm.
Dream incense & moon journal
Burn sandalwood and camphor incense before bed.
Record your dreams for 7 nights.
First moontime dreams often carry kami no kotobaâsacred messages from ancestral or natural spirits.
Final blessing: å§ãŸãã®ç¥ã | A Prayer for the First Flow
On this night, I welcome the river within. I honor the kami of blood, bone, and water. My body is not a burdenâit is a shrine. I walk forward as the witch, the priestess, the storm. May my mana never stagnate. May my spirit always flow.
With incense smoke curling like a foxâs tail, and plum blossoms falling like quiet spells, I welcome you to the path. Your first period is not the end of innocenceâit is the beginning of deep knowing.

Himukai DaijingÅ« æ¥å倧ç¥å®®
"This shrine is believed to have been founded during the reign of Emperor Kenzo (traditionally believed to have reigned 485-487 or so) when the deities on the holy site on the peak of Takachiho in Himuka, in the province of Tsukushi (now part of Fukuoka Prefecture) was relocated The Inner Shrine enshrines Amaterasu Omikami, the Sun Goddess and highest-ranking deity in State Shinto, and the Triple Goddess of Munakata (deities of safety at sea or on the road), while the Outer Shrine enshrines Ninigi-no-Mikoto (kami of farming) and Amenominakanushi (the first kami and the source of the universe). The other shrines throughout the grounds enshrine various deities closely connected with both Inner and Outer Shrines
The mountain abode of this "God of the Sun" was named Kamiyama (Sun Mountain, also the same word as "God Mountain") by Emperor Tenchi, and it was latet known as Hinomiyama (Honorable Mountain of the Sun) or Shinmelyama (Mountain of the Light of the Gods).
An epidemic swept the land in the Jogan period (859-877 or so) during the Heian Period (794-1185). The emperor prayed at the shrine and the gods responded, telling his to offer the pure waters of the shrine's grounds to the people. This cured the epidemic, and so Emperor Seiwa named this spring "Asahi Izumi" (Spring of the Morning Sun), and provided a name tablet in his own hand reading "Himukai Shrine." The shrine bÃŒildings and ancient records were lost to fire during the Onin War (1467-1477), but Matsui Tozaemon from the village of Matsuzaka constructed a temporary shrine and rebuilt the buildings. In the Keicho period (1596-1615 or so) Noro Munemitsu from Ise reconstructed the shrine, having been sent a vision from the gods in a dream.
In the old days, it was always bustling as a place to pray for safety along the Tokaido Highway, and as an alternative to having to travel all the way to the Grand Shrine of Ise."
Shrine Information Plaque

I went out into the mountains of eastern Kyoto to originally visit the Ise JingÅ« Long Distance Prayer Space (äŒå¢ç¥å®®é¥ææ), which Google gave me the absolutely wrong directions for and resulted in me meandering through the mountains for a bit. Fun fact the entrance to that is at the shrine! Anyways I made my way there first, and hiked up to the spot. It was really serene and peaceful, and I recited the Åharae no Kotoba.

The shrine was also dealing with an issue of those Asian Hornet danger bees, so there were signs everywhere warning people about them ð, but I persevered. The shrine has a small boatload of Auxillary and sub shrines in the precinct. Including a Taga Shrine, Kasuga Shrine, and Inari Shrine to name some.

I also found Asahi TenmangÅ«, where I recited the Åharae again. I joked with some of my Shinto friends that I was certain Tenjin-sama would see me coming and go "How many times have you prayed to me today???" Simply due to how many TenmangÅ« I'd find at places that theoretically didn't have any connection to him.

I'd say one of the coolest parts of the shrine was that it had replicas of the buildings in Naikū and Gekū at Ise Jingū! There was even a replica of the Ama no Iwato cave you could go inside of.

All in all a great visit, I didn't get a Goshuin this round because the priest was out sick. However I did go back again later, so I'll share it from that second trip!
