Been a while since we added another Remnant design to the roster! And who better than miss Komaru Naegi herself!
Going into this I wasn’t sure what I wanted to go with for her, but you know, the warriors of Hope really need a better baby sitter then Nagito so let’s have Komaru fill that role! She gets the despair of having to look after and help the kids who tormented her and killed her parents, and the kids get despair from having to actually listen to someone! Win win! Or really, lose lose lol.
So I dressed her like Miss Frizzle and called it a day lol. I do want to point out the bear heads on her dress were colour picked directly from the Monokubs because I think it’s a fun detail

Idk if it's just me, but fsr I see the most shipped prisoner would be Fuuta, it would be very funny if there was like a love corner of 0306, 0309, and 0310
Omg most shipped prisoner fr (I’m pretty sure I’ve seen something of him with everyone in the main cast aside from Amane, who. I mean. Certainly has a strong relationship with him that people are excited about 😅) I looove the 20s gang, and love the thought of the tsundere himself caught in the middle of them all – this was so fun to write!!
Fuuta knew an ambush when he saw one. Well, he’d never actually seen an ambush before, but he was certain he was recognizing one now.
It started gradually, with three of the prisoners acting strangely around him. Mahiru, Mikoto, and Kotoko paid extra attention to him and his schedule. They knew where he’d be and when. They spoke to him about personal topics, trying to draw all sorts of private information from him. Worst of all, he could feel their eyes all over him in every conversation. Even when he turned his back, he could swear they were still staring.
They were watching him. They were planning… something, he just knew it.
His suspicions were confirmed sometime around Shidou’s interrogation. The three prisoners in question started making their moves. Each tried to get Fuuta isolated with them. The requests were simple and innocent on the outside – “Fuuta-kun, won’t you help me with tonight’s dinner?” “I think I saw one in the supply closet. Fuuta, wanna check with me?” “Would you mind spotting me for a minute?” – but he saw right through them. He’d always come up with a clever excuse to stay in the crowded rooms, but he knew his time was running out. In a prison with nine other murderers (not that he was one, of course,) it was only a matter of time before they developed an actual plan and cornered him to carry out whatever awful plan they had in mind.
He wished he’d been better prepared, when the moment of the ambush actually arrived. His guilty verdict was hitting him hard: the voices kept him awake through the nights, and he no longer felt like showing his face in the cafeteria. He hadn’t really realized how poorly he felt until he nearly collapsed on his way to dinner. Shidou escorted him back to his cell, rambling about fever treatments that Fuuta tuned out.
While he was crawling into bed at the doctor’s orders, he could hear the three conspiring outside his cell. They made excuses about bringing him soup and medicine and crap, but it was obviously just for show. Shidou, the idiot, let them right in with praises for their kindness.
Fuuta only had a moment to reach under the bed, grab the makeshift weapon he’d stolen (a pair of scissors with an unfortunately blunt end) and return to feigned sleep. He’d keep his eyes closed, and when they got to close, he’d have the element of surprise on his side.
He listened to the three shuffle around the room. They placed down the soup and the tea they’d brought as props. They stepped closer. Fuuta tensed underneath the sheets.
Mahiru was the first to speak.
“He’s so cute when he’s sleeping~”
He nearly opened his eyes right then and there, gawking at the sudden comment.
“He does look peaceful, huh?”
“It’s because he’s finally quiet,” Kotoko scoffed.
“Oh, you can’t fool me,” Mahiru giggled. “I’ve seen the way you two talk.”
“I have no idea what you mean,” she replied in a way that said she knew exactly what was meant.
“There’s no need to be embarrassed – I love him too!”
It took all of Fuuta’s willpower to keep his face straight. What the fuck was she talking about? Was this part of their ploy, somehow? His palms were sweaty against the scissors.
“Tch, it’s not love, there’s no need to be so dramatic. I just… enjoy his company sometimes.”
“Yeah,” Mikoto chimed in, “you enjoy it every single day.” Then, with uncharacteristic bitterness from him, he added, “none of us can get a word in when you two start going at it with those debates…”
Mahiru let out a little squeal. “Oh my gosh~ You too, Mikoto? I never would have guessed! Look at the three of all, all head over heels! I – Oh, no, look how red he’s turning! Poor thing, this fever came on so suddenly… Do you have that cold compress from Shidou-san?”
“Right here!”
Mikoto’s footsteps crossed the room. Fuuta cursed himself for the involuntary reaction. He hadn’t thought it possible to attract even more unwanted attention to himself. Though he was relieved they misunderstood the cause of the heat spreading across his face, he felt even more determined to leave now than when he thought the three were coming here to kill him.
He grit his teeth and stayed completely still as Mikoto pressed the cool material against his face. Mahiru followed it with her own palms, prematurely checking if it had helped. Both the compress and her touch were relieving to the blush, but neither did anything to subdue it.
Fuuta should have yelled that it was a violation of his personal space. He held his tongue.
“Do you think he knows? Mahiru wants to tell him!”
“He must. It’s not like any of us have been subtle.”
“Ah, so he’s turned you down, too?”
“Maybe he doesn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings!”
“Fuuta has never once cared about hurting anyone’s feelings…”
“Still, it’s an awkward topic to turn people down.”
They were lucky he was actually awake, Fuuta thought, or he would have woken with some choice words about at the casual volume at which they all spoke around a sick patient.
Mahiru let out a little laugh, and it took him a second to realize it was the closest she’d ever get to a mean sound. “Well, you all better watch out! I know what makes a perfect romance, you all don’t stand a chance.”
Mikoto scoffed. “Oh, you’re on. You haven’t seen me use my charm yet.”
“You don’t have charm,” Kotoko said.
“As if you do. How do you plan on winning him over? Another pull-ups date?”
“He enjoyed them!”
“Not as much as my cake~”
Fuuta thought he would explode while attempting to hold still during such a conversation. He curled himself tighter into a ball, mistakenly thinking they were focused on each other. He should have known Mahiru’s gaze wasn’t so easily distracted.
“Aw, look at him, getting all tangled up like this. Let me straighten this ou–” She reached down to shake out the sheets, then froze. “Are these… scissors?”
Fuuta held his breath as she pried them out of his hands. So this was it. He’d been caught.
He was one more deep breath away from flinging himself up and explaining himself, when – “Sometimes he just melts Mahiru’s heart! He’s always trying to be a hero.”
Kotoko chuckled, her voice filled with pride. “Heh, always ready for a fight, more like it.”
“With scissors like that? He’ll poke his own eye out before anything. He should have just come to us if he was worried. There’s nothing wrong with asking for a little help. … Oi, what are those faces for?”
Shidou’s voice interrupted the group, telling them to quiet down and let Fuuta rest.
He’d never agreed with the old man more. He held his breath while the room cleared out, and the whispered well-wishes fell into silence. Footsteps receded away from the panopticon, all the way to the common room.
Fuuta peered one eye open. The coast was clear.
He rolled over to put his face directly into his pillow, and yelled as much as he could muster.

Concept: Shuichi was hired to investigate the WoH and he soon one by one rescue them.
i'm assuming this is non-despair!
Shuichi had no idea what he was getting into when he was tasked to investigate the kids known as the Warriors of Hope. He was close to their age; really, what could he do?
He had no idea how horrible their home lives were until he started gathering information. No wonder he was hired to look into them; he had to get them out of those situations!
With some help from his uncle, especially in terms of what could be done legally, he approached them one by one to help them out of the situations they’d been forced into by their families.
Some of them were easier than others; Nagisa especially was very distrusting of him at first, which led to the others not really trusting him, either. That made his job harder.
But in the end, all he wanted to do was help them out. He had an inkling that they hadn’t thought there could be any way to help them, and that was why they were so reluctant.

Here's a DR Demix question that I have regarding the Monokuma Kubs & the Warriors of Hope since I haven't heard anything about them in this AU. Do they by any chance swap with each other like the Li'l Ultimates become Usowa babies (Or whatever baby bunnies are called.) & the Kubs are now human kids working under Taka?
Hi, and thanks for the ask!
You've hit it right on the head! The Li'l ultimates in this au swap with the Monokubs in DrV3, with the Monokubs getting their own swanky humanized forms (design still TBA for now) with each color Monokub swapping with the equivalent, or similar, colored WoH member.
Rather than a group of poorly-taught kids, these "Enforcers of Despair" are a group of university burn-outs, cruel outcasted losers who find an erroneous purpose and freedom by serving as Kiyotaka's successors in his absence, continuing his will and serving his perverted view of law, peace, and justice. Together, they are in charge of the conquering one of the last shreds of resistance against Taka's new world order: an isolated mountain haven called Jabberwock Village.
They have a particularly strong hatred for children and the meek, with special orders to completely stamp out the childlike glee in all children. Replacing it with unquestioning obedience to authority and rigidity.
In the order they appear:
Hantaro (Monotaro) is the first. A naive and forgetful dullard, but dedicated and unshakably loyal. Hantaro is completely invested in the cause in earnest, for reasons that he may have trouble remembering, but believes in nonetheless.
Seinsouke (Monosuke) is the second. A selfish and rude brute, whose shrewdness is only matched by his greed. Seinosuke is not a believer in the cause for any real ideological reason. He simply sees it as a means to amass more and more wealth.
Stephanie (Monophanie) is the third. Airheaded and unassuming, but carries a manipulative streak that belies a deeper intelligence. Stephanie is another believer of the cause, one who willfully blinds herself into seeing only the good in Taka's reign and seeks to preserve it.
Touma (Monokid) is the fourth. Cruel, untamed, and of an unmatched physicality that makes him the perfect enforcer. Touma sees the world as his playground, and Taka's system has enabled him to live in it without stupid limiting rules and limitations, bullying and terrorizing all he sees fit.
Adamu (Monodam) is the final of the enforcers. Patient, unfeeling, brilliant. Adamu has no loyalty to the cause. Not anymore. Not after Taka's death exposed it for what it really is: a weak, imperfect vision of the future that will inevitably end in a fall. A vision that he will perfect and replace.
As for their V3 equivalents, the bunnies will be known as the something-chowa, still nothing concrete on these, but their names are: Masachowa, Nagichowa, Monachowa, Jatachowa, and Kotochowa. They're a bunch of rebellious kids that Usowa wants to whip into shape.
That's all from me now. More in-depth stuff will come out in a dedicated Demix 1/2 post I wanna make this coming August after art fight!

Hello! Do you know if there Is there a Milgram lore guide? I got into the music and I vaguely understand they're all in super jail but I see all this stuff recently about a recently released MV and I understand nothing. Thank u for ur consideration 🙇‍♂️
i dunno about a specific lore guide but i can give you a rundown!
Milgram is a prison built to punish those have taken a life, but their actions are not punishable by law/deal with a controversial societal topic. Each prisoner represents some different situation, often in pairs that foil each other (for example, prisoner 03 Fuuta's crime has to do with cyberbullying, while 04 Muu's has to do with regular bullying).
Milgram operates under a 3 trial system, and each trial, each prisoner will be interrogated (a voice drama featuring the prisoner and Es), a music video will be "extracted" from their memories, and then the audience (us) will vote whether to forgive them or not (also translated as innocent/guilty verdicts) (but you can only vote if you have twitter or LINE). I've assembled a playlist here of all the introduction videos, voice drama translations, and music videos in order (plus cover songs; theyre not strictly canon but give a fun insight on the character)
The number 1 thing to watch if you're confused would be this video. Jackalope is a funny little rabbit in charge of the prison, and only Es (the warden, also the audience stand-in) can hear him talk.
youtube
then there's Undercover, which was the first music video, and an introduction to all the characters. they all have a little line about them, and theres a lot of ominous shots of them in silhouette beating up Es, and some shots of what looks like each prisoner's life outside of milgram.
youtube
Undercover is especially relevant because the recent video that came out, Undercover: Route: Your Curtain Call, is a reprise of this, but... some things are different. I'll put this under a read-more for spoilers.
youtube
So. Haruka, Shidou, and Mahiru are missing.
some background: after trial 1 was concluded, Kotoko, whose whole story is about vigilante justice, attacked the prisoners who were voted guilty (except Amane, because attacking a 12-year old might be a step too far, especially since with what we learned in Deep Cover, Kotoko had a friend around Amane's age, or at least on the younger side. Maybe Amane reminds her of Lucky. Hmmm...). This confirmed that even though the prisoners can't attack Es, they can attack each other. Kotoko was pretty evenly matched by John, but she severely injured Mahiru and messed up Fuuta's right eye before being stopped by Kazui. Shidou, a doctor, told us in trial 2 that Mahiru's injuries were serious, and she could die if he wasn't around to treat them.
Someone, however, doesn't like Shidou. The religious group that Amane was raised in frowns upon medical treatment, believing that illness or injury is a trial from God and one should rely on faith to get through that. She views modern medicine, and indeed any help at all, to be in violation of this and therefore against the natural order of her religion. (She may have even been punished for violating this exact thing, as we see in her music videos. So she's very serious about this.) Therefore, she has a grudge against Shidou for being a doctor. Lots of current theories are that she is responsible for Shidou's disappearance/death in some way. That would also explain Mahiru's absence, because without Shidou there to treat her, she may have succumbed to her injuries. (It's also possible she killed herself, because she views us voting her guilty as Milgram rejecting her reason for living, her love. And she says she can't live without love.)
Haruka is a separate deal entirely. Sometime between trials 1 and 2, Haruka and Muu became close friends, relying on each other emotionally to a degree that is... let's say unusual. I'm not the expert on them. In his trial 2 interrogation, Haruka was angry at Es, but couldn't attack them directly; so, to disrupt the order of Milgram, he threatened to kill himself if Muu was voted guilty.
Tumblr media
...yeah.
Ultimately, we don't know precisely what happened to them, and we won't know until the third trial begins. But it doesn't look good.

When I first saw Kotoko the first thing I thought was "You're like me aren't you?". To me it was like he was always lugging around an invisible bodybag. Just what did you lose? What did you bury? Maybe it's projection but I still want to know.

I found some images of the Karatetsu collab interrogation answers, so here's a partial translation. If you have a reasonably high quality picture of any of the missing ones, I'd love to add it too!
The question for all of them is "Do you have any memories of karaoke?"
Yuno: I use it pretty often. I go sing with my friends and other stuff. Do you think you could make one here in the prison?
Fuuta: Right after I got into uni I used to go for welcoming parties and such, but I stopped going after a while.
Muu: I go sometimes. Though in my case I spend most of the time there just chatting with my friends.
Mahiru: It's got a wonderful "first date" kind of feeling, doesn't it? And it lets you learn the favorite songs of the person with you… What sort of music do you like?
Amane: No. I never went to one, so naturally I have no memories of it.
Kotoko: I used them pretty often. They've got the most convenient individual rooms, so I find them useful for having conversations you don't want overheard.
