Despite watching RT's entire Balatro series I still have no idea what is happening at all in that game but when someone else mentions that they play Balatro it's very fun to ask if they've watched dan's videos and either 1. look very horrified and whisper "that man scares me" or 2. say no they haven't, but then the next time I see them they just give me the most haunted look and I just know that they've witnessed acts of god beyond their comprehension

-as the heir of romance, aglaea understands the whims and passions of human beings better than anyone else, even in her old age. her soul may be scarce, but she aches no less for you as she cups your face and wipes the tears from your cheeks. she would not ask you to harden your heart, for the gift of affection and feeling is one of humanity's most precious qualities; however, she still feels sorry that someone like you could feel such pain.

-she reassures you that there's nothing wrong with your existence, simply that people can be cruel and careless. you would do well to respect yourself more, for you are the only person who can guard yourself against the senseless sorrows of life. she talks through your worries with equal understanding and rational thought, neither too coddling nor needlessly harsh. and you do feel much better by the time you've said all you needed to. if you want to hug her she's fine with that (i'm 100% sure she gives good hugs).

-she might offer to eliminate whoever hurt you--mostly kidding. she's not very good at joking when she says it in such a serious way, but she'd like if she could startle you into a laugh anyway.

“Yo! You made it.” He opens both arms, readying for a hug before pausing and blinking owlishly at you then letting one arm drop to opt for a more awkward— yet endearing —side hug. “Hi.”

He pulls back quickly, nibbling at the rim of his plastic cup as the peachy flush built on his cheekbones seems to deepen.

“I didn’t think you could fit this many people into your place. I’m impressed.” You grin brightly at him, nudging him gently with your shoulder. He takes a long sip, eyes flickering between you and the swaths of people crammed into the living room of his broom closet of an apartment.

“Yeah aha, I was surprised when you asked me to throw, n-not that I mind! I’d throw a hundred parties for…you.” He’s flails his hand around,

“Mark, what are you…? When did I ask you to throw?”

“Huh? Last month, at Jaehyun’s birthday party?”

“You thought I…Mark, I asked if you were having a party. I didn’t tell you to throw one.”

The confusion creasing his face is quickly swapped for a ripe mortification. One of your hands coming up to stifle a laugh threatening to escape at the sight of him going through a torrent of emotions.

“You didn’t?” Mark looks around in horror, the realization that he threw a party he didn’t need to and created a giant mess he’ll have to clean clearly dawning on him.

“Nope, I only asked too ‘cus Jungwoo wanted to know.” He throws his head back and sighs, before looking at you with an almost wounded puppy expression. “Thank you though.”

“Huh?” Again he blinks slowly at you, eyes wide and lips a bit pouty.

“For throwing this party for me, how ‘bout I stay after and help you clean up?” You can’t help but bring a hand up to pinch lightly at his cheek, grinning when his infamous dimples make their appearance.

“Nah, don’t worry about it.” Your heart drops a little, eyes flickering down to look at a stain setting in Mark’s cheap rug. He nudges you softly with his shoulder. “But I’d love it if you’d stay.”
