this is my stance rn too bc ive just accepted it's an AU, kinda like the FNaF movie so the parallels are there, but it's not necesarrily comparable if that makes sense?

like yeah you can compare them, but whats the point when the manga and adap are two seperate times and spaces??

there are still some things i dont like (K♤ cough cough), but like you said, it's pretty campy and fun. everytime i get back into my aib hyperfix, it's bc i watched the adap.

also, the adap does some things better, like the Kuina/L.B fight and dare i say the Q♡.

i dont think it can get any worse so let's just hope Doudou is there at the least😭

So I've been rewatching AIB recently, haven't seen it in a while. And I gotta say, despite my qualms and not looking at it through the rose-coloured glasses I wore when reading the manga, this show is so fun, I forgot how entertaining it is. Do I wish the story was better? Sure but its kinda campy and funny and sweet and heart wrenching.

Season 3 should honestly go all out on the silliness if I'm completely honest. I think the whole "characters surviving impossible odds" is so funny in retrospect that if they just leaned into that shit more it'd be really enjoyable and I couldn't seperate it from the manga.

Which is another reason I think I'm gonna love season 3 a ton. It probably won't be related to the manga and even if it is, the sequel wasn't particularly good so they can do whatever they want and it's gonna be so good in my eyes.
