L.U.C.K.Y | Burial
Characters: Subject 94, Subject 12, Doctor B
Summery: L.U.C.KY. au | no one knows what happened to the L.U.C.K.Y. Project
Warnings: character death

~
The air around the hallways was cold, singling to subject 94, that he was most likely alone for the moment. No warmth from the bodies of panicked staff. He wasn’t let out of his cage too often, so he was quite enjoying the calm stroll, if only the flashing red lights and sirens would quiet down. Being a man light on his feet, he made almost no sound of footsteps as he wandered.
Surly his doctor was with Suho. The man had managed to sweep the glasses wearing woman off her feet. Not that it mattered much to him. Patients using their charms to manipulate their doctors was more common than much of the staff noticed.
While 94 might be quiet himself, there seemed to be someone following him who was not quite as quiet. Turning a corner, Sehun waited until his stalker rounded, holding his breath.
As soon as the man came around the corner 94 let out his breath sharply, a gust of wind created that would surely knock any man off his feet.
Unless… that man was subject 12. Unmoved and unamused, 12 glared up at 94.
“Your breath stinks.”
94 stared down at the smaller man. It had been years since he'd seen him, and he'd heard from some of the other subjects that him and subject 99 had gone missing.
“It’s been how long since you’ve had that gag on, and now that it's finally gone, that’s what you have to say?” 94 sent 12 a small glare, turning back towards the way he was walking.
12 simply shrugged, following once more.
~
The two continued wandering the maze of the compound, still with no sign of any other people.
“Do you think… everyone else just left?” Sehun wondered.
“...perhaps.” 12 replied.
Sehun felt a lump in the back of his throat at the idea of being abandoned. Then he paused.
“Wait, i thought you had escaped with 99?” He asked. At first 12 didnt answer.
“...88 came for 99, and took him and a couple of the doctors to safety. He was supposed to come back for me but, I haven’t seen him. He hasn’t returned.”
“Shit.”
“Yeah, pretty much.”
After more wondering the compound, Sehun was beginning to get anxious.
The two stumbled upon the doctors areas, all still completely abandoned. The office rooms and the labs, lights only half turned off and papers scattered haphazardly. Samples still in microscopes and needles simply forgotten on the counters.
“Guess they really got out of here in a rush.” Sehun scoffed.
12 wandered to one desk in particular. He quickly recognized the neat handwriting on the notes. Doctor B. He glanced over the notes. Mostly, ideas on ways to persuade subject 04 and bragging about how well behaved he was.
Oh, you fool.
12 smirked, turning over one of the pages to find a profile on himself.
Oh you great fool. You only ever saw what you wanted to see.
12 was broken from his thoughts by a hand on his shoulder. Looking up, he made to shrug 94 off, when his gaze fell to a shaking young man in a lab coat just across from them, a gun in his hands.
“Well doc, you're the first other living person we’ve seen in a while.” 94 scowled at Doctor B.
“How the hell have you bastards done it?” Doctor B was clearly frazzled, the man’s eyes wild and his body shook with fear.
After all, 12 was standing before him, free.
“Done what? Got here? We walked.” 94 rolled his eyes.
“No you stupid animal-“ B was cut short as 12 stepped forward, complete terror flashing in his eyes. “DON'T YOU DARE STEP ANY CLOSER OR I'LL SHOOT YOU DEAD RIGHT HERE.”
“...okay.” 12 placed his hands in his pockets, staying in place. He picked up his foot, scratching at his ankle casually, before slamming it back down in a stomp.
94 braced himself on the table, doctor B however, had no such luck.
The man let out a blood curdling scream, as a great chasm split the floor, swallowing the young doctor whole. The earth sealed together once again, leaving half the room just slightly higher than the other which was now sloped down, tucked under the higher side.
“What an asshole.” 94 huffed, dusting himself off. The pair jumped as a horrible snapping sound was heard, and then a gushing sound of gas.
“We need to go. The structure isn’t stable anymore. I doubt it’ll collapse but any pipelines may be done for.” 12 began briskly walking out of the room.
“Well damn, i wonder why?” Sehun quickly followed.
Taking a turn from the doctors quarters, the pair came to a quick stop.
“Is that… is that the main entrance?” Sehun marveled.
12 didn’t hesitate in sprinting forward, the taller man hot on his heels.
When they arrived, they found the door blocked, unable to be opened.
“We’re underground, they must have gotten everyone out and then buried the exit.” 12 explained.
“Okay well, you bust them open, then.” Sehun replied. He let out a whistle, creating a small twister below his feet which held him aloft.
12 nodded, walking up to the door and breathing deeply. He planted his feet firmly, and placed his hands on the blocked door.
The entire compound shook. A chill ran down Sehun’s spine as he watched the walls begin to crumble. In slight fear of getting crushed, he floated closer to 12, waiting just behind him as the floor began to crack.
Gritting his teeth, 12 let out a hiss. He was relatively certain they had caused a cave in, something big enough and deep enough to bury anyone left behind. Including any bodies crushed in the tunnels. The doors cracked and bent, finally creating a pathway another maybe hundred feet. 12 fell to his knees for a moment, panting.
“You alright?” Sehun commented, still a little too worried to come down from his little twister.
“I just moved several dozen tons of rock without lifting a finger. Forgive me if i need a moment to catch my breath.” 12 snapped.
Sehun just shrugged, finally stepped down and letting the twister dissipate.
The pair walked down the tunnel, finally coming to a dead end. Before letting out a whine that they were trapped, Sehun felt something rustle his hair. Looking up, he saw a speck of light. A shaft up to the outside world.
“Finally, where i come in.” Sehun was about to propel himself upward, but 12 grabbed a hold on his shirt.
“Wait.” The man turned back and faced the way they came. The two could see the entrance to the compound. The one they had both been trapped in for years.
“This place, needs to stay buried.” 12 growled, letting his hand fall in a swift motion, causing a cave in in the hallway the pair had just been in.
“Ready now, dramatic?” Sehun flinched when 12 punched him in the arm.
“Let’s get out of this hell.”

L.U.C.K.Y. | breakout
pairing: Chanyeol x doctor! reader
summery: L.U.C.K.Y. au | things began quickly heating up after your interview with Subject 12.
warnings: fem reader
words: 1k
~
“Doctor!” you panted, skidding to a stop before Dr. X.
they raised a brow at you, waiting for what you had to say.
“i spoke with subject 12-” you began.
“Subject 12? Dr. B’s subject?” X questioned. you paused. it had been X’s idea that you go behind Dr. B’s back and interview subject 12. so why were they acting surprised now?
“i-i...” you stuttered in confusion. it was then you finally followed X’s eyes, seeing that their gaze was trained on a security camera. it wasn’t safe to talk here.
“well it’s a good thing you ran into me Dr. C. i have that paperwork you requested.” X began, handing over a few files.
upon moving the top folder aside, you saw a quickly scribbled note.
‘94 has escaped, Dr. S. is missing, i would advise you to send 21 after 94 before someone finds him.’ you glanced back up at X where they held you gaze, nodding to you.
“oh, i’m glad you mentioned that. i- uh- wanted to hand you those notes you requested.” you scrambled to write a quick note at the bottom of the notes you had taken during 12′s interview. clumsily handing it over to X.
they scanned the document quickly before nodding.
“i see, i will speak with 99 emedeatly.” you breathed a sigh of relief. this was short lived however, as you quickly realized what this meant.
94 was loose, if L.U.C.K.Y. found him before one of you did, he’d be terminated. it was then, another idea dawned on you.
“before you go doctor,” X halted a moment as they had begun to walk away. “has anyone other than Dr. B. seen or spoken to subject 04 in the past day?” you wondered.
Dr. X. froze.
“that, that is a good question.” they replied. “if i may, i would advise you to perhaps, inquire of subject 61 if perhaps he would know.”
you bit your lip. X spoke often in more cryptic ways anyway, but with this odd code you had to communicate in they were only harder to understand. however, you had a sneaking suspicion that you were correct, and that 04 had also managed to escape, instead casting illusions to fool Dr. B.
picking up your pace, you dashed towards subject 61′s cell.
~
you found him pacing, as usual. 61 hated to stay still, he always had to be moving. he was kept in a cooled cell, much to his discomfort, but the cold made him sluggish and easier to control.
from the moment you stepped into the cell, 61 was tugging at the chain around his neck.
“what’s going on out there Doc!” he demanded.
“woah, hey, calm down. it’s alright.” you tried to help the wild man relax. he only growled low in his throat.
“somethings wrong. somethings going on. what are you planning? what haven’t you told me!” his large frame advanced towards you but was stopped by the collar he wore.
“Chanyeol, please!” you finally cracked.
subject 61 paused. stepping back he lowered his head in submission, gumbling angrily to himself.
“something’s wrong, something’s wrong, i’m sorry i just-” you reached up to rest your hand on the shoulder of the distraught man.
“you’re worried. i know, it’s okay. i promise, everything’s gunna be okay.” you soothed, gently running your hand over his arm.
“nothing is okay in this circle of hell.” he growled. you hushed him.
“now now, what if i told you we'd be out of here soon?” you grinned when he raised his head.
“promise?” you felt something in your heart sink. the way he looked at you, a moment ago he had been a rageful man, consumed by anger and fear. and now, he looked up at you with pleading eyes a hidden hope within him.
“i promise.” 61 let out a sigh as you pressed a delicate kiss to his cheek.
~
alarm bells blared, painting the hallways in a poisonous red. they were empty, most of the staff now on high alert, all of the guards gathered to block every exit. no one was leaving this bunker.
Chanyeol’s grip on your hand tightened as he looked around, paranoid someone might find you.
“Chen says we have 72 hours, before this place blows sky high.” you swipe the message away on your watch.
“they’ll still try and catch everyone in that time.” Chanyeol growls.
“that’s true, but 99 and 12 have already disappeared.” you replied. the tall man beside you only huffed.
“doesn’t matter even if they did get out. you think they didn’t implant us with shit to kill us if we got away?” he grimused.
“you’re right. they show up now as ‘terminated’. but, when did a terminated subject ever wind up dead?” you mused. he paused, a look of shock on his face.
“do you mean,”
“i don’t know. maybe. Dr. X and Dr. Z seem to think so.” you shrugged.
“aw~ look at the cute little couple~” Chanyeol whirled around at the third voice, dropping your hand as his skin rapidly heated. flames danced on his fingertips as he prepared to attack whoever had spoken.
“jesus christ matchbox calm your tits.” you breathed a sigh of relief as Subject 04, Baekhyun, stepped around the corner.
“you’re alive-” Chanyeol dropped his hand, flames dying. he had approached the smaller man in only a handful of strides and had scooped him up in his arms.
“you goddamn dumbass- what the fuck!” Baekhyun only replied to Chanyeol’s outburst with a giggle, face hidden in the taller man’s shoulder.
“hey Doctor, any luck with breaking us out?” 04 turned to you when 61 finally released him.
“not really... that’s more of X and Z’s jobs... it’s just my priority to keep you safe, and away from B.” Baekhyun flinched at the name of his doctor.
“right, well, where’s safe?” he asked.
“21?” Chanyeol guessed.
“bingo. you three together could fry anyone who came near us.” you nodded at Baekhyun’s laugh.
“unless we get terminated first.” Chanyeol muttered.
“oh, don’t be so grim! cummon, your little lady knows this bunker like the back of her hand, we’ll stay out of sight easy!” Baekhyun skipped right up to you, linking his own arm with yours. “now Doctor, we’re off!”

L.U.C.K.Y. | Mirage
pairing: Baekhyun x doctor! reader
summery: L.U.C.K.Y au | the same old same old. over and over again, everyday seemed the same since you’d began work there. maybe you were to used to the routine that things began to slip from your judgement.
warnings: tecnically male reader, but pronouns aren’t used.
words: 1k
~
the click of your pen brought a smile to your face. admittedly the feeling of going round and round in this place can get a little boring, but at least you could always fall back into the same pace as usual.
you glanced down at your notes, before squaring your shoulders and scanning your nametag, the door to your Subject’s cell opening.
he slowly raised his head as you entered, eyes following you like a hawk. you whistled absentmindedly as you walked, placing your paperwork down, and beginning the same routine.
Subject 12 was still as you finished up. his muscles flexed in his binds. he watched you with a gaze that dripped poison. you tisked as you wrote the last of your notes.
“don’t glare at me like that, you brought this on yourself.” you smirked. Subject 12′s knuckles turned white, never moving his eyes from yours.
“what’s wrong?” you taunted. “cat got your tongue?” you flicked at the heavy mask that covered the bottom of subject 12′s face, rendering him completely mute. he didn’t try to struggle, just continued to glare at you.
you knew his game by now. he wouldn't lash out. he’s to pacent for that. he’ll wait until someone makes a mistake, and then he’ll attack. that’s why you don’t let anyone near him. you can’t have him getting out of those restraints, can't risk someone else making even the smallest of mistakes.
“glare all you want buddy, we both know how this ends.” you gathered up your papers, flashing a triumphant grin over your shoulder, before leaving subject 12 in complete darkness.
~
“hey B.B.~” Subject 04 purred, tugging at the chain around his left wrist. “won’t you let a guy get some fresh air?” he batted his lashes at you.
you chuckled at the flirty man’s antics, quirking a brow at him.
“it seemed Doctor X. and Doctor C. think you got enough fresh air yesterday.” you commented, pulling out a fresh piece of paper.
“what doya mean?” 04 whinned, continuing to pick at the chain around his wrist.
“you were witness to what happened between Subject 61 and Subject 99.” you began. “can you recount what happened for me?” you flashed the man a smile, clicking your pen and making yourself comfortable.
“ah, that little... scuffle.” 04 tapped his chin, thinking for a moment. “and, what do i get if i tell~”
“you get to not be shocked.” you didn’t even bother to look up from your notes. 04 fell silent at your threat, continuing to tug at the chain. “you can keep trying, if you arn’t careful, it will go off-”
your second threat was interrupted by a shriek from subject 04. the muscles in his left arm contracted, his face scrunched up at the painful current pumped into his arm. he whimpered when it finally went away, pulling his body into a small ball.
“well, i did try to tell you.” you clicked your pen once more, looking expectantly at the man curled up on the floor.
“...you drive a hard bargain Doctor, but i guess i’ll spill.” 04 swallowed hard, before turning to you, the playful glint back in his eye.
you quirked a brow at him expectantly.
“you see, that hot headed giant, is pretty easy to piss off, that's well known. anyway, he’s minding his own business, when snow queen scoffs at him. i can’t remember exactly what he was talking about, but he called hot head impulsive. which, is true. but anyway, hot head gets a little, heated at being roasted like that,” 04 pauses a moment to snicker to himself.
you move to reach for the button that controls the electrical shock in his cuff.
“WAIT! wait- okay, anyway, so before hot head even lunges at him, snow queen is already charging him. being the good, cooperative person i am, that was when i signalled for the guards. i was able to talk down hot head, while snow queen is kicking and screaming against the guards. until they stuck him that is.” 04 finally finished the story, looking at you expectantly.
you clicked your pen, taking a moment to reread your notes.
“everything, check out B.B.?” 04 cranes his neck to try and make eye contact with you. closing your notes with a snap that causes 04 to jump, you stand to your feet.
“lovely. thank you for your cooperation 04.” the Subject’s face drops at your words. most of the subjects hated being referred to by their numbers, but it didn’t really matter.
“uh, hey Doctor, if that's all, could i make a request?” just as you are turning away, 04 speaks up. you let out a hum to show you are listening. “could you tell me... is that sheep still around?”
“you are referring to Subject 10.” you clarified. in your time spent as 04′s doctor, you had become used to his nicknames for everyone.
“...yeah.” he confirmed.
“no. he was terminated two hours ago. notices were just sent out.” you answered.
“t-terminated? why?” you rolled your eyes at the fear and heartbreak in 04′s voice.
“that’s classified.” you shrugged, stepping out of his cell, and locking the door behind you.
~
“Doctor B.” you raised your head at the level feminine voice that spoke.
“yes?” you looked up from your laptop to spy Doctor S. she stood just to the side of your desk, tablet held to her chest.
“did you get the notice about Subject 10′s termination?” she asked. you nodded in reply. “do you know if they released the reason? or if the subject is being sent to autopsy?”
“i’m afraid i don’t know.” you replied, glancing up at the frowning woman.
“they didn’t send out any other information?” she pulled out her tablet, pushing her glasses further up her nose and tapping a few things.
“i believe everything else is level 5 clearance.” you shrugged.
“i see.” her voice was still confused, but she quickly moved on. “thank you Doctor.”
“oh, before you go, would you mind handing off some copies of my notes to Doctor X. and Doctor C.? my shift is almost up and i still need to type up my report.” you offered the woman a smile as you handed her the two copies.
“...of course.” she replied dryly.
“thank you so much, i really appreciate it.” you nodded to her, before turning back to your work and dismissing the woman.

L.U.C.K.Y. | now you see me
pairing: kai x doctor! reader
summery: L.U.C.K.Y. au | you had been part of Project L.U.C.K.Y. longer then any other doctor, and you had known the subject’s mistreatment. still, it amazed you how even after all the horrible things done to him, subject 88, still melted into your arms.
warnings: gender neutral reader, some gore?
words: 1.6k
note: so this took a bit longer to get out, bc, GUESS WHO GOT TICKETS TO SEE SUPER M HELLS YEAH
~
when once you hands shook as you opened the door to his cell, you now felt no anxiety. you no longer feared the man, but rather the company you were employed by.
Subject 88, the only remaining subject you were assigned. sometimes you wonder how long you had been here, how long it had only been the two of you. how long it would be before they killed another.
the notice had been sent out late that evening, right as you came in for your shift. Subject 10 had been terminated. the reason? classified.
you stared at the file in your hands, blank look on your face. slowly raising your head, you met Doctor X’s eyes.
“who was Subject 13?” they asked. their voice level, monotone. while Dr. X was not your friend, you couldn’t help the twinge of pain you felt for them. to lose a subject was, depending on the doctor, incredibly heartbreaking.
so much hard work, down the drain.
“to put it simply, he was impossible.” you finally replied.
~
Subject 88 kneeled, head low, alone in the dark room. his breathing steady, but heavy as the poison weighed down his limbs. or maybe it was the chains pierced through his flesh.
he remembered each one, how he'd broken the surface level ones. how much deeper they had to pierce him. now the metal was wrapped around his ligaments, embedded in his bones and clicked into place. he remembered how they had to be cleaned, the dead skin and dried blood gently removed everyday.
he remembered the pain as they shoved the large needles through his palms, the rings and chains following, anchoring him. stealing away his freedom. his eyes wandered down to his hands, the large metal stud glinting back at him in the near darkness. turning over to look at the back of his hand, was where the end left his hand, the skin having long since grown around, sealing his flesh with the metal through his skin. the end attached to the chain. he couldn't see where the chains lead, he only knew where they stopped.
when he couldn’t move anymore, or they would try to rip back though his body. he remembered exactly how many he had. 20 places. 20 places where they had stabbed him, anchored him. unable to move without their permission.
unable to leave.
88 lifted his head at the sound of the locks on the door retracting. closing his eyes, he felt the light on his face, the slight warmth on his skin was pleasent. he let out a sigh, and opened his eyes.
~
“hello Kai.” your voice was sweet and gentle as you wandered up to the kneeling man. Dr. X remained by the door, watching, untrusting. you paid them little mind, as you wandered right up to your subject. “can you look at me please?”
88 raised his head blinking in the brightness, but his eyes finally focused on yours. he let out a sigh, but offered you his attention. you smiled softly at the man’s face. gently reaching to brush some of the hair from his eyes, you cupped his cheek. your subject immediately leaning into your touch.
Dr. X remained silent throughout this exchange until this moment.
“can he understand you?” they asked. you smiled and chuckled at their question, raising to your feet. 88’s head followed your hand until you stepped too far away.
“yes. he understands much more then the records say.” you clarified. “i’m sure you’ve read his profile. and it’s true, he cannot speak, nevermind read or write. but, that doesn't mean he cannot communicate or understand.”
you began to walk to the side of the room, to retrieve the supplies you needed.
“go ahead,” to tasued over your shoulder, sending Dr. X a grin. “talk to him.”
they hesitated a moment before stepping closer to subject 88.
“hello.” they began. 88′s eyes moved from your body to the doctor before him. he blinked, scanning X from head to toe. you smirked when Dr. X jumped slightly at the tapping sound 88 made. he knocked the chain attached to his right hand on the floor, twice.
“he says ‘positive’ thats good. basically, he said hello back.” you translated. Dr. X looked curious and a little surprised.
“why isn’t it in his profile that he is capable and intelleigent enough to comunicate?” they immediately turned to you. you flinched and X jumped again as 88 let out a resounding single BANG with the chain attached to his left hand.
“he said ‘negative’ or, a very angry no. he doesn’t want them to know, so i never reported it.” you reply. 88′s shoulders relax, and his eyes follow back to your figure as you walk back towards the two.
“i see.” Dr. X fell silent again.
“you are here because you want answers about subject 10.” you spoke to the doctor, even with your back to them. leaning down, you gently sat before your subject, holding out your hand to him. he placed his palm in yours, and let you gently began applying the cream to his skin, around the punctured areas.
Dr. X remained silent, but you knew it was their way of confirming.
“because i’m the only other doctor around who has had a subject terminated.” you sighed. 88′s fingers gently curled around your hand. you knew the action was painful for him, but it was a small way he had sensed your sadness and wished to relieve it.
“Subject 13 was terminated about two days after you were hired. he was the last of 3 subjects who were terminated that year, and one doctor who was fired.” you began. “13 was also believed to be incapable of an intelligence high enough to communicate properly. however, what the records state, is false.”
“everything i could find about him stated he was stunted, the mind of a child. unable of even making sounds beyond whining or crying.” Dr. X relayed.
“of course, the records leave off, how much he loved to laugh.” you muttered bitterly. “13 was far smarter than he ever got credit for. he fooled all of my superiors and most of his doctors. however, i gained his trust enough.” you made a small cooing sound as you gently moved 88′s body so you could attend to the piercings on his ribcage. he let out a hiss of pain, but gently rested his head on your shoulder.
“13′s gift, was that of precognition. he knew when he met me, he could trust me.” you smiled, thinking back of the young man you had lost.
“but, that wouldn’t make any sence. in his file it’s said that he was terminated for a failed escape atempt. if he knew he would fail why would he try to escape.” Dr. X pondered. you chuckled at their words.
“you’re right, that doesn’t add up. but, do you know what happens when a subject is terminated? have you ever found an autopsy report?” you turned your head to look at them.
Dr. X was silent again. of course they hadn’t, there were none.
“what do you know of Dr. W?” you asked.
“he was fired before i even began working here.” Dr. X replied.
“correct.” you gently removed 88′s head from your shoulder, standing. “and do you know what happens to Doctors who are fired?”
“they dissapear.” X responded. you smirked at them, returning to the side of the room to put away the cream. “why did you refure to Subject 88 as ‘Kai’?” you paused at X’s sudden question.
“because, that’s what i named him.” you replied honestly.
“you named him? are you mad? if anyone found out,” you held up a hand at X’s immediate protest.
“Kai and i have a deal. not unlike the one you have with 99.” you smirked as X’s eyes widdened. “oh don’t be so shocked, all the Subject’s know about it. whispers travel quickly. and i can promise you, most of them have similar ones with their doctors.” you explained.
“however, there are two subjects who are not so lucky. 12, and 04.” you continued.
“Dr. B’s subjects.” X’s clarified.
“yes. and depending on Dr. S’s behavyor, subjects 94 and 01 possibly as well.” you continued. “these four, are not being treated as they should. especially not 12. he needs help.”
“what are you saying?” X’s raised a brow as you returned to stand before them.
“what i’m saying is, you want 10 back. don’t try and deny it. but i think we both know,” you glaced down at 88. “this is not where they belong. any of them.”
“...you want a jail break.” X’s deadpanned.
“you could say that. i want, a revolution. justice for these people.” you took another step towards X. “and i know, you see them as people too.”
“this is going to get everyone killed.” X stepped back, watching you with mistrust.
“and we're all going to die anyway.” you replied.
“you’re insane.” X’s shook their head. you both jumped this time at the single loud BANG from 88.
“i don’t care if you dissagree. what’s better? living here or dying in vein?” X’s voice was sharp as a knife as they addressed 88.
he stared at them. holding their hard glare. he did not flinch, did not look away. he simply tapped his chain on the ground, gentler this time, making two tapping sounds.
X’s sighed, rubbing their temples.
“if you are with us, i will show you 13. and he, can show you 10.” you smiled.
“10 is d-” you quickly cut them off.
“are you sure?” you grinned when X hesitated. “surely you, of all the doctors in this place, know that nothing is as it seems.”

fiddling with your name tag, you traced over the single letter you had been assigned as a name. ‘Dr. C.’ it read. chewing on your lip, you prayed you wouldn’t be found out.
if Dr. B. found you, not quite braking in but, sneaking around behind his back to see his subject, he would absolutely throw a fit.
however, you couldn’t get the thought of Subject 12 out of your head. he was considered one of the most dangerous subjects. yet, very little about him was contained in his file. Dr. B. hardly ever brought up the subject, and when he did it was only to boast about how well he had contained him.
but, the doctors jobs were not only to contain their subjects, but to understand them. you were confident subject 04 had Dr. B. completely fooled as to his gifts. both subject 61 and subject 99 had eye witness accounts of 04′s newly developed ability to cause hallucinations and illusions.
rather then taking this information and finding out how 04 has developed this, it seemed 04 had Dr. B. living in an illusion. and, 04 is one of the more harmless subjects... where as 12, is one of the most dangerous.
~
subject 12 raised his head slowly as you opened the door. swallowing hard, you began to walk towards him. the mask he wears over his mouth rendered him unable to speak, however he was known by reputation to be highly intelligent.
clearing your throat, you approached him, and spoke.
“hello, i am Doctor C. i wanted to know if i could ask you a few questions, in Doctor B’s absence.”
12 stared at you, a cold, chilling glare of blank calculation. a moment later, he nodded.
trying to be as careful as possible, you removed the bindings around his wrists, allowing him enough hand movement to write his answers. and with this, you began.
“how many hours a day are you kept in his chair?”
‘24 hours’
oh heavens, how does he eat? a feeding tube? how cruel, he isn't recorded to have done any physical harm to anyone beyond self defense.
“how often does Dr. B. interview you?”
‘he doesn’t’
that's against protocol. you are expected to interview your subjects at least once a week to gauge their mental state.
“how often are you allowed to engage with other subjects?”
‘i’m not.’
that isn't surprising, while most of the subjects are allowed some sociazing time, others are kept in solitary, but that usually only until they are fit to be able to engage with the others.
taking a deep breath, you prepared yourself for your last question. a request from doctor X.
“what did Subject 13 tell you before he was terminated?”
12 blinked at you blankly again, setting down his pen for a moment. you waited, worried he may not answer you this time.
slowly, 12 began to write. you watched his hand carefully making out the words as he traced them neatly onto the paper.
‘he told me how much time i have left here.’
while going to speak again, you noticed that 12 continued to write.
‘what day is it?’
glancing to the top of your notepad, as you had already forgotten the date.
“today is December 10th.” you answered.
12′s eyes crinkled, almost as though he were smiling under that mask.
‘you have 3 days.’
reading this, caused a sinking feeling in your gut. three days until what? until 12 was terminated? there had been no news, then again, they had terminated subject 10 with no warning.
“three days...” you repeated. jumping, you looked down to see that subject 12′s pen had rolled onto the floor, making a “TINK” sound.
“December 13th-” your eyes widened as something dawned on you.
subject 12 watched you like a hawk as you stood, gathering your things in a hurry. just as you were about to head out the door, you turned over your shoulder to look at the man.
“i’ll tell Z, they’ll send 99. i promise.” and with that, you scurried off.

L.U.C.K.Y. | unforgiven
pairing: Kris x doctor! reader
summery: L.U.C.K.Y. au | a hidden file on Subject 76
warnings: male reader, violence
words: 557
~
“That’s enough.” the deep growling voice of subject 76 entered the room. he faced off against subject 42, bristling angrily.
“leave him alone.” 76 warned again, taking another step towards your crumpled form. 42 simply scoffed.
“please, don’t waste your time defending him. he deserves every bit of pain, every broken bone. he’s a coward.” 42 hissed.
76 growled low once again. he had placed himself between you and the man who had attacked you. lacking the strength to crawl away, you simply lay there helpless, trying not to whimper from the intense pain of your broken leg.
“you are the coward Luhan,” 76 taunted. “you are the one who lay there, the one who didn’t protest. how can you expect better from them if you never raised a complaint. you just lay there, still, taking it and quietly planning your revenge.”
42 bristled, fits clentching at these acusations.
“you bastard.” you gasped as subject 42′s finger twitched, sending a chair hurling through the air right for subject 76.
76 acted quickly, scooping you up in his arms and leaping into the air. your good arm shook as you clutched onto the front of the man’s shirt eye just barely peeking over his shoulder.
he guided you down softly, floating until his feet touched the floor, gently placing you on the ground outside the broken door.
“it’s alright Doctor, you’ll be safe out here.” 76′s eyes were hard and angry, but his touch was gentle as you hissed from the pain.
“i-i’m so ss-sorry,” you cried, clutching onto his sleeves. he leaned down and shushed you softly, shaking his head.
“now isn’t the time. i just saved your life, i’ll decide whether or not to accept your apology later.” he clenched his jaw hard and stood above you.
you felt small, helpless, and so very, very frightened. you had never wanted to cause your subjects pain. you were simply too frightened of your superiors to stop them. and... maybe just a little too curious to see what would happen.
“Kris!” you jumped at the shout from inside the room.
“get out!” 76′s eyes filled with panic as he rose off the floor. before he could float away however, some invisible force seemed to take him by his arm, dragging him back into the room.
you shouted for him, but the once destroyed doors were shoved back into place and braced with metal.
sobbing, you tried to crawl away, tried to block out the sounds of yelling, shouting, and blood curdling screams coming from inside the room.
had it been worth it? always a curious man, when the prospects of studying these people with these extraordinary abilities fell into your lap, you had pounced on it. now however, with your leg broken and your arm still dislocated, surton only one of your subjects would walk out of that room alive, you wondered.
every file you had ever found in L.U.C.K.Y’s facilities had been top secret, no one was to know about anything going on. you weren’t government funded, as surely what went on here wasn’t government approved. therefore, you were a private organization... so... what was L.U.C.K.Y. doing with what they were learning. and... you had never bothered to ask so, you didn’t even know where your ‘Subjects’ came from...?

L.U.C.K.Y. | Undertow
pairing: Suho x doctor! reader
summery: L.U.C.K.Y. au | you had worked hard for your position. yet, even with your stiff back and professional attitude, he had somehow found his way into your dreams. he was perfect, beautiful. maybe, in another life, things could be different.
warnings: glasses wearing female reader
words: 1.4k
~
noting the emptiness of Doctor X’s desk, you decided to leave the notes Doctor B. had given you on top for X. to find later. you sighed, making your way to Dr. C’s desk instead. you were not thrilled at Dr. B. expecting you to do his work.
regardless, you finally passed by Dr. C’s desk, where she sat, hunched over and typing quickly.
“excuse me,” you cleared your throat. the young woman jumped, but quickly turned and offer you a smile.
“oh! hello, i’m sorry i didn’t see you.” her voice was friendly, atho a little nervous.
“hello. Dr. B. requested i bring you this.” you handed her the paper. she took it from you with thanks, glancing over it. “i already left the other copy on Dr. X’s desk.”
“oh, lovely! thank you so much, you didn’t have to but i do appreciate you saving me the trip.” her friendly smile and thankful words were unsupring from the young woman. you simply nodded to her politely.
“it wasn’t any trouble. you’re welcome.” you smiled politely, before turning and taking your leave.
~
you had an evening check with Subject 01, and then you were cleared to head home for the day. out of the other doctors, both of your subjects were rather tame. 94 could be difficult if he’s provoked, but since you became his doctor his temperament has become rather mellow.
you adjusted your glasses, before entering 01′s cell. he sat on his bed, brows furrowed as he concentrated, the sounds of the pencil lead on the page of his small journal filling the room.
you cleaned your throat, and his head rose.
“good evening Doctor.” 01 smiled kindly, setting down his pencil.
“yes, hello. let’s begin hm.” you set down your tablet, pulling up your notes and rolling up your sleeves.
Subject 01 was smart. he was clever, charming when he wanted to be. and... you’d be lying to say he wasn’t handsome. you were of course, a professional. you had no room to let your fingers linger on his smooth skin, to let your eyes wander over his face.
you scolded yourself horribly when you let your hands linger when checking his heartbeat. your stethoscope pressed to his bare chest, his shirt hiked up just a bit more than you needed. he was just, he was beautiful.
“everything alright miss?” 01′s voice pulled you from your thoughts. “you’re even quieter than usual.” his voice was kind as he watched you typing your notes.
“yes, you don’t need to worry. all your stats are normal.” you replied.
“miss, i mean, are you alright?” 01′s kind eyes meet yours as you look up to find him beside you. startled by his close proximity, you flinch away. his smile wavers, holding his hands out. “i’m sorry.”
“no, it’s okay you just,” you shake your head, pushing your glasses back into place. “you just surprised me.” you tucked a bit of your hair behind your ear, and turned back to your tablet.
“what is it that has you so on edge?” 01 asked. he moved to inch closer again, but the chain around his ankle pulled him back. you gaze dropped back to your feet.
“...a Subject was terminated today, and i can’t seem to find anyone who knows why.” you finally answered.
“terminated,” he repeated, a look of horror on his face. “who?”
“subject 10. he was Doctor X’s subject.” you replied. you knew you probably shouldn’t be telling him this but, you had such a hard time keeping things from him. from that beautiful smile. how his hair would fall in his face, the gentleness of his fingers.
01 sighs, gently pushing some of his hair out of his eyes. “they might... they might not have a reason.” he muttered.
“that’s ridiculous. i’m sure it’s just classified information.” you brushed off. “i may ask Dr. X. if they have the information from an autopsy tomorrow.” you felt a sting of guilt as 01 flintched when you talked about performing an autopsy on subject 10.
he looked down sadly, shaking his head for a moment before speaking. “i shouldn’t be surprised. you and the other doctors, you only see us as ‘your subjects’.”
you bit your lip at his words. sometimes, you wished that were true. wished you didn’t see his face in your dreams. wished he was normal, a normal person you could have met. someone you could see outside of this place. someone whose skin you could touch without feeling like you were a traitor. someone who... you didn’t have to keep cannibalizing your emotions for.
“i’m sorry.” that was all you could bring yourself to say.
“what are you apologizing for?” 01′s fingers were gentle as he lifted your chin. you felt your breath catch as your eyes met his. you jumped as there was a horrible screeching sound and the lights went out.
in your surprise, you press yourself right into his arms, he tightened them around you, petting your hair as you calmed down. the room was nearly pitch black, and you couldn’t hear anything beyond the pair of you breathing.
“what was-” your voice was cut off by a pair of lips on yours. you were stunned into stiffness at first, but when you tried to move to pull away, your body would not obey you.
his lips were soft, his hands gentle as one cradled your head, the other pressing on your back, pulling you closer to him. he was warm, he smelled like the ocean breeze. and you nearly lost yourself in the feeling of his tongue playing with yours.
that was, until you realized you were the one moving. your head moved to follow him, your body leaning to follow his, but you were not the one controlling it.
you were so caught up in kissing him, something you had been wanting to do for ages, you were barly aware you hadn’t done it. you body, quite literally, moved without your permission. it felt fluid, natural, but your mind was screaming that this wasn’t you. you weren’t doing this. you felt when your hand slipped beneath his shirt, you felt the warm skin under your palms. but you hadn’t moved it.
a sense of panic began to set it. you we’re not in control of yourself. who was controlling you? who’s puppet were you? it wasn’t until he broke away from your lips, and air rushed back into your lungs, that the possibility dawned on you.
“i hope you will forgive me, but i knew you wouldn’t do it on your own.” his voice was nearly a whisper, his breath soft on your face. in a rush your control came flooding back and you stumbled away from him.
“what- how did you-” you mind still wheeled with panic; he must have done something. controlled you some how. he just smiled softly at you, taking a few steps back in the darkness.
“the human body is 60% water you know.” you had never heard his voice purr in such a way. “you needn’t be frightened miss. i have no reason to hurt you.”
“this- but how can- did you manipulate-” your reeling mind was cut off again.
“how about a deal. i will continue to demonstrate this ability in tests for you to document.” 01 began, you heard him shuffle back to sit on his bed. “and in return, you stay at my doctor.”
it took you a moment to process his words. with the darkness in the room you can assume the power was cut off, meaning the camera’s are out. so there was no evidence of this instance. if you explain what happened, that subject 01 kissed you, you would be at the least removed as his doctor, and at the worst, removed from L.U.C.K.Y. all together.
but if you stayed. you investigated his new ability to control people, you would be greatly praised by your superiors. but, what did he get out of this. protection. if he can control you once, you were sure he could do it again.
even still, you can’t help the lingering memory of his lips on yours. the taste of him. his skin under your hands. you ached to feel it again, to feel him.
“you have a deal.” you jumped again as the lights flashed back on, squinting at the sudden brightness. but you could see enough to see the pleased smile on subject 01′s face.

Can I request 3 and 6 with Xiumin/Minseok? Thank you ♥️
The L.U.C.K.Y Project
spell book
“are you a coffee or tea person?”
you clutched your clip board tighter, the flirty lab assistant leaning on the desk again, in an attempts to convince you into going on a date with her.
“i’m afraid i have to get back to work.” you dismissed her, barely glancing up from your clipboard.
“oh, uhm… of course.” she nodded, letting her head drop and returning to her seat.
you turned away and brinkley walked out the door. reading your report, you quirked a brow.
it seems subject 99, your primary responsibility, had been moved to the medical ward. something about self inflicted injuries from fighting against his restraints. they had had to sedate him.
you quickly pushed open the door to the medical ward, glancing in the windows to find the familiar face. after talking breefly with that attending nurse, you pulled back his curtain.
there you found subject 99, laying in a pool of his own sweat. his eyes were closed, his jacket had been removed but his shirt stuck to his skin, the embroidered numbers of his identification tight on his collar.
you let out a soft sigh, glancing over the report the nurse had offered you. your eyes traced down his arms to see the bandages at his wrists, there were already tinting crimson.
you pulled at the bandages gently, observing the bleeding and cracked flesh. your brows furrowed, those were not rubbed raw by the restraints, the flesh was melted. like he had been burned.
you gently placed a hand over his forehead, flipping through to see if he had been reported to have a fever. the report showed normal body tempiture for a male of his size. this only caused you to worry further. had his files not been send over? subject 99’s internal body temperature was always far cooler then a normal person. the fact that he was at normal levels was remarkably concerning.
he let out a weak cough, pulling your eyes down from your clipboard.
“…how long have i been here?” his voice was weak as he looked up at you in confusion.
“about three hours.” you responded, placing your clipboard down and walking over to inspect his i.v. drip. “now, what you do to upset subject 61?”
99 was silent for a moment. subject 61 was much taller and bigger then 99, but more importantly, his abilities were well known. 61 had a variety of gifts, all hinging around fire. as for 99, he had been mainly successful at keeping his ability’s hidden. by choice of course. no matter the poking and prodding, your superiors had been unsuccessful at triggering him.
you however, had seen his gifts first hand. and you had made a deal.
“i called him out for being impulsive.” 99 confessed. you let out a chuckle, pulling a vile and needle from the cabinets.
“and on impulse, he burned you.” 99 nodded at your observation. “how did you fool the doctors?”
“04.” he replied. you hummed and nodded, filling the needle carefully. 04, primarily gifted with light manipulation. but, you had observed an evolution in his abilities, suspecting he had gained a gift at creating illusions. 99, had just helped to confirm your hypothesis.
“what’s… in that needle?” you could easily hear the hesitation in 99’s voice as you aproched his i.v. bag.
you looked down at him, pulling your cheeks up into a half smile. “sugar, spice, and everything nice, it’ll help you cool down again.” you replied, before injecting the red liquid into the clear, mixing to create streaks of pale pink.
“i’m going to have a word with 61 and 04. i’ll be back to check on your progress in one hour.” and with that, you turned, picked up your clipboard, and left.

L.U.C.K.Y. | Decade
pairing: Lay x doctor! reader
summary: L.U.C.K.Y au | after years of research you put into your work, and the amazing feats Subject 10 was capable of, your superiors didn’t value, not only your work, but the life of your Subject.
warnings: gender neutral reader, character death

notes: so, i hate to say this but i feel the need to. Lay has made some recent political statements i personally don’t agree with. however, regardless of them, i still wanted him to be a part of this story, as i feel the world of this au is at a great loss without him.
~
your fingers were beginning to cramp from the amount of typing you had done. they had given you two days notice. after all of the nights you’d spent, off the clock, desprity trying to show how foolish they were being. how much potential he had.
but it had all been pointless. they still wanted to pull the plug.
he had the potential to cure cancer, but they saw him as useless. just because he was “weak”. they were foolish.
the kindness of his voice and the gentleness of his nature was not a weakness, it was humanity. something they never saw their subjects as.
you let out a shaky breath, trying to blink away the intruding thoughts. no, these subjects were just that. it didn’t matter that they were men, they were to be the future. tools to end wars.
but you began to question your superiors. they didn’t want a healer on their battle field.
~
12 hours. that’s how much time you had before Subject 10 was terminated. you turned in your notes to the records department, blatantly ignoring the coworkers who tried to make small talk with you.
you briefly glanced at Subject 99’s discharge report from the medial wing. 99 would be fine, you have bigger problems to worry about.
in your brisk walk to Subject 10’s cell, you didn’t even register Doctor C.’s calling for you until she grabbed your wrist.
“hey!” you immediately wheeled around to face the woman. she looked a little disgruntled, and seemed to collapse in on herself at your glare.
“can i help you?” you voice was steady in its intimidation.
“uhm, i had hoped i could speak with you about what happened to Subject 99 yesterday.” the young woman straightened up, speaking more confidently to spite your glare.
“ah yes,” you looked down, pretending to flip through your papers for 99’s report. “you must be referring to where Subject 61,” you glanced up at the woman. “your responsibility, attacked 99.”
Doctor C. swallowed at your continued intimidation. you knew the young woman hated being talked down too, but for her treatment of your Subject, you couldn’t help but feel a bit petty.
“yes, that.” she took in a deep breath, but before she could speak you interrupted her.
“well i think we shouldn’t be surprised by Subject 61’s outbursts. he’s always been quite a bit to handle. but i do plan to bring up with Doctor B. about Subject 04’s involvement.” your voice was sharp.
“y-yes. i intent to ask him for his notes when he arrives.” C. nodded.
“lovely. i do hope you will pass them on to me after.” you pulled the sides of your mouth up into a tight lipped smile, not even bothering to match it with your eyes. “good day Doctor.” and with that, you briskly began your walk to Subject 10’s cell.
~
you scanned your name tag at the door before entering into Subject 10’s cell. the young man was already awake, gently flipping through the pages of a book.
you recalled him speaking about finally being able to read it. many of the Subjects were mostly illiterate, and while 10 still lacked the ability to write, he could now read and understand most of the story book. a child’s copy of Peter Pan.
the handsome young man smiled when he saw you. wishing you a good morning.
“you’re here earlier the usual.” he commented, calming walking up to you, extending his arm for you to take his vitals, same as every morning.
it’s true, you usually attended to Subject 99 first, as he was your main responsibility. you swallowed, you could not tell 10 of what your superiors planned to do to him.
“99 was just released from the medial wing. they took his stats before he left.” you stated. 10 frowned at your words.
“is he alright? shouldn’t you have gone to check on him?” 10’s concern for others was... something the people in this place didn’t deserve.
sometimes, even just calmly speaking with the man, you couldn’t help the guilt you felt that such a gentle soul had found themselves in a place like this.
“i am confident 99 is fine.” you reassured him, taking you stethoscope and pressing it to his chest. he breathed in and out deeply, just as he’d been taught to do.
you felt... some deep twinge of fear. the sound of his heart beating in your ears... was this your last chance to hear it...?
“Doctor... what’s wrong?” 10’s voice was soft and gentle, as always. his hands careful as they lowered yours from his chest.
you turned away from him quickly, placing the stethoscope back around your neck and jotting down your notes.
“i am perfectly fine. it is simply... another day.” you replied. 10’s lips curled into a soft smile.
“i see.” he walked back and took a seat on the small cot he had for a bed. “do you have a blood test for today?” he asked.
“no.” you bit your lip and cursed yourself for the wavering in your voice. 10 tilted his head like a curious cat.
“but it’s tuesday. you always take a blood sample on tuesdays.” he commented.
“...my superiors have...” your voice trailed off, words failing you.
“...it’s okay Doctor.” 10’s words were as sweet as usual. “i know.”
“pardon?” you inquired, finally turning to look at him. what you saw, was the kind, gentle smile on his lips, and tears glistening in his eyes.
“i know i’ll be terminated this evening.” his voice was quieter than usual.
“i- i beg your pardon.” you scrambled to collect yourself, but he simply smiled.
“i’ve known for a long time. don’t worry, no one snitched. i doubt any of the other doctors even know, but...” his gaze dropped to the floor. “an...old friend of mine let me know.”
you were silent. the Subjects had no friends other than each other. and even that kind of interaction was limited and heavily monitored.
“they called him 13. he was terminated a very long time ago.” 10’s voice was quiet, his eyes still glazed over.
you thought back. Subject 13 was terminated only a few days after you had joined the company. out of the other full time Doctors, you had been there the second longest. the senior doctor, was Doctor Z. their sole responsibility was Subject 88. but... you recalled reading something in the records... about a Subject 13.
“13 spoke to each of us before they killed him. i don’t know what he said to the others... but people say his doctor wasn’t ever the same after.” 10 finally looked up, small tears rolling down his cheeks. but... he still offered you a smile.
“he told you... when you were going to die?” you asked. 10 nodded, sniffling slightly and wiping his eyes on his sleeve.
“yes. he was the third Subject to be terminated. and, i’ll be the fourth.” his tone was grave, but he still took a shaky breath. standing, he turned to face you. “will you... will you please watch out for the others?”
your heart broke looking at him. even now, as he talked about dying, rather then trying to think of a way to escape, he was worried for the other Subjects.
“yes. i will find out why, why they do this.” you planted your feet firmly, clenching your fists. 10 smiled softly, gently wandering up to you.
“and Doctor... please don’t let this make you cold. i’ll be okay. go take care of 99. don’t worry about me. just... please, be happy.” you stared at the man, unsure of how to respond to his final plea.
“i...” your voice failed you, as you felt the tears well up in your eyes. 10 wasn’t just wasted potential, he wasn’t just a cure for cancer your superiors were taking away, he was a kind, gentle, selfless person. a human being.
this wasn’t just killing a lab rat. this was murder.
“you have my word. this will never happen again.” the power in your voice surprised even you.
10 smiled at your reply. “before you go, can you help me with something?”
“of course.” you immediately followed the young man, as he pulled out the story book.
“can you tell me what this word says?” his question was full of childlike curiosity.
“...neverland. it’s the name of the place.” you replied. 10 quirked a brow.
“but... how can it be called ‘never land’ if they have to land to walk on the ground?” he wondered. you couldn’t help the small chuckle.
“i don’t know. that’s a good question.”

he sighed deeply, eyes unfocused as he stared up at the fluorescent light. the room was pale, everywhere was stark white. looking down at his own arms, his skin seemed paler, as though the harsh lights were bleaching everything they touched.
his nails tapped on the table, a gentle smile on his lips as he listened to the little tune. it was a quick rhythm, but pleasant, like a child’s nursery rhyme.
raising his head, he quirked a brow at the doctor who sat across from him. they had been his primary companion. sometimes he wondered if they were in fact the only other person here, and the images of the other people locked in cages like his own were merely a dream. sometimes he wished it was a dream.
wished the needles didn’t sting, wished the metal wasn’t so cold, wished the lights weren’t so bright.
the doctor across from him spoke softly.
“will you draw for me?” they pushed a paper and pencil to him. he tilted his head to the side at their words. he had heard the sounds before, or at least similar ones, but he wasn’t solidly sure of their meaning.
the pencil was pleasant in his hands as he tilted the paper at an angle and beckon sketching. he loved to draw, although he greatly wished the doctor would bring him something more colorful than the plain graphite.
smiling absentmindedly, he began humming, taking little note of the stiffness in the doctor at hearing the tune. as they took out there pen and began scribbling notes quickly, he wondered if they were drawing to. he’d never seen any art that the doctor had made, but he would very much like to.
he let out a quiet giggle when he finally held up the paper, a smile of pride on his lips as he held it out to the doctor. his eyes scanned their face and the look of shock there. did they not like his work? sure, it was a little rushed, but he was quite pleased with it.
placing the paper back on the table, he traced the smudged outlines. it showed twelve faces, four of whom had x’s behind their eyes. he would have liked to do color it in red for contrast, but he was never given colors. over the mouths of each head, a different scene took place.
one man, who’s ears stuck out just a bit to much, had the silhouette of a man clutching his head, surrounded by flames. another, showed a man clawing at his throat, eyes rolled back, gasping for breath.
fondly, he traced the face of the twelfth man, a picture of himself. his eyes had the x’s behind them, and over his mouth, a wheel of turning gears, with numbers like a clock. he smudged over the eyes of the face staring back at him. it would be his turn soon.
the doctor carefully reached for the paper, and he moved away so they could study it. after a short moment, he tapped the top of the paper, dragging their attention back to him. he smiled, and held up his hands, displaying all of his fingers stretched out, before closing them into fists. he then lifted his left index, middle finger, and his thumb.
“thirteen.” the doctor mused as he finished this action. “but, there is only twelve here.” their gaze dropped back to the paper. he rolled his eyes, making an annoyed sound.
he stood out of his chair, stretching and letting out a groan. shaking his head, he ran his hands through his hair, before glancing back to look at the doctor. he pointed to the paper in their hands, then to his own eyes, and finally, he dragged his thumb across his throat.
the doctor’s eyes widened into saucers, causing a laugh to leave his lips. he shook his head and rolled his eyes, before flopping back down on his bed, letting his arm fall over his eyes. the doctor muttered something to themselves, before standing. he peeked out at them as they threw one last glance at him over their shoulder he held their gaze for a moment, before sticking out his tongue and making a humming sound.
the doctor quickly turned back and left his cell.
~
File, Subject 13
Subject 13 was unable to communicate. he was considered by his previous doctors to have one of the lowest IQs of all the subjects. while there were some claims of an him possessing an ability of precognition, nothing concrete was ever recorded.
Subject 13 attempted an escape two hours after this file was recorded, by smashing the lights in his cell and crawling up through the ceiling. he successfully caused a temporary power glitch, but was found not long after in subject 12′s cell.
When interviewed after the event, subject 12 stated that subject 13 had crawled into the room through the ceiling, and had spoken to him. subject 12 was deemed partially insane after this incident, as his doctor stated he must have been hearing voices.
Subject 13 was recorded as having no way to communicate other than by drawing childlike pictures. all records of these pictures are smudged beyond recognition and completely useless. after the escape attempt, subject 13 was immediately terminated, as this behavior showed he was too much trouble for what he was worth.

L.U.C.K.Y. | unleashed
pairing: Luhan x doctor! reader
summery: L.U.C.K.Y. au | a hidden file on Subject 42.
warnings: male reader, some gore
words: 566
~
“please- please don’t do this anymore-” you tried to choke down your fear, holding your hands out to try and protect your face.
“you are nothing but a coward. why would i listen to a cowardly little boy.” he scoffed. you yelped as he grabbed a fist full of your scalp. “listen here doc,”
another yelp fell from your lips as you were thrown up in the air by an unknown force. you were held, suspended in the air above him.
looking down, you saw your subject, 42. you had been a fool, but you didn’t see it until it was to late.
he had always been calm, unbothered by things. even during the most painful of tests, he kept the stoic face. he was beautiful, strong, and such a fascinating mystery. you didn’t mean to fall for him, and in that, he had to wrapped around his finger.
you whimpered at the tight feeling in your limbs, the ones keeping you suspended in the air. 42 simply tisked at your discomfort.
“you were so easy, i really couldn’t have asked for a better doctor. you were so shy, but so easy to charm. i’ve been waiting for this day. with ever needle they proded me with, every test you ran, i just pictured you, hanging up there, like the fucking usless doll that you are. crying out in pain.”
another sob left your lips as your limbs began pulling away from your body. 42 simply stood there, a sadistic smile on his face.
“i’ll make you pay, ‘Doctor W.’ for all the horrors you put me through. all the horrors you put all of us through!”
you felt a horrible clicking sound as your left shoulder dislocated. a scream of fear and pain falling from your lips. where was everyone, what was happening, why hadn’t anyone come to help you? why had you just, been abandoned.
could they even stop him?
“do you know what it feels like? to have someone drill into your skull, and prod your brain around with a toothpick? do you know what it feels like to have your scalp stapled back in place?” you began to hyperventilate as 42 tightened his invisible hold on your right leg, tugging it away from your body.
“do you know what it feels like? to be awake while you are dissected. to feel your organs removed and then stitched back into place? do you know how fucking painful it is to have airbubbles trapped until your skin, screaming to get out?” another scream ripped from your lungs as your right leg was broken.
“you were supposed to be my doctor, my caretaker, and you just let them cut me open like an eager high schooler with a scalpel in biology.” he growled.
“p-please-” you sobbed, shaking your head. “i’m sorry- i’m sorry- i’m-”
“are you? are you sorry for what you let them do to me? what they made me become? or are you just sorry that i broke your heart.”
you could see him grinning up at you through your tears.
“i think, you can’t stop me anymore.” 42′s hold on you left, your body crashing to the floor. you landed on your dislocated arm, your broken leg bending and the jagged bone slicing through flesh.
you remained there, still and sobbing quietly, barely regendering the sound of the door being blown open.

L.U.C.K.Y. | Scrutiny
pairing: Chen x doctor! reader
summery: L.U.C.K.Y. au | you had been working for the organization for nearly a year, and yet the only people who seemed to respect you were your assigned subjects.
warnings: fem reader
words: 1.1k
~
you let out a sign, placing the cream colored folder on your desk. Subject 61 had been acting out again, as usual, and while he was your responsibility, you had another subject you had to attend to. with 61 sedated and safe, you decided you would type up your report on the matter another time.
instead, you made your way out of the small office space, and began your walk towards subject 21′s cell. you keep your head down as you continue, the harsh words from your encounter with Dr. X. playing in your head.
you understood that life can be difficult, but you were simply trying to be professional. they had no reason to be so harsh with you. you tried to brush off the encounter, instead scanning your name tag and unlocking the first room of subject 21′s cell.
he had to be kept in a two part area. the first was a viewing room, with a one way mirror. the second was of course his actual cell. you took a moment to rummage around with the medical supplies in the first room.
Subject 21′s vitals, and other things were extremely hard to monitor, due to his gifts with controlling electricity. because of this, things like measuring his blood pressure, head rate, and temperature had to be done the old fashioned way.
with your supplies, you headed into his cell.
“morning doc.” Subject 21 greeted you, a playful smile on his face.
“hello.” you greeted him with a fake cheerfulness. of course, this didn’t fool him, but he made no comment. the rubberized floor of his cell bounced slightly as you walked to him, taking his arm and beginning to take his blood pressure.
you were careful of course, prodical with subject 21, was that he was to have no skin to skin contact with anyone.
the reason for this? well, you’d heard whispers from other staff, about how he turned his last doctor into a puppet. the running theory was he seduced him and manipulated him. you however, don’t think it’s that simple. your superiors had praised you for successfully proving subject 21′s abilities with electricity, including the ability to manipulate electrical pulses in the bodies, and brains of his victims.
you had mostly been testing him on small animals, but the glove policy with handling him had been implemented after you saw that he was unable to manipulate bigger specimens without touching them.
most didn’t believe he could control an actual person, but you thought better. many of the staff saw the subjects as, stupid, to put it bluntly. and your reputation was cemented after being asigned subject 61, who was commonly believed to be little more then an animal capable of basic speach. however, you shocked your peers when your superiors assigned you subject 21.
truth be told, you were more than happy with being assigned your two subjects. they each offered you a unique problem to be solved.
Subject 21 quirked a brow at you as you wrote the last of your notes, removing the thermometer from his mouth.
“what’s the schedule for today doc?” he leaned forward, flashing you a mischievous grin.
“well, a rather simply q&a session, and since i’ll have to do a report on 61, you may have the rest of the day for rec.” you responded, pulling out your notepad. “is it alright if you go straight into the q&a?”
“sure doc.” he grins, relaxing back on his cot and making himself comfortable.
~
you began you treck back to your desk after finishing your interview with subject 21. your intuition told you he was becoming more comfortable with you as his doctor, but with his past of manipulation, you tried not to dwell on the idea.
you tried very, very hard not to dwell on subject 21′s personality. he was incredibly intelligent, could articulate himself well, and was very intuitive. you sometimes worried, that as you studied him, he studied you. and that was the reason for his relaxing around you. it would be very, very dangerous for him to understand you as well as you understood him.
his casual use of calling you “doc” had begun to stick out. it was protocol that none of the doctors give out their names, instead with a random letter being assigned to them. but with 21 offering you the nickname, it was some evidence of his familiarity with you.
the way he answered your questions, was also evidence of this. cool and relaxed, lazy smile on his lips. he watched you closely as you would jot down notes for his answers. eyes moving from your hands writing, to your eyes as you spoke, to your frame moving to adjust your clothing or you push back some stray hair.
Subject 21 was your mystery. a race, to see if you could solve him, before he solved you.
~
luck was on your side, as on your way back you crossed paths with Doctor B. you quickened your pace to catch up with the young man.
“excuse me!” you called, he halted and turned, offering you a smile when he saw you.
“afternoon, Dr. C.” he politely greeted you, waiting for you to catch up.
“hello, do you have a moment? Dr. X. and i were curious if you had any notes regarding Subject 04′s involvement in the scuffle between Subject 99 and Subject 61?” your words were rushed as you caught your breath.
“04′s involvement? he was a witness, i can get his testimony on the matter if you’d like.” Dr. B. looked a little surprised by your interest in his subject.
“he had no interaction regarding the dispute?” you were taken aback by this. 04 was the only other subject present when the argument between 61 and 99 happened, the one the landed 99 in the hospital wing.
“the reports sayed 99 was injured by resisting restraints, do you think something more could have happened?” Dr. B. wondered. you were not pleased by how he looked at you, as though you were simply making up unlikely stories.
“i think both Doctor X. and i would greatly appreciate you interviewing 04 about what happened. at least for an eyewitness account.” you tried to speak as diplomatically as possible. you really hated, how all of the other doctors in the facility liked to look down on you.
true, you were the greenest doctor, and most looked down their nose since you had ‘gotten the short straw’ by being assigned subject 61. you had only been working for L.U.C.K.Y. for less then a year, being hired right out of med school.
but those facts didn’t mean they had to speak to you as though you were incompitent and your requests ridiculous.
“then i will question him about the incident and get copies to both you and Doctor X.” Dr. B. dismissed with a polite smile.
“thank you very much, i appreciate it.” you nodded to the young man, and continued on your way.

yixing with lucky au and abandoned cabin
Lay | Abandoned Cabin | L.U.C.K.Y. au
you waited, unable to bite your nails as there was nothing left but stubs.
you just, wanted to see him again. Project LUCKY had fallen, and while you were unemployed, and sure that if your superiors found you, you’d be dead. yet, still, he was all you could think of.
subject 10, your sweetest subject. the one that LUCKY destroyed. well, one of many.
the door of the old cabin clicked as the lock turned. the hairs on your neck stood on edge, a knife from the kitchen tucked into your coat sleeve.
“Doctor?” your heart stopped at the sound of his voice.
“Lay!” the knife fell from your hands as you saw his face. your sweet boy.
his face brightened as he saw you, a brown box in his hands haphazardly placed on a side table as he took a few quick strides before you were in his arms.
he smelled like warm honey, his skin was warm and soft. arms big and strong, pulling you against his chest.
“I-i never thought id see you again...” your eyes were damp as you fisted your hands in his jacket.
“oh Doctor, its alright. I'm here, I'm safe.” he cooed softly into your hair.
you sniffled, but smiled at his kind face. he then remembered the box, fumbling to hand it to you.
“I brought you a gift.” he smiled.
