👉🏻 behind the scenes of the Sun tarot! currently my fav illustration from this series…

this Arcane symbolizes positivity and represents a time of clarity and personal growth! I don’t know about you, but I honestly need positivity in my life these days!

I decided to represent the Sun & Moon tarots as a sort of “Ancestral” deities…so this figure is a personification of a sun-god, portrayed as a sixteenth-century king (for the “outfit” I took inspiration from the Tudor style and particularly on the figure of Henry VIII)

I really hope this tarot card may bring you good vibes, light and calmness…we all need it in these dark times 🌝✨✨✨

✧ the Hermit ~ instrospection • contemplation • solitude

it’s time to give a closer look at another illustration of my Major Arcana series! it’s the turn of the Hermit! the tarot of wisdom and solitude… even for this figure (as for the others of my series) the main theme was medieval fantasy…so I decided to give it that “Old Magician” vibe, drawing major inspiration from the figure of the wizard-hermit (as Obi-Wan, Gandalf or Merlin)! the primary element of this illustration, surely is the Lantern (symbol of Truth) that I represented as a “stellated dodecahedron”, an homage to the “magical geometry” of the dutch artist M. C. Escher, which is one of my favourite…

I personally find painting really “therapeutic” in some way …it’s something that relaxes me so much, and that is able to carry me into a sort of “safe place”…so, I hope this video could give you the same calming vibes that I received while I was working on this artwork 👌🏻✨

I think that taking care of our mental health is really important, especially during this hard times in which we’re overwhelmed with bad news and tragedy…
