Did you know Fireflyes and Glow-worms are the same thing ? Among European Lampyres, the male can fly and females are more massive and stay on the Ground. (And they look Badass !!)

I've been meaning to draw more of my custom species for a loooong time, and finally got around to finishing an old sketch I had! This guy is a lampyr; a big, glowy, and monstrous boy. Every lampyr is born with an abundance of one of the noble gases present in their biology, and the glowing circles on their bodies are actually vents that release super-charged particles of their corresponding element. Said element is what determines the color of the Lampyr's skin and glow. (i like chemistry sorry for being a nerd sjhfasjfh) This particular guy is abundance in argon, an element that glows purple/pink when it enters an excited state. The more you know! ANYWAY species junk aside, this guy is up for adoption and has a flat price of $35, or best offer! An optional NSFW version can be added for $5 more. physical details:

refers to himself as a “mutated mess,” and there’s some truth to it. helion has a number of physical mutations that affect him in different ways. he pupated missing a few fingers and coincidentally lost a few more during the destruction of his hive. his hands were healed, however, by zekres.

cleft lip.

wing development is just barely starting, in a similar fashion to rufioh’s. itchy bumps are forming on his back.

mental:

a traumatized mess full of self hatred. 

prone to periods of mutism and disordered eating, along with suicidal idelations.

terrified of fire (his hive was burned down by hemoloyalists when they were looking in his area for a mutantblood).

personality traits & some backstory:

helion is lost most of the time. for such a young kid, he’s no longer sure what he’s supposed to believe in. after his hive was destroyed, he spent a short time on the streets, and then was taken in by the icordy church.

helion’s poor self image was only further destroyed by the idea that his being a lowblood was a punishment, and he owned highbloods servitude to make up for it so he wouldn’t go to hell.
