Idk if somebody asked this already if so sorry. What would happen if Severus' partner sits on his lap? How would he react if it was in public? My mind tells me Snape has hollow bones like a bird and that if an average person sits on his lap you will hear his bone crash making it imposible for him to escape

Ignoring the hollow bones - tho I will always agree with people comparing him to a bird - I think he would freeze and combust if it happened in public. He'd get them off through gritted teeth and there would be a big fallout later.

He IS private about everything and clearly this wouldn't be an acceptable public display of affection for him. He could be okay with taking his s/o arm and maybe give them a little squeeze on the shoulder/arm or their back. He could be okay with standing quite close to them. Maybe after a lot of years together, he could give them a peck on the cheek or on the lips.

But you certainly do not sit on his lap in public.

At least not with canon!Snape.

As for in private, I think this could be more acceptable. He would be very surprised and flustered the first time and it'd be very cute and he wouldn't know where to put his hands and grumble something about them getting off and letting him read in peace.

But he'd like it very much.
