Coming home to my family afterward makes the work richer, easier and more fun.
Day 1 of the Hideduo Kiss Week Event by LazyCat
Day 1 prompt: Kiss on the cheek
1.6k words|stardew valley au family fluff| no TW's apply|ao3 link
After a long day in the mines, all Fit wants to do is sit at the fire with his husband Pac and their three kids, Richarlyson, Ramón and Rosa. This is him doing exactly that and what comes after.
Fic under the read more
The sun set slowly as Fit was walking back to the farm from the mountains, having gotten up early to go mining for a quest put up by Shane on the questboard at Pierre’s shop. He was tired and he hadn’t seen Pac all day, both of them having important things to do, on and off the farm. Despite his exhaustion, he still felt like walking back to the farm instead of taking the rickety minecart that he had given away bars of copper, iron and gold to the community centre for its repair. He didn’t yet trust that it wouldn’t break down mid journey, so he took the scenic route; past Linus’ tent and the Carpenter’s Shop.
Pac, the night before, had insisted that he’d stay at the farm the next day, wanting to spend time with their sons Ramón and Richarlyson and daughter Rosa, wanting to get the new animals that they’d bought recently from Marnie to get acclimated to the farm. Fit smiled to himself, despite being the primary owner of the farm, it having been his grandfather’s before him, he would not have thought to try to acclimate the farm animals personally. He’d have just let them do their thing until they were comfortable enough for him to shear them or take their eggs. But that was very in nature for Pac, especially when he, while Fit went mining or to Calico Desert for the Skull Caverns, looked after their two boys and the newest addition to their family. Though that’s not to say that Pac didn’t also do those things, they took it in turns to go mining while the other spent time at the farm.
Reaching the northernmost point of the farm, Fit made a pit stop to the water bowl outside the house, refilling it with water from his watering can. It was a task that normally they’d let the kids do but Fit noticed it to be empty. He didn’t like their cat, at first; it being a mangy old thing that Ramón had fallen in love with when it had made its home underneath the covering over their small orchard. He ’d succumbed to the puppy dog look that his three boys pulled when he suggested moving the cat somewhere else. Having filled Katos’ bowl and emptied his items in their assorted chests, he headed into the house.
Their house was laid out in a pretty standard way, Fit thought, with the first room you entered from the front door being the living room with kitchen on the left, in an open plan design. On the furthest wall from the front door was a fireplace that he and Pac had built together, as the house when he first moved in had no central heating. It wasn’t built well, clearly having multiple repairs made to it over their time living on the farm but he loved it. It was a show of their love of their home. Of their life spent together.
Shouts too loud for the time it was could be heard from the armchair in front of the fire, followed by little footsteps that could only belong to his two sons. He crouched down, reaching their height as they bulldozed their way into his arms, feeling the full force of two young children slamming into his body.
“Well isn’t it good to be back home eh? I hope you boys have been behaving yourselves for your Pai,” Fit looks at the two boys in his arms, having stood up with a child in each arm.
They both nod before, in almost unison, rambling about what happened while he was gone, voices getting muddled as they spoke on top of one another. Fit nods as if he’s understanding the two, when in reality, their voices blend into one amalgamation that no one would be able to understand. The young boys don’t notice this however, both too engrossed in informing their dad of the day’s events.
He walks to where Pac was still sitting with their youngest child Rosa leaning on his chest, sleeping soundly. He gently lowers each of the boys back onto the armrests of the chair, ruffling Ramón’s wavy hair, knowing that it wouldn’t have the potential to badly affect the boy’s hair like it would Richarlyson’s tight, curled hair.
“Oi Fitchie. Tudo bem?” Pac talks quietly, aware of the sleeping toddler, eyes quickly taking in any visible injuries on Fit’s person. Fit smiles to himself at the action, feeling Pac’s love through his searching eyes. He had no injuries for Pac to treat but he allowed his husband to look for some anyways.
“Oh you know, the usual. Too many slimes and cave flies,” Fit reaches a hand out to cup Pac’s face before kissing his cheek, “I’ll let you continue the story while I shower and get ready for bed.” He emphasises the end of his sentence, knowing that his boys do not like the preemptive part of going to bed, but adored the actual act of sleeping greatly. Pac, as if their relationship was brand new and not several years old at this point, blushed scarlet at Fit’s action, still not fully used to the initially stoic man showing such affection.
He heads off to shower and as he walks away, he can hear Pac picking up from where he left off, midway through telling a story of an adventure of him as a teen with their Tia Bagi and Tio Cellbit. The trio were known as the ‘troublesome trio’ growing up, having grown up in Pelican Town unlike Fit.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Feeling fresh and mostly rested after his shower, Fit walked back into the living room to see Pac having finished his story with their two boys on the verge of sleep, resting their heads on his shoulders. Picking up Richarlyson softly, so as to not rouse him from his almost slumbering state, he leads Pac holding both Rosa and Ramón in his arms to the children’s bedroom. As the two boys were still young they shared a room while Rosa got the smallest room that connected to Fit and Pac’s room. Once the two grew older, they’d commission Robin to build another room in the house for whichever of the kids to move into.
Fit took off Richarlyson’s prosthetic, knowing the boy would be too drowsy to unhook the little bands and clasps, before tucking him into his bed. He also tucked Richarlyson’s hair into his bonnet, preventing the potential for his hair to frizz as he slept. His side of the room was a lot messier than Ramón’s, with a mural in its beginning stages being painted on one wall and paint supplies and sketches strewn across the floor. As Pac had told him once, if it had happened at the orphanage where he grew up, the culprit would’ve been forced to get rid of it themselves; sanding away the paint and giving the wall a fresh coat of whatever bland off-white they’d decided to paint that specific room.
To Fit’s right, he could see in his peripheral vision that Pac was doing the same with Ramón, tucking him in tightly and leaving a kiss on the top of his head before exiting the room. Fit followed after him, having leaned Ricarlyson’s leg against his bedside table so that it was in arm’s reach for when the child woke up. Ramón’s side of the room was no less messy, more it being an organised mess. He knew where everything was despite the numerous pieces of machinery he’d been tinkering with scattered across any available surface.
They go back to the lounge after having put Rosa in her crib, sitting together on the armchair despite them clearly not being able to fit comfortably. Speaking in quiet voices, they tell each other of their days; who they spoke to, what fofoca Pac managed to get and other such things. As they spoke, the crackles of the fire faded into background noise, the two solely focusing on each other with a slight ear out listening for the potential of Rosa waking up.
It’s late into the night when their conversation dwindles down, the need to sleep finally taking hold of their bodies. Pac kisses his cheek before lightly tapping his ass, signalling him to get up from his lap so that they could go to bed. It’s not a common motion for Pac to do, so it causes Fit to stutter and stumble slightly as he lifts himself from his husband’s lap and walks to their room, glancing briefly at all of the different adventures the family had been memorialised in a gallery wall.
Their room was decorated simply. With framed birth certificates for each of their children and the deed to the farm pinned to one wall. Their bed rested against another wall and was a successful experiment of Robin’s, and was kindly given to the pair as a wedding gift when she had heard Pac jokingly complain about Fit’s old bed. They walked to the bed, each choosing a side, before getting comfortable. They were both quite specific on how they slept; Fit needed flat pillows for he slept on his back, having needed to sleep that way when living in a rundown area of Zuzu City, and Pac needed fluffy pillows for he slept on his side facing away from the wall, needing to be aware of his surroundings at all times because of the hostility in the orphanage he grew up in. They fell into a deep sleep quickly, the events of the day fully catching up to the pair.
With the sound of chickens clucking and their other animals waking up, Fit rouses to a weight on his chest. Expecting it to be Pac, he rests his hand on their hair, only to feel the bonnet that he’d gotten Richarlyson to wear not even twelve hours prior. He lifts his head up slightly, looking to his side to see his position replicated but with Pac and Ramón, his heart warming at the sight.
This was home, Fit thought.

The moment I saw you, my heart whispered, 'that's the one. - 04/05/24
Day 4 of Hideduo Kiss Week Event by LazyCat
Day 4 prompt: Kiss on the Hand
1.7k words|stardew valley flower dance au| no TW's apply| ao3 link|
Fit and Ramón are new to Stardew Valley and it's time for the Flower Dance Festival. If only people would stop gossiping about Fit. It's not until someone that Fit had yet to meet, offers out a hand that he reconsiders his life in the Valley. He hadn't thought it to be a permanent thing, staying at the farm but this man? This man could change his mind on that.
fic underneath the read more
It was the morning of the Flower Dance Festival, the day that every townsperson had been talking about since Fit’s arrival in Pelican Town. It was all anyone would talk about; who, if anyone, he’d ask to dance with him. He’d heard rumours of a bet going around those not eligible for a relationship about who they thought he would dance with, most of the votes leaning towards Penny or Shane, not wanting to assume his orientation. He should have expected such a small town like this to not have much new gossip unless there’s someone new but he hadn’t taken that into consideration when taking up the mantle of his grandfather’s farm.
He didn’t have much in terms of the farm, he’d only been in Stardew Valley for 24 days but he did have some parsnips and leeks growing. Ramón, when not being taught by Penny with Jas and Vincent, would help out on the farm by feeding the two chickens they owned that were lovingly called Beans and Toast. Ramón had been on a real British fixation after having met Phil and hearing his northern accent say certain words in a way Ramón deemed funny.
“Ramón! Come on little buddy, it’s time for the Flower Dance Festival!” Fit raises his voice across the farm, having spent his time watering the crops while Ramón did his own thing. Upon hearing the name of the festival for the first time in a letter from Mayor Lewis, both of them groaned at the dance aspect of it. Neither of them had learnt the unique dance style of the Valley yet so they’d be stuck sidelined while other townsfolk would try to start up a conversation with them. Which wouldn’t have been a bad thing, if some of them weren’t looking for the gossip of where Ramón’s other parent was or why they decided to uproot their entire lives for a decrepit farm left to nature.
Little footsteps came running closer to Fit, alerting him to Ramón’s whereabouts. His son seemed a lot happier these days, much more in comparison to not even a month prior when Fit was working a desk job for Joja. A company that he’d thought he’d escaped from, only to find Morris and a branch of Joja in the tiny village. That same day he had learnt that Joja Mart had a competitor here, Pierre, and that he had made it his mission to run Joja out of this sweet town, having already grown on him despite how little time he’d spent here.
“Are you ready for the festival, my boy? We might not return until it’s dark out,” Fit speaks, reminding Ramón who nods firmly and starts to walk south of the farm, towards where the festival was being held. It’s not difficult for Fit to catch up with his son, taking single strides to match Ramón’s many small steps.
Leaving the farm, they see Marnie and her niece Jas and they catch up as they walk. They were neighbours after all. Striking up a conversation about how to take care of different animals, Ramón and Jas walk up ahead, still in the eyesight of their parental figures. It’s only a short walk to the festival site, but it’s nonetheless an insightful conversation with Marnie.
Walking across the bridge from Cindersnap Forest to the festival’s location, Fit and Ramón could already tell the difference. It was a small cordoned off field with planters full of different flowers in every empty spot. There were some red and white chequered blankets laid out for those who weren’t going to dance to sit and chat and some average wooden chairs for those that preferred it. A majority of the town’s citizens were already there, chatting away amongst themselves, some practising the dance alone or just standing there looking fondly.
Fit looks around, Marnie having split off upon seeing Mayor Lewis in the far left corner, questioning who to talk to first. Ramón spots Sunny dancing around her Pa Tubbo nearby her spiritual siblings Pepito and Empanada and looks at his dad with these puppy dogs eyes that he knows Fit will fall for every time and lets him run off to be with his friends. He, himself, walks to his left, still standing near the entrance but close enough to talk with people if he or they so wish.
It’s Robin from the Carpenter’s Shop who talks to Fit first after he sat down on one of the wooden chairs. She starts with the small talk; asking how the farm is, how the chicken coop is holding up and such before delving slightly deeper. Asking how different his life in Stardew was in comparison to Zuzu City. He answered vaguely, responding with similar questions in kind, not wanting to be perceived as rude.
As they chat, Fit looks around, eyes focusing on his son, seeing him holding hands with Sunny and Empanada while swaying side to side. He smiles at the sight, happy that his son has made some friends, he’d have to talk with their parents and set up a playdate or something after the festival. Almost everyone had shown up to the festival, all bar the Wizard but that was expected as he did like the comfort of his tower more than the company of other people Fit had learnt.
A loud assertive cough from the opposite side of the festival silences any and all conversation, “The dance will start in five minutes, it is now time for you to ask whomever you wish to dance.” Lewis announces and people sitting down get up from their seats walking to their chosen dance partner. Fit stays seated, having planned to not dance. He sees Ramón being dragged by the two young girls he had been previously dancing with into the centre of the field, being forced to dance once more. Ramón sends a look his way, as if to ask for help, but Fit smiles and shakes his head. It’d be good for him to get to know more people his age.
Footsteps could be heard heading towards Fit, there were some bachelors to his left so he didn’t pay attention to it until they stopped at his right side. He looked up and couldn’t help but stare. This adonis of a man, with dark brown hair and a cream overshirt over a blue t-shirt, was reaching a hand out to him. To him, the new guy.
“Bom dia,” the man speaks and Fit is stunned once again. Why was he talking to him when there were plenty of others who’d want to dance with him? He was handsome enough that anyone would want to dance with him, so why Fit?
“Hi… hi,” Fit speaks quietly, before realising that he was too quiet and repeated it louder once more. The man smiles and Fit feels his face flush. He had never flushed that quickly in the presence of anyone before.
“May we dance?” The unnamed handsome man asks, reaching out a little more with his outstretched hand. Those not asking others to dance gasp at the scene, clearly something important was happening, not that Fit was paying any attention to his surroundings; he’d rather look at this man for the rest of his life.
“I don’t dance with people that I don’t know their name.” Fit says, hopefully prompting the man to give it to him.
“My name’s Pac. My son Richarlyson is friends with Empanada and Pepito who have befriended your son.” Pac nods his head over to where their children are messing around and having fun in the centre of the field.
“Ahh, that makes sense. Mine’s Fit, thought I should add,” Fit tells the man, still not taking Pac’s hand, “I’ve not seen you around the Valley yet.” Fit probes Pac, wanting to know why he hadn’t seen the man in his 24 days of living in Pelican Town.
“Sim! I was visiting some friends in Zuzu City for a month. I got back yesterday, I wasn’t going to miss the Flower Dance.” Pac smiles at Fit gently.
Lewis announces once more that the dance is about to begin when Fit places his hand in Pac’s, who kisses the knuckles before guiding them both to where the other dancers are. More gasps are heard as they walk to the centre but Fit is looking at nothing else but Pac.
“I should warn you Pac, I don’t know this dance.” Fit states, having momentarily forgotten that fact when Pac had asked.
“You know, that’s okay. I’ll guide you.” Confidently, Pac places one of Fit’s hands on the upper side of his elbow and the other stays in his hand in preparation for a foxtrot styled dance. Fit’s sure that the height difference between the two is jarring but he couldn’t care less; he was the one dancing with the handsome man.
The music begins and the style of dance that the townsfolk who grew up in Stardew Valley dance to is a stark difference to the smooth and quick style of the foxtrot that Fit and Pac dance. They glide around the other dancers, in their own world when Fit asks, “so why me? Of all the people to dance with, why me?”
Pac chuckles a little before answering, “I had heard about you from Tubbo and you know, you’re quite handsome Fit.”
The compliment jerks Fit out of the comforting headspace that the festival had put him in, not used to getting complimented straight to his face like that.
“Oh…” Fit stutters, “you know, I could say the same about you Pac.” Pac blushes, smiling, before quickly bringing their clasped hands together to kiss Fit’s once more.
The dance continues, with quick steps and dips where Fit is curled backwards in a way that he had not before. The other dancers stop, having parted once more and the music ends. They stop as the music does, Pac clearly having been to the festival enough times to memorise the music.
“Thank you for dancing with me Fitch, you know, maybe I’ll see you around?” Pac lets go of Fit’s hands, taking a small step back, and messes around with the cuff of his sleeve.
Fit takes that hand back into his, kisses it and says, “I’m sure you will big boy.”

Rewatching Thor and it’s very clear how Odin (essentially) punished everyone for crossing to Jotunheim except for Heimdall who transported Odin’s kids to said realm and none of this would have happened if Heimdall said, “Go home before I tell your dad!”
So the only conclusion I can make is Asgard (rightfully) lets Heimdall get away with crime.

Just a friendly reminder that when people say “comments are appreciated” they are talking about positive comments. There is plenty of negativity on their personal accounts and a fanfiction archive is not the place for it.
Stopping in a person’s fic to say “I’m disappointed to see you wrote about XYZ” no matter your good intentions or how much you insist you still like the fic is very disrespectful and AO3 does not have the same etiquette rules as Tumblr. It’s not the place for your meta analysis or discourse posts.
I understand AO3 is very cumbersome to learn because the way it functions is not as intuitive as say Instagram. (and it’s not a social media site, for one thing) I still haven’t completely mastered AO3 so I tend to give readers the benefit of the doubt.
If you’re unsure what is an acceptable comment, keep it positive, ask yourself if you would say it to their face, and save your negative opinions for your personal blogs (while keeping the writer out of it).
Happy reading and remember to keep your comments respectful! ❤️
P.S. Also, just an FYI some writers don’t like “I don’t ship XYZ but your fic is so good” as a comment. I personally don’t mind these comments and don’t take offense to them, but other writers have their own personal experiences with these comments that make them feel negatively about it. So just know that you may have issues with that sort of phrasing. Try to think of a more neutral comment that more clearly defines your experience with the fic.
Edit: I want to open this space to encourage blogs to come here to (respectfully) ask questions or add on comments. Judgement free. Oftentimes we come to these spaces and forget there are people behind the computer with real, individual experiences and we shouldn’t expect people to have all the answers. With that said, I may not have the answer to your question, but this thread will be open for people who do know.
#i saved this post for later because it happened to me and I don't want to feel like im attacking the offender#i just want to open up the discussion for this sort of topic#the conflict in question has been resolved and it was civil and we came to an understanding#i said what i had to say to them. anything more would be bullying#lazycat thoughts#fandom discourse#fandom negativity#ao3#archive of our own

Lucille really one day went walking around her estate and found some plants like, “This is deadly. What if I made tea out of it?” 🤔
I watched a YouTube video that explained in the Victorian/Edwardian era products weren’t properly labeled and it was easy to poison people. Lots of women (allegedly) did it to get out of a bad marriage. But Lucille passed by the arsenic at the chemist like, “No, I like my poison organic.”
What a go getter!
