Just got recommended a post about a thing that lets you "install the Minecraft launcher for free", so uh. Be careful, it's almost certainly a virus of some kind, like literally just watching the attached video I noticed some of the red flags of the kind of software that would install like 50 viruses.

This post is 100% sincere by the way. Like you may think it's obviously fake and wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole, but there are people out there who wouldn't think that.

Day 2! Lots of fun with Kimblee, a surprising amount of people were really excited to see him XD (it's also kind of funny that the building fire that happened next door occurred while I was wearing him >.>)

Met up with a bunch of homunculi for some photos and then hung out at a bar for more photos food; Envy and Greed had a little worm!Envy with them and it was SO CUTE 😭😭😭

And then went as Zenos to the Final Fantasy concert -- I've been to Distant Worlds several times, but this was my first time going to A New World; it was soooo beautiful. The musicians and the conductor were clearly enjoying themselves so much too, their arrangements were gorgeous and their ending piece was hilarious.

I'm so used to seeing FFVII dominating the cosplay scene at these things, but there were so many FFXIV cosplayers at this one! Everyone looked amazing; Fandaniel nearly leaping over the seats once he spotted me way in the back made my evening 😂

#not doing day 3 today lmaoooo i'm beat #this year's sakcon was WILD #first half of the staff didn't show up for registration on thurs/fri plus they were trying a new software provider for the badges #and that crashed and only five computers were able to print out badges for everyone... keep in mind this event draws around 40-50k people #which led to 4-5 hrs waiting in line for your badge #and then on saturday the building across the street caught fire so fire department shut the whole block down.#one of our con center buildings was evacuated too due to the smoke coming in. lots of panels etc were cancelled. so that was fun.#and then very early in the am hours today there was a natural gas leak discovered #so fire department was back AGAIN with more people this time #i guess the reading was at 4% which is. the lower explosion limit...........#haha #it sounds like maybe things are back to normal now?? but it's last day of con so everything shuts down early #weirdest convention experience i've ever had by far #i feel so bad for the artists. they lost about a day and a half's worth of sales between the lines and the fire.#but yeah doing two cosplays in one day yesterday and being in cosplay for a total of about seventeen hours?#i'm staying home today lol #pajamas and coffee and writing fic in bed are what's on my schedule ^^#withoutwords #kimblee #zenos #cosplay

Something I noticed during my last time playing DSI (a few days ago) is that the audio for Gwyndolin's voice lines is distorted to echo backwards as well as forwards.

If my memory doesn't fail me, that audio distortion technique was either invented by Led Zeppelin or heavily used by them, and Gwyndolin definitely has the look to fit into that era....

Maybe I was wrong about Gwyndolin being a Glam Rocker and he's a Psych Rocker instead.

#uhhhh me #i am so out of my depth. programming the led lights already took all my brainpower #and now i gotta TROUBLESHOOT??#well i guess this is my own fault for accidentally buying a fake arduino #it was so incompatible with the software and apps i wanted to use and it took so much roundabout work to make it...work #like i had to track down a specific usb port app and then use a super old version of the arduino software #and even then it still wouldn't cooperate with some of the other programs #and now it's just like pooping out #and i can't even be sure if it's the board that's dying or the leds #bc there Was an incident where i plugged it in backwards by accident and something flashed red and i panicked and unplugged it #don't know if that was some kind of warning light #anyway. if there are any techy ppl here.#the power light is on when i plug the board in. but when i plug in the ground wire and 5v wire the light dims so much it's basically gone #if only ONE of those wires is plugged in then it's fine #but the moment the other touches the pin then it dims #and needless to say the leds don't turn on at all #i tried using a different outlet #i tried a different usb port #i haven't tried it on my computer yet #is this where i snap and just purchase an actual arduino for real

i cant believe the day but i finally got a full tower pc. bought it already built and at a considerable discount of some 320 dollars off. its fucking huge and theres so many things going on inside... i was initially planning on choosing the parts myself but finding the graphics card was so hard and everyone else convinced me to just buy it built and honestly? good. id probably have fucked this up so badly by myself

i cant use it yet bc i took too long to buy the monitor that was also on sale and now its regular price -_- tho i managed to find a discount used one for now. well see how that goes since ill get it tomorrow. i tested it on out living room tv and it had some kaspersky thingy open and like thats so cute. i hope they left some treats in the browsing history for me to search through before i wipe it clean

#its a hexer case and wouldnt you guess the front has a hexagonal pattern. so pretty..#it came with 3 fans installed there too that have a cmyk color style to them and it looks quite neat. im thinking of buying some leds to pu #inside the case to go with my keyboard tho idk if id go that far tbh (< gamer rot is setting in. im not immune to pretty lighting..)#its also got a lot of unused space inside. im thinking of making more sculptures to put in. though idk if thatd be safe for it #bc cold porcelain is glue and water. what if it evaporates inside and suddenly everythings covered in a glue film #i wonder if varnish would help? the transparent nail polish sure didnt do shit it came off like 2 days after sculpting the rw slug sleeping #which like yeah of course. its nail polish. but i didnt expect it to flake since all it does is sleep on top of my laptop keyboard #i need miniature glass cake cover tops to encapsule every sculpture inside for safety #looking at it still no wonder these are called towers gotdamn its legit so huge..#it looks awkward tho bc i cant fully make it glue to the wall bc of the cables so its like. awkwardly a bit in front of the wall #im scaared as to how to tell if it ever gets too hot. on a laptop u just press ur head against the left half and feel how hot it is #i think im gonna need software for this.. sigh. tho maybe ill never get to that point since its supposed to be decent #AND its not 8 years old + the 3 fans and gpu fan and cpu fan. surely thats enough. the case even has space for more than that!!#the acrylic side reflects my keyboard too. so niceys. stimulation for my creature eyes #my desk is gonna be so fucked up when i have to organize everything too bc the one i have now is perfecly laptop-oriented #it sits on a custom wooden desk and the keyboard+drawing tablet sit below. but theres a shelf on top of my desk thats too low for the>#>normal monitor to sit to so i wont be able to use the custom desk. and i dont even know what ill do with my laptop either #finally a good change in my sad life routine fr. i cant wait to play watchdogs on this and overgrowth and other ones #AND LAGLESS KRITA SMUDGE ENGINE BRUSHES!!!
