Thequality varies due to a lot of factors, such as temperature control, LED chipquality, Strong light portable flashlight FPC, and so on. It is easy for experienced people to identify quality.Here we teach you how to distinguish high-qualityLED strips from poor ones.

1.   Examine the solder connection

Formal LED stripmanufactures apply high-speed automatic computer-aided SMT process. The solderpoints of strips used this complicated product process are smoother than thoseof inferior ones, and solders are evenly distributed. They are in arc shape, stretchingfrom FPC pads to LED electrodes, while the low-quality ones are of unevenlydistributed, circle shaped, containing a soldering feet.

2.   Examine the FPC

FPC has two types, generalcopper and rolled copper respectively. The general copper panels can be seen alittle embossed, if you look carefully, you will find it from where the solderand FPC connected. Instead, the rolled coppers are combined together, flexibleenough to be able to be bended, and never have phenomenon of solder drop. Otherconditions when the solder drop can be like high temperature in maintainprocess.

3.   Examine whether the surface of LED strip is clean

If the LED strips apply SMTproduct technology, the surface is fairly clean without any impurity andstains, while poor ones using manual welding can been seen the trace, leavingsome dirty flux and dross.

4.   The package

Formal manufactures applyanti-static package, generally, 5 meters a roll or 10 meters a roll. The LEDstrips are well sealed in an anti-static and moistureproof bag, while the fakeones usually aren’t in order to save cost.

5. Check the label

Formally, the labels shouldbe originally printed on the package bag, and the reel. While the small-scaleworkshop might just attach the printed labels, and the specifications have notuniversal standard.

6. Check the accessories

Formal manufacturers will supply the manual and the product specifications, and specific connectors. Theycome with the LED strips in the same package bag. When you find yours don’tcontain these, it is very possible that they come from informal workshop.
