Ledger Art: a movement started in the Dakotas when the Natives were givin "junk" paper to use for writing and art. No fine paper for the reservations. But the artists chose to use the scraps of ledger paper, checks and news papers from the 1800's!!!! They make their art on the papers of the people that colonized them!
