Basic Photo Corrections

In lesson 2, the main objectives were to utilize adobe bridge, crop/ straighten images, fix blemishes, adjust tonal range, replace areas using generative fill, and how to sharpen images.

Ways To Work With The Chakras

Meditation and visualization 

- Meditation is a form of mental exercise that trains the mind to stay focused. 

- It’s purpose is to help calm and clear mental chatter. It can help transform consciousness in ways that promote inner peace, mental clarity, emotional positivity, deep knowing and concentration. By maintaining a specific focus, like a breath, the mind can stop wandering. Meditation also includes cvisulizations where you create mental images toward your purpose. 

- There are many ways to meditate; sitting or laying and focusing on your breath or a specific object, or you can focus on an activity such as walking, art, music or writing

Yoga 

- Yoga is a series of physical postures and breathing exercises aimed to strengthen us physically, mentally and spiritually 

- Yoga provides physical strength and stamina, designed to create awareness and connection with the body through movement

- Through physical exercises and breath, we connect the mind with the body. We move the body into different poses for a set period of time, at the same time we control our breathing in different ways, helping energy circulate throughout the body and cultivating mindfulness

Crystals

- Crystals are used to draw out or redirect energy as well as develop the strengths associated with the specific stone. They are used to rebalance and heal. 

- Crystals help us engage with the natural Earth energy to nourish our strengths and gifts. They help us release what no longer serves us, tap into our gifts, restore balance, heal and elevate our consciousness

- Keep a crystal on your person, wear a crystal as a necklace, lie comfortably and place chakra crystals on your chakra points, hold crystals in your left hand ( receiving hand) during meditation so you can receive the healing vibrations of the crystal 

Maintain Balance 

-Regularly cultivate mindfulness and practice gratefulness to keep yourself in the present moment

- Maintain your energy through movement - yoga, walking

- Bless with sacred white sage to clear away any negativity or unwanted energy 

- Take a bath with Epsom salts to clear away any energy you have have picked up that isn't yours or wanted, it also helps relieve aches and pains

The Value of Being a Media and Information Literate Individual

Media and Information Literacy (MIL), refers to the ability to access, interpret, influence, and is necessary for citizens to assert their rights to information and expression. Commonly understood, information and technology literacy means that you are knowledgeable with and educated on how to handle various media, particularly technological media such as computers to access and use social media and the internet. It is significant to be a media and information literate individual in this digital age because media and data proficiency is fundamental for everybody—because being a media and technology-educated individual means that we get to take part in a computerized society where one should have the option to comprehend, ask, and think fundamentally. Being media and data educated can impact and alter others' viewpoints about a specific theme or issue through posting your musings and feelings via social media. By that alone, we can say that in being literate in the aspect of media and information, and even beyond, we can be influential by producing and disseminating true information. But how?

To become media literate, you must learn to identify the appropriate questions about what you are seeing, reading, or listening to. To be information literate, you must be able to recognize when information is needed and have the competence to seek, analyze, and use that information. Respect and self-control are necessary to become media and information literate. We must be cautious as to what we say and publish on social media. We must take full responsibility for every action we take. Many media and social media users are illiterate and irresponsible. We tend to overlook the appropriate behavior and basic etiquette that we must practice as individuals because of our independence and liberty. Most of the time, we are misusing the freedom that we have, and we are unaware of it. Lastly, the value is in your audience. This position, we believe, is important as culture evolves away from traditional sources and toward technology as a source. Most importantly, it does not ignore the human factor. Being a media and information literate individual has significant importance, in our opinion, if one becomes a resource and translator of current knowledge into media or possesses a good understanding of the information in the media and can work with others in using and/or sharing information.

Media and Government: A Love-Hate Relationship

Governments all over the world make policies that affect citizens in a variety of ways. Citizens typically have a perspective on the success of social media and the high levels of participation allow for public debate on how governments work and the policies they initiate or implement. Government, its agencies, and organizations also have recognized how impactful this medium can be for interacting with citizens for soliciting feedback, raising awareness about various initiatives, constructing a participatory governance system, and so forth. These issues, and some choose to express theirs through various mediums such as news and print media, public polls, rallies, petitions, and, increasingly, social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. As people on social media, we are all aware that we spend a lot of time, if any, seeking to determine whether a well-known news outlet's website is genuine or not. Our relying on everything we find on the web makes it more vulnerable to such fraud, and our ignorance provides a window of opportunity for governments to manipulate information to influence the public's perception.

Through the media, politics gain more advantage. With the use of social media, politics can take advantage of this and use it for many different reasons. The use of social media in politics refers to the use of online social media platforms in political processes and activities. Social media platforms include Facebook, YouTube, WeChat, Instagram, Quora, QQ, Zone, Weibo, Twitter, Tumblr, Tiktok, Reddit, Baidu Post Bar, LinkedIn, LINE, Snapchat, Pinterest, Viber, and VK. Political processes and activities include all activities related to the governance of a country or region. This includes political organizations, global politics, political corruption, political parties, and political values. The Internet has created communication channels that play a key role in news dissemination. Social networks not only have the ability to change news, but also have the ability to change the dynamics of political corruption, values ​​and political conflicts. Through the electoral process, global conflicts and extreme politics with the use of social media in China, diplomacy around the world has become less private and susceptible to public perception. With the use of social media, political candidates can also use these platforms to gain more votes in their upcoming election for politicians. Social media is a very helpful tool in many ways. It helped politics as well in many different ways.
