BACKGROUND ,

Soo Kiyong was born March 5th, 2001 and raised in Seogwipo, a city on the island of Jeju, to two loving parents.

While his childhood wasn't super eventful, it should be noted that he was pretty doted on as the youngest of his siblings. ( And yes, he hates doing chores and will whine!! )

He took up an interest in swimming competitively in middle school and continued on throughout high school and even university. He also dabbled in taekwondo and enjoyed playing soccer for fun with friends.

By the time Kiyong was 18, he decided he would apply for a college in Seoul and help his grandparents with their cafe. He only needed to fulfill the promise that he graduate with good grades and pass the entrance exam.

Miraculously, he gets accepted into SNU and decides to major in marine biology and oceanography.

After a couple years attending uni, he decides to get his enlistment out of the way. Unfortunately, he injures his shoulder during training and as a result, his swimming career would have to be shelved.

( Note: during late January 2024, he even ended up having a surgery for the rotator cuff tear he experienced. This has potential for past headcanons! )

When he returns in the summer of 2023, he gets his dream job at an aquarium as an aquarist. But the dream is short-lived. A year later, he is fired after he was discovered to be conspiring with his coworkers to place the beluga whale into a better habitat.

With only his job at his grandparents cafe to sustain him, he's had to resign himself to the fact that maybe he should finally seriously consider this modeling thing. Ever since being scouted on the street earlier this year, he's been apprehensive. Especially knowing that his parents will be ... rather confused by his sudden path change.

Sensitive, but in tune enough with his emotions. He is a little bit of a crier, but he keeps it together well enough.

He's actually quite clumsy and prone to accidentally breaking things… but at least he's innovative trying to fix them with a shoelace and some gum!

Actually has quite a good head on his shoulders. He doesn't get angry easily and he is great at mediating and trying to solve problems in a calm way.

That being said, he is an affectionate guy. He enjoys giving and receiving hugs. It's how he recharges.

He's working on his Jeju accent but since he's lived there practically his whole life, sometimes he has a hard time.

His grandmother used to be a model for decades when she was young. Basically, the only hope for him that he will make it out of this.

some of you may remember junyi from last year. she's back! she's now a cancer instead of a capricorn but everything else remains the same. junyi is still dealing with family troubles (because she refused to go back to china & get married) and general health issues (because she was raised to touch nothing harder than water LOL). she may be physically fragile but has plenty of inner strength to guide her. i see her as a nurturing, older sister type with plenty of advice to give, but only if you ask. she's quiet, but not shy, just more invested in listening and observing.

please leave a like if you'd like to plot. i have a few ideas to get us started!

friendship: fellow fashion lovers? let's have shopping trips and makeovers? need someone to listen to your woes? do you also love self-care? got a pet? she loves animals but is sadly allergic to furry companions. though she's physically weak, she is willing to get into semi-dangerous situations to protect people. you don't need to be strong to be a hero, right? childhood friends? friends of her late ex? people from china who knows about the shen daughter who'd escaped her fate?

romance: she is open romantically, but after what happened to her first love, it will be an uphill battle. if your character comes from a wealthy family, I am open to a past betrothal connection that fell through. it could have ended amicably or horribly depending on what you are hoping for.

negative: misunderstandings? do you want to be the ex of her ex and bond over loss? did she get in your way? try to push an ideal onto you in that typical enfj manner?

special plots:

the umbrella - junyi is careful with her appearance but on rainy days, she always carries a battered old umbrella. maybe on this day it breaks, you are there to see it and helps her with letting go.

the ring - she is selling her pinky ring to someone who is trying to haggle and rather disrespectful about its value. helping out in this situation may lead to a conversation about family?

make a wish - you planned to spend your birthday alone, but she surprises you by making it the best birthday ever

*guess_who's_back_back_again.mp3* hi all ! thank you so much all the warm welcome (back's) 🤍 i'm kristin / admin *, and for those of you who don't know, nathan is my previous third-turned-second muse before i dropped out of the rp completely back in may of last year. i've still been around doing graphics, but nathan has always had a special place in my heart – and i knew that if i were to return with a muse, it would be with him. so when soobin opened up, i knew this was my one and only chance !

that being said, nathan is ~pretty much~ the same but ofc different in ways. his timeline is a continuation from where he was ic-wise last year, and you can read more under the cut about what his life is like now in the post-type zero era of his career. i've also linked his previous introduction that includes more of his backstory before he came to legacy for your reference !

tl;dr on his backstory is that he (1) grew up in new york city, (2) acted out a lot because of parental neglect (re: being raised in boarding schools his whole life), (3) ended up in korea because the school board threatened to expel him after a prank-gone-wrong, (4) auditioned for legacy after his npc-big brother got signed to the company, (5) stayed because it was the first time in his life he ever got praised for literally anything and, wow, very much attention and affection-starved from the get-go, and (6) debuted in type zero in april of 2021 after four years of training!

now ... where, oh, WHERE do i even begin? like i mentioned in my ooc post when i dropped, nathan ultimately left type zero because of massive burnout. at the time, he was practically hard-carrying the group's promotions with his solo activities, and the burden of maintaining type zero's 'status' in the industry was eventually too much for him.

it was a lot for him, okay. not only was he dealing with the emotional turmoil that came from being in a group with so many line-up changes and differing opinions from the public, he was succumbing to the pressure of all these expectations placed on him that he (as he knows now) never felt properly prepared for before his debut.

the first few weeks after his departure, he had an extended staycation with his grandparents in the outskirts of seoul before flying back to nyc for some much-needed r&r.

since he was still signed to legacy even after leaving type zero, he returned to training after about three months of 'vacation' – so he's only been full-time training for a little over six months now.

he's been avoiding, basically, everyone – previous managers and stylists and other staff members, other debuted idols in the company, and, of course, the type zero members.

he's so ashamed of himself, for giving something up that (as he first-hand witnessed himself!) hundreds of kids only dream of after sacrificing their childhoods, their youths, their critical developments years all for the goal of becoming an idol.

and he's embarrassed, for obvious reasons. when he left type zero, he was practically at the top of his game, but now? now he's stuck in the basement, in the hallways of dance studios and practice rooms, surrounded by unfamiliar faces that whisper and gossip as he passes by. he's visibly older than most trainees now, and his energy nor enthusiasm can barely keep up anymore.

before, nathan thought he could take the world on by storm – that no matter what problem or obstacle, he could bulldoze through with sheer willpower alone. but now he's scared, and more jaded. the idol industry isn't anything like they tell you to believe, and there truly are things you can only learn through real-life experience.

but at the end of the day, nathan knows why he's still here, why he's tormenting himself by going through this rigorous training process again. he loves it. he loves it so much, and so much more than wanting to run away from it all once again.

hong misha (紅米沙, 홍미샤) was born august 13, 2001 in nanping, china. her blood type is O+, her MBTI is ENTJ and she thinks that both of those things don’t really mean anything. she’s bisexual and single. her favorite color is light yellow or dusty rose, her favorite kind of candy is gummies, and she listens to all kinds of music, but has a particular affinity toward pop and rnb. her primary goal is to become an idol-actress, but she’s open to various avenues. her primary strengths lie in acting and vocals, but she shows great promise in variety and songwriting, too. she plays the guzheng and speaks chinese, korean, and japanese with varying degrees of fluency, but only slightly conversational english. her style is cute, feminine and eclectic, and she considers herself a maximalist. her concept is versatile, but she excels at cute, quirky, and story-driven concepts. when she's not training, she works as a freelance nail artist and a waitress.

while outsiders will describe her as deceptively innocent, incredibly cute and endearingly poised, those close to her might tell the tale of someone that you never fully know. she’s yet to truly master the art of emotional intimacy and truly growing closer to her tends to involve a lot of push and pull. she’s not really interested in people that aren’t interested in her and all of her oddities. no flower blooms without a struggle, no?

creatively minded, she enjoys music a lot more as an idol-will-be than she ever did as a child who grew up around the sordid, punkish types who played in smoky bars (and forgot to pick her up from her lessons,) and more and more is honing her skill set to make herself feel more deserving of the praise she gets as both a personality and a vocal. she’s vibrant in her element and has gained a reputation for being a hardworker, maintaining the “fighting!” spirit and zeal of a fresher faced trainee well into her growing seniority. she’s clear and playful, well-mannered and well-spoken, and a (mostly, sometimes, if the sky is clear and she slept eight hours the night before) good sport when it comes to the innate competition that comes as a side effect to being a trainee among many others.

home life

she was raised primarily by her grandparents, but started living with her aunt in seoul in 2015, after her mother remarried following a short trial period of misha living with her again full-time in an attempt to repair their historically tumultuous relationship. nobody wants to say the quiet part out loud, but it was clearly a fresh start for her mother, who’d gotten married and had her very young. she visits when time allows, but now that her mom is pregnant again, she can only imagine how often that’ll be. anyway, moving to seoul was a new beginning and, as it stands, her only connection back home to nanping is her grandparents and her ever-therapized dad. she was formally adopted by her aunt in 2018.

fun facts

she has a habit of intergrating chinese or english phrases or exclamations into her daily speech (ex. saying something is cute or delicious in either eng or chn, saying “oh my god,”/“wow” etc.)

she was born a month early and her grandparents affectionately call her “speedracer” because they could tell early on that her eagerness to get here would be indicative of her desire to succeed.

her grandparents own a bakery and her aunt, who she lived with up until her signing with legacy entertainment, makes specialty marshmallows in a cafe. misha sometimes goes in to help when time allows, but has more or less accepted that it’s not really her calling.

misha enjoys collecting stuffed animals but has recently had to donate more than half of the ones she brought with her to the dorms because they were taking up a ridiculous amount of space. that combined with her shopping habit was practically a recipe for disaster. she still buys them, obviously, but she’s restricting herself to small, soft, cute ones that she could stuff in a suitcase, if necessary.

hello, friends! this is so late, but that tracks for me... 😅 anyway, you can call me 𝒋𝒂𝒄𝒆 & some of you may remember me when i was here a rather long time ago. i had a muse named jeong kian, & another named lee yuan ( aka the common denominator, iykyk ). i was feeling ✨ nostalgic ✨ about them recently, so i decided to introduce a newer muse of mine to this space, one inspired by yuan, but less of an agent of chaos, & i hope you enjoy getting to know him ( oh, & please like this post for plots )!

his name is 𝒚𝒖𝒏 𝒅𝒂𝒆𝒖𝒍. he was born on 20041002 in seoul, & someday, he hopes to become a main/lead vocalist, a singer-songwriter, & full-time hedonist...

daeul grew up in seoul as the son of a religious philanthropist / accountant, & a choir director. his family are devout catholics, & though he never enjoyed having to sit still for long hours in church, when he got old enough, he discovered his love of singing after joining his church's choir. his mother, its director, was overjoyed to see that she had something of a prodigy on her hands. she always bragged about how he must've been given the same musical gifts as her, a "blessing by god himself" if you will.

growing up, he learned quickly that, the likelihood of the people in his life accepting him for who he is was dramatically low, so he adjusted by painting on the most charming face he could, & keeping his real self hidden from them. there's truth to his charm, it's something he possesses to this day, but as a child, it was often amplified & used as mask. sadly, there was nothing more lethal-seeming to him than to be disliked or unloved. this is also something he possesses to this day.

for years, he appeased his parents & never focused on himself. when he wasn't at school or studying, he was working on his vocals, or he was attending piano lessons, or he was at church. all of his time was filled whatever they wanted him to do, & though their praise of him was nice to hear, he realized that it didn't feel meaningful. ever. their love started to feel superficial, & he was partly to blame. without realizing it, he manufactured himself into the perfect filial son, & the pressure of keeping that image up started to feel crushing.

where he truly found himself was in the hallways at school. an all boys' catholic school, at that ( it's giving bare: the musical / bare: a pop opera for all you musical theatre fans ). this is where he fell in love over & over again, where he wrote the best music he's ever written, & where he, strangely, felt more free than ever before. sure, the "freedom" he found was often in the form of sneaking around campus, hiding under bleachers, & staying after hours in the music room to kiss other boys, but it helped him put the pieces of himself together more.

then, he decided to be bold & audition for legacy entertainment. his boyfriend at the time encouraged him, saying that his voice was too good not to be heard on a wider scale, & feeling confident, he put his best foot forward & took a chance. little did they know, the company would decide to take a chance on him, as well. this is where his life changed entirely, & despite still being shackled to the strictness of a highly respected entity in the industry, he still feels more free than ever before. now, his entire life is steeped in music & creativity, & he's ultimately very happy; much happier than he was back at home.

now, how do his parents feel about all of this? well, they don't know about any of his high school shenanigans—thank goodness!—but in regard to his career as an idol, they're not very pleased. they miss him in church, as he's stopped going entirely, & they've noticed a change in him that they don't think is a positive one. unfortunately for them though, daeul strongly disagrees. he's never felt better. he wishes they were happy for him, but he's learning not to care so much about what they want for him.

no, this new chapter of life, he's vowed to focus on what he wants for himself. please wish him luck on this new journey forward!

as far as plots are concerned, i'd love anything & everything! i'm a sucker for plots that include a lot of depth. as for daeul, he's a fan of a lot of romance. it could take on many forms, be they past or present, & he'd eat 'em all up like they're spoonfuls of lemon & honey.

despite deciding to be more "selfish" after leaving home, he's still a good friend to have around. he's there for everyone he loves. he'd also love music collaborators, duet partners, literally anyone that fuels him creatively, & that he can fuel creatively, too.

i'm sure some of his relationships with people aren't ideal, & he's still rather uncomfortable with the idea of anyone disliking him. he tries so hard to be pleasant & keep the peace ( typical libra sun ), but i'm sure some people can sense that some of that is fake. feel free to give him a hard time about it.

other side of the coin, being that he enjoys the finger things in life, daeul can occasionally come across as snobbish. maybe he said or did something that pissed your muse off, or he came across really disconnected during a conversation; something!

BACKGROUND !!

Born october 4th, 2001. ( 1004, she asserts reflects her — it is an angel number after all )

Grew up in Gumi which is a smaller city just outside of Daegu.

Parents were high school sweethearts who waited to start a family until he finished his military service and she finished school. Mother was a flight attendant. Father is a former professional choreographer.

Family used to be fairly well off before the drastic change and her mother's medical bills became increasingly more expensive.

They eventually moved to Seoul in 2016 when her father got an opportunity to choreograph for an entertainment company.

Father gave up his career after his wife’s passing in 2019 to attend to a portable convenience stand by the Han River once owned by his own father. Their formerly close relationship grew estranged and tense rather quickly.

Used to be a competitive archer. Failed to make it on the national team multiple times, nevermind the Olympics. Became easily discouraged and decided to quit after an argument with her father. She even threatened to drop out of school unless she could join a company to focus on her dancing.

Before lgc, she joined an entertainment company while in high school only to get scammed into a trainee program and drained of almost all her money via their training debt scheme.

Waited until she graduated to audition for Legacy Entertainment. Somehow, she got in... and from there, she begins to change a bit as a person.

PERSONALITY & MORE !!

Works at an arcade/PC Bang for now. She likes to sneak in a nap in the dinosaur safari VR machine.

She uses the nerf gun and water gun from the prize table to ward off unwanted guests or customers who overstay their welcome. Careful, she has great aim.

Oddly good at fixing things ( to a certain extent ), a trait she picked up from her brother who has a penchant for inventing. Being practical helps quite a bit, though.

She is no stranger to putting on an act to get something for free. a convincing & skilled liar. she even stole someone’s phone once to sell but will never admit this. jokes about needing a glucose guardian but never say never.

Tendency to be flirtatious. offers compliments — sincere & underhanded.

Only actually been in one serious relationship that she considers was worthwhile & lacks the motivation to pursue anything else. Often finds herself leading people on but falls for people easily as she's rather susceptible to romantic gestures, then forces herself to lose interest when things get a little too spicy.

Good listener. Purveyor of gossip. Collects many rumors, rarely spills to anyone. Tell things to her at your own risk. She will hardly speak a word about her own background ( and will even lie sometimes ) but is content to know everything about everyone else.

Has a good sense of humor and able to laugh at herself.

Actually kinda lazy about everything unless it's dancing. She just likes to say she's just laid back.

Speaking of dancing, she is especially into the art of waacking/tutting/vogueing, as she finds the elegant precision to be appealing and especially fun to do.

Very opinionated & can come across judgmental for her willingness to speak her mind, Notorious for reacting with her face ( ie. side eyeing ).

An introvert. Also claims to really hate people but is naturally social despite this.

Often plays a vain character, usually an exaggerated version of herself ( channeling Goddess Gyuri & Mijoo ) — perhaps to compensate for or conceal… something. Part of it being that she enjoys entertaining people with her antics. It is not rare to catch a glimpse at her "real self" but it's hard to even say what that even is.

Calm but when she's memeing and being crazy, she becomes unhinged. Like so.

A bit fickle & indecisive, sometimes allowing her impulses to take control of a decision ... or out of pure spite.

Had a time where she was so desperate for money, that she was willing to lie to get freebies or sympathy discounts. But we don't talk about that time anymore. It was just a phase.

Not malicious by any means but it is easy to interpret her actions as such. She desires attention and love in this aftermath of her life plummeting, and just goes about it in a rather unconventional way.

Hates people who smoke. Her mother's lung cancer being the main cause. If you smoke any substance, prepare for to be side-eyed and judged.

Lastly, she is @lgcxnoeul's weirdo cousin.

CONNECTIONS ??

anyone who comes to the arcade/pc bang. she's almost always there. bonus points if you're a bit of a menace or you want to challenge her to a game. the possibilities with this one are pretty endless!

flirtationships a plenty. applicable to any gender; she certainly does not discriminate. she is the type to unabashedly flirt, compliment people, or make flirtatious jokes. ( however when the heat comes, she usually resorts to aloof behavior and runs away. )

obviously people will be put off by her antics so frenemies and antis alike are welcome! antagonistic or toxic relationships are welcome in general.

gossip friend. what is said between us stays between us ... of other people's rumors, of course. but it's best to be careful who to trust with secrets.

fake friends. speaks for itself. mutually beneficial, forced laughter, eye rolls when the other looks away. she's been entrenched in this fake friend group just for the laughs

an ex. she's only dated one person in a serious way before and it didn't turn out too well... or it ended amicably. who knows? was a rather innocent relationship but it broke her heart. happened shortly after she joined lgc in 2020 or overlapped. discussion is required!!!

that being said, she most likely had a couple flings here and there that lasted a short time. she's prone to running away or getting "bored".

jokingly, she always says she wants a "glucose guardian" and you are the perfect candidate. she constantly convinces you to buy things for her ( mostly bubble tea ) or you might even do so willingly. either way, it makes her happy.

she has a "dark past" ( not so distant... maybe 5 days ago is considered the past ) in which she tried to fleece people out of money just to get by. don't look at her if she might have pretended to fall in front of you for sympathy, too.

this is vague but... people she can assist with dancing in any way or their overall confidence.

people who know her real personality and are tired of her putting on this strange over confident persona.

hi hello and thank you for the welcomes i received so far! sorry i'm a little late, i was busy watching my football team lose 💔 so joining something new couldn't come at a better time for me!

Ayo! I'm Gabi (h/th), and from this point onward, I'll be writing Lee Jiuk (h/h, 2002 liner)! He's that one annoying jock that, no matter how much you tried to hate him in high school, you just couldn't. He makes you think of the simpler days of pep rallies and playing H.O.R.S.E. with your friends, especially when he smiles, and though he's competitive, he practices good sportsmanship; making him an asset to any team he's on. Sure, he can be a little crass, brutally honest, and insensitive, but he genuinely has no malicious intent. A lovable head-ass, if I do say so myself. Lee Jiuk had a relatively simple upbringing. His parents, though stoic, loved him very much and were proud of his athletic accomplishments. His dad jokes that he ran before he walked, and that he dove headfirst into the water much younger than any of his peers, bravely teaching himself to swim. They knew he'd do great things, and while he didn't get the best grades, they were good enough to keep him on his teams. He's dabbled in volleyball, track and field, basketball, football, and swimming; the latter three being the first loves of his life. LGC Entertainment scouted him for his visuals one month prior to his high school graduation, and he's been focusing on succeeding there for the time being, all while attending classes at Korea National Sport University.

PERSONALITY

Not to be obnoxious, but Jiuk is really fucking cool. I even get annoyed by how likable he is. Does he have his faults? Of course. For example, he's not someone who deeply considers someone's feelings before speaking, and as he's a brutally honest individual, some of his opinions or thrown-in two cents can come across as hurtful to those who are more sensitive, but he's never mean. He's frank, not callous. Maybe this makes him somewhat careless, too, but he personally sees it as him standing by his word.

He's also an adventurous person, someone who never says "no" to trying new things. He's the type who'll one day decide he wants to go sky diving or bungee jumping just because, and he'll drag you out with him even if you have a fear of heights. He doesn't care if you're scared. He'll say that he'll protect you; that this will be a fun once-in-a-lifetime experience and you'll be dumb if you passed on it; that he wants to spend time with you and make this memory with you. His charm works, which is the irritating part.

Can he be a a bit of a tool sometimes? I mean, yeah. Like all men, he can be a dog. He may be a golden retriever boyfriend, but that doesn't mean he's not weak when it comes to his own desires. This also makes him vain. He wants to look good, knows it only makes life easier to be striking; handsome. He works out, still plays sports in his downtime, and adores being active. He's confident enough to understand why he was scouted by LGC Entertainment. This said, he's somewhat superficial, too. He appreciates beauty in others, especially the men pique his interest.

back at it again with another muse. if you've not connected the dots, hi i'm bee-- the mun behind jasper! ( jaemin fc, aka @lgcxjasper). i couldn't help myself and brought lovely emi here, but you can call her em, or mimi if you're really cute. she's a bit of a firecracker, but she's fun, and will work her ass off to get to where she needs to be. as usually, like/reply to this post and i'll reach out to connect! i'm usually always on discord, just ask for my user!

meet emi, though most people just call her em, and if you've been allowed to call her mimi consider it a privilege. she's been at legacy for a few years and a solid amount of that time has been absolutely working until she can't stand in order to prove she does belong here. the rest of that time is spent living a live she didn't have the privilege of before, having the time of her life, frankly.

she's an 01 liner, 22 years old and has been at legacy since july of 2021. she auditioned in january as well, but was rejected and told to work on her confidence, and so she did exactly that to land a spot and be unforgettable the next time.

she's from nagoya, born and raised until she was able to audition, officially moving to seoul. yes, she can speak in dialect, though she knows the tokyo dialect as well.

she's japanese-korean, as her dad was korean, so she knows the language just as well. she was constantly practicing and keeping her fluency which was perfect, considering she's found herself at legacy.

(tw: parental death, single-parenting, emotional trauma, pregnancy) speaking of daddy dearest, she lost her dad when she was 8, nearly 9 years old suddenly. her little sister was only one at the time, and her mom worked tirelessly to make sure her daughters had the best possible life they could.

... which proved to be easier said than done. emi's life was less than cushiony, and it's even more of a reason to make it and debut in anyway she can. she wants to make sure her sister can do whatever she wants, and repay her mom for all the sacrifices she made to make sure they were okay, even if they weren't in the best of situations.

she has plans to be a true ace in the industry, though right now she excels in vocals, performance and dance. she likes showing how much she's improved, and while she's definitely had criticism, it doesn't get her down, only fuels her to be better each and every time. she's gotten to the point where she even loves evaluations.

got to seoul and really had a chance to shine and have a bit of fun, and... that may be a bit of an understatement. she's blossomed a lot being on her own and going to school and training. she's made friends and foes, seen some debut and head back home, but she has no plans on stopping. when she's not training she's playing video games, shooting hoops, reading, or simply just hanging out.

emi is full of energy, but she's not all sunshine and roses either. she's sweet, but she doesn't go out of her way to make friends or go to places she's not wanted. she will get along with everyone until they give her a reason not to, but she loves to drink and have a good time AND still make it early to practices. sort of a tough cookie to crack unless you're really close to her. absolutely loves to laugh and finds a hard time staying still. she's also a severe flirt and thrives on competition.

she's a look into what happens when someone who grew up with a parent that spoiled and lived almost entirely through them escapes the nest and has to learn what to do with all that fancy new autonomy. she's pretty deep into her journey and very headstrong because of it, but still has a lot of room to grow

cold but spunky?

hyein is someone who moves at her own pace; she's pretty calm and collected externally, most of the time. internally, she's a little bit of a rollercoaster, but she's got a good poker face.

great sense of humor, albeit dry. you really either get it or you don't, but she finds herself very amusing and WILL laugh at her own jokes ☝️

surprisingly clumsy, if she's holding something there is a roughly 80% chance she will either drop or almost-drop it. either way, you didn't see it...

she values her autonomy and is a firm believer in questioning authority. kind of in the "punk" way, but mostly in the "child who grew up with a helicopter parent" way

her mother was both an almond mom and a stage mom, and would probably be a momager too if hyein hadn't cut the cord in college

control freak, probably

hyein went from being a child who almost never cried to a woman who cries with just about any bout of intense emotion. sadness, anger, happiness, fear, excitement, she's, at the very least, tearing up a little.

if you ask her a question or for legitimate feedback, she's going to answer honestly, and if that's not something you're ready for, you should probably ask somebody else first. she used to be a lot worse; when she was younger, consequences were almost non-existent, but as an adult, she's come to understand that there's a time and place for bluntness. it's still most times and most places, but she's not as harsh about it and really tries to consider the way she comes across. especially if the person is someone she cares about. or there's a camera lol

a lot of her worst behaviors are probably posturing for self-preservation honestly

i say that, but she's also surprisingly very good with people, in general - call it the gift of gab (or being the daughter of a lawyer) or some innate magnetic quality. she's got a strong mix of charisma, confidence and presence that makes it pretty easy for her to take the reigns in most situations

she's really proud of the things that come naturally to her, if she didn't have to work hard to be good at something, she's not going to pretend she did but she'll also totally absorb any and all praise about it

as far as things she isn't as naturally good at goes, she's a functional perfectionist, so what she lacks in effort for the things she's already good at, she pours into trying to be just as good in her weaknesses

this isn't a personality trait but she has the incredible super power of girl-ifying boy group choreography. like she's so Girl!

the story

i have her bio in like two different places on her page, so i won't put it here a third time but i'll give you a quick rundown if you don't feel like reading it!

she's the incredibly loved child of divorced parents; her father is a lawyer, her mother is a sonographer, and she grew up very indulged and never had to want for much of anything

it was apparent very early on that her mother had positioned hyein as something for her to live out all of her failed dreams through. so, being that she'd failed as a dancer, hyein was put into dance classes as soon as she could walk. which she hated!

despite this, she carried on with it because it made her mom happy and she was good enough at it that it wasn't really something she was stressed out about. plus, once she started doing it competitively, she discovered that she really liked the attention that came with performing

once it came time for college, she decided to do her own thing and majored in acting (because, well. she's pretty and can cry on command, and wasn't delusional enough to believe she'd make it very far as a real dancer. she also really enjoyed the art of film and photography as a whole anyway, so she saw it being a field she could grow into long-term), joining the cheering squad as an extracurricular to keep her mom satiated

the summer of her first year, she auditioned for legacy as an act of defiance after an argument with her mom (something something stop being so controlling im an adult now something something) but actually wound up getting in so!!! here we are! her ambitions are ever-growing and her focus is ever-shifting, but her current fixation is acting with a sub-interest in being an idol.

wanted plots

the unholy trinity - bffs - gorgeous gorgeous girls who are a little bit awful, but love each other very much. most of the time.

black pearl - ex / close friend - hyein hasn't done much in the way of relationships, but she's experienced enough to know when something good comes around. this person saw the good in her at a time where she could hardly see it in herself and, because of that, they'll always hold a very special place in her heart. even now, they're a friend that she considers to be one of the only people who truly knows her.

hot to go! - crush? - hyein is just really stupidly attracted to this person. she's not actively of the mind that it'll go anywhere, in fact she's kind of certain that it won't, what with how fickle her feelings can be, but she's not shy about it.

spicy - someone who has a crush on hyein - she loves being wanted, so i could see this being a push-and-pull kind of thing where this muse never really knows entirely where she stands, but she leaves their interactions up for interpretation just enough to keep them interested and the fantasy alive lol

no angel - enemy - this person is really up their own ass with moral superiority and makes sure that hyein knows it. hyein thinks they're a total hypocrite.

butterfly - i'm not sure what precisely to call this dynamic, but it's someone that hyein sees, not necessarily a naivety but, a purity in that she wants to preserve, because it's hard to believe that someone can truly be that good. and it's so easy to lose some of that good in this line of work, so in the least condescending and patronizing way possible, she's kind of adopted a responsibility / protectiveness over them in some way or another. they make her want to do better.

also, of course, the usual standard plot jump-offs are definitely a want and need! i'm pretty flexible as far as getting the ball rolling goes!

shion has this really bad habit of scribbling new song lyrics & lines of poetry he thinks of on literally anything he can get his hands on. this includes the whites on his sneakers, the corners of old newspapers, the palms of his hands, the notes app in his phone, & sometimes even the backside of important paperwork the company gives him. it bums him out so bad whenever he forgets what pops into his brain, so anytime inspiration hits him like a ton o’ bricks, he needs to write it down & carries at least one pen with him at all times.

on his pages, i’ve described him has “slow-paced” many times, & there’s a reason for that. he will never rush to do anything, no matter how important it is. he’s a firm believer in slow & steady wins the race — acting more like a tortoise, but resembling a hare... i see you, shion — & takes his sweet time with everything. whether it’s getting ready in the morning, eating his dinner, learning a song, or even cleaning his side of the dorm, he works sluggishly. things will get done, & his work will often be great, but he does it on his own terms.

branching off from above, he can be somewhat stubborn & stuck in his ways. he takes a long time to make decisions & that’s because he puts way too much thought into them, but once his mind is made up, it rarely changes. if people disagree with him, he’s comfortable with that as he’s patient enough to hear out & respect different povs, but he’s not known to budge from his opinions. this has gotten him into some light trouble in the past, but nothing major.

shion is a huuuuge sucker for romance, & themes of all types of romance, love, passion, heartbreak, etc. are explored in his poems & lyrics. however, the kicker here is that he’s never actually been in a relationship himself. ╥﹏╥ it’s something he’s always wanted, but ya know — being a gay kid in japan ( & now in south korea ) isn’t easy, & his shyness works against him here, too. he daydreams about what it’s like to have a boyfriend all the time, & his sweet little heart falls for people very easily. he’s kinda pathetic in a way, but it’s outta his control.

really, he’s still very young & he’s very much still figuring himself out, & he’s making mistakes, & learning lessons, & flopping, & failing, & basically doing literally everything he should be doing at his age, & i’m just here to help him grow in this verse. if your muse wants to take part in his journey in anyway — like literally anyway i mean that; the good, the bad, & the ugly, i want it all — lmk & we can figure it out together ! (*>ω<*)

i love the idea of shion having a found family, if you will. people in his life who he’s not related to, but who feel like sisters, & brothers, & cousins, etc. those he can lean on if he needs a breather from training, those he can cheer up when they’re feeling upset, & those who can help him become the person he’s meant to be. if your muse has, like, parental instincts, even, they could just “adopt” shion as their own, like ig it, he is pretty babie in the grand scheme of things. (⋟﹏⋞) gimme gimme !

as it’s a dream of his to become a main ( or lead ) vocal of a k-pop boy group someday, shion wants to make sure that his efficiency with the korean language is up-to-par, especially his pronunciation while singing. he knows it’s crucial to have clear diction, & since korean isn’t his native tongue, he’s really leaned on your muse to pick up the basics. he’s very patient & will take these lessons seriously, but you’ll have to forgive him if he nods off from time-to-time. maybe this could even turn into real friendship !

maybe your muse & shion got into an argument when they were working on something together, & ever since that moment, things have never really been the same. shion is admittedly really awful with confrontation, & his stubbornness can sometimes make him hotheaded if he does lose his patience. it’s rare that he does, but it happens once in a blue moon. to make the scenario more broad, the point of this is that i think it’d be great for shion to have some conflict in his life. it’ll be interesting to see how he responds, so if you have other ideas for how this could happen, lmk. up for anything !

i would adooore for shion to have a big dopey crush on someone (─‿‿─)♡ this also doesn’t have to turn into anything deep, i just think it’d be fun for him to think the world of someone in that way, & write silly songs/poems about them, & be all (´♡‿♡`) when they’re around. feelings could be mutual, not returned, or it could even end in some kinda confession/heartbreak scenario, like, idc... give him something to write ab, please ! literally begging you rn, #shameless ! c’monnnn just think of how cute it’d be... 

other japanese muses that remind him of home would be awesome tbh. he’d love being able to be homesick with them, & think about their childhoods, & dip into some good ol’ fashioned nostalgia here & there. maybe they can go out to traditional japanese restaurants in the city whenever they can or something cute like that, too; bond over shared cultures & stuff !

just kidding, he's actually just some cheerful guy from a rural city in canada, here to try out his luck. where did all of his optimism come from? well, he must have soaked up a lot of sunshine while picking through the blueberry fields during the summer time.

CHILDHOOD.

seyoon's parents divorced soon after he was born. neither of them wanted the kid, but one had a softer heart than the other. seyoon's dad took him back to canada, and raised him with the help of grandparents and experienced neighbors. he remarried a few years later, to a woman who had more gentleness in her eyes. she treated seyoon well, taking care of him as if he was her own.

but it wasn't enough. when he was old enough to learn he was born from another, seyoon insisted on sending a letter to his real mom. his birth mother responded right away, but his step mother hid the letter until he was much older because the words in there would have been too cruel for a child.

seyoon played in the blueberry fields with his step siblings. healthy, energetic, and adored by all the elderly nearby. he liked bears, and his grandmother would hand stitch a bear onto every piece of his clothing item. she knitted him sweaters and scarves, socks and gloves. she told him that he was her favorite.

grandma was the only one who reassured him like that, though. did his dad really love him if he was willing to let him go once? could a step mother truly see him as an actual son? did his snuggly lil step siblings know they weren't actually related by blood?

TEENAGE YEARS.

tw: implied suicide

average academically, but great at sports. seyoon/abie (his english name) was well liked by his peers and made tons of friends. he's out socialing five out of seven nights of the week, and so popular that kids from the nearby schools knew him. both of his ex-girlfriends were really smart and total knockouts.

but he wasn't there for someone who desperately needed him. twelve calls on that night and he never picked up. he cried at the funeral, asher, but he forgot about you not too long after. you don't blame him, do you? you want him to move on, right?

end of tw.

ADULTHOOD.

after high school, his birth mother wanted him to visit so they can reconnect-

he resented her.

-and he said sure, why not! because seyoon understood it was not good to hold onto negative emotions, and that he should forgive people for their mistakes. seoul was a beautiful big city and he fell in love! his mother asked him if he would stay with her in korea, at least for a while longer and he agreed.

it's not like he loved the apartment she rented for him or anything...but it was fucking gorgeous. with giant windows and high ceiling, the most wonderful view at night time. it was worth saying goodbye to his family back home...at least for a little while.

seyoon worked at a fried chicken place for two years, practicing his korean and getting to know the city. took some dance classes on the side for fun.

his mother paid for those classes. she married wealthy and could afford to be kind now.

in 2022, he joined legacy and it's been fun so far. seyoon loves singing and dancing and making people smile!

PLOTS.

there's sincerity in silence - he's not smiling when he comforted you on that particularly rough day, and that's how you know it was real.

oh hey, is that my ex? - awkward reunion? he's acting nonchalant, so maybe we are still be friends? [female, must have been in canada at some point]

even on the longest day, the sun must surrender to darkness - kim seyoon has a problem with nightmares? he mumbles the same name but doesn't seem to recall a wink of it by the next morning. you, as his dormmate, is really troubled. or maybe you just want some goddamn sleep. [must be in the same dorm as him]

knock knock knocking on your heart - is a smile enough to make you fall in love? even if it only lasts for...45 seconds?

would you backstab a friend? - your character got some sort of injury or sickness that affected an important evaluation and my character has something to do with it. maybe he accidentally made you twist your ankle or gave you spicy soup that temporarily rip'd your voice. there's no way he would do such a thing on purpose, right?

sleep spell - your character suffers from insomnia, and seyoon's quietly hummed lullaby can put them to sleep. [same dorm preferred]

i know what you did - your character believes seyoon knows one of their secrets and...well, the guy seems kinda loose mouth wise. maybe y'all should have a discussion and make sure he doesn't spill

hello again, legacy. thank you for the welcomes, but i regret to inform you that i am not new, and that this is merely eri ( she/they, 21+ ), lgcjiae & lgckiha’s typist, coming back for round two with my third muse. i am convinced though that this one, is going to be a keeper. funnily enough, i had intentions to bring liz from ive since december ‘22 — but then xg’s shooting star mv happened and my beloved lgcsomi got sidelined for lgcarisa. anyways, meet kato arisa, a japanese-american esfj scorpio from austin, texas. she still has elements of this said liz muse though, so it’s not a total loss. she’s a bit of a wild child, but i hope you come to love her as much as i do!

born kato arisa on november 20, 2002 ( 201102, see what i did there? ) in tokyo, japan to second time parents— her mother is a university level english and japanese teacher while her father is an equine veterinarian. she has one older brother, asahi ( born in ‘99, also born in tokyo ). lgcakio is arisa’s cousin ( akio’s mom was arisa’s mom’s sister ).

grew up living rather comfortably in a nice house on the outskirts of tokyo for the first eight years of her life. her father was able to operate his veterinarian clinic while her mother was able to teach at the university of tokyo. this left arisa and her brother to attend their cushy private school growing up. 

when arisa was eight years old, an opportunity came up in the united states for arisa’s mother ( teaching japanese at a university, in contrast to the english she had been teaching ) — the katos relocated to austin, texas in the united states.

somewhere along here i should mention that growing up, arisa had an immense love & passion for animals, and in particular, horses — she began riding at around four or five years old at a riding school near her father’s veterinarian clinic. she is truly horse girl.

her earliest dream was pursuing veterinary science like her father and becoming an equine vet, however as arisa matured ( with her passions & interests ), she eventually decided she wanted to become an equestrian and represent either japan or the united states at an international level ( arisa was and still is a talented rider and horsewoman, both in terms of riding and handling horses )

once her and her family were settled in their new home and city, arisa got her own horse— whom she affectionately named maki. she began competing with him and the two of them were inseparable. when she wasn’t at school or studying, she was probably riding.

( tw animal death ) the reasons behind this out of character are a little cloudy, but maki got sick and unfortunately had to be put down, which devastated sixteen year old to the point of her quitting. she stopped riding. she convinced everyone else and herself that she no longer had any interest in horses, riding or competing.

essentially reinvented herself. got into makeup, fashion, beauty, skincare and fitness in hopes that she would find something that made her feel happy again. it didn’t work.

arisa coasted through the rest of her high school years until she graduated, and as she was no longer “interested” in becoming an equine vet and/or competing, she gave up on pursuing a tertiary education. instead, arisa packed up her life, deciding to chase what her parents deemed a shallow, unfulfilling dream in seoul, south korea. 

present day — it’s been two years of arisa training at legacy entertainment.

extroverted, loves to socialise and gossip 

speaks english & japanese fluently, can somewhat navigate a conversation in korean

comes across as fake and superficial, but is actually a really nice person

she use to snowboard when visiting her cousins in sapporo ( wasn’t very good )

she additionally travelled to japan like two times a year when she was growing up
