On NOVEMBER 18, contestants are brought back in the studio for the first time since the first day of filming. they are instructed to sit in their initial ranking chairs. shortly after everybody is seated, bae siwoo makes his entrance. just like on october 7, he takes the time to converse with the trainees a bit before cameras officially start rolling. this time, he is accompanied by the coaches who have been teaching and monitoring the progress of the trainees during the past weeks.

after a short introduction for the camera, he moves on to the reason why everybody is gathered here; solos and positions. “we will begin with the girls!” he announces. “the choice wasn’t easy and some of you have surprised us while others have disappointed us.” those heavy words are marked by a short pause. “before we continue, do you want to hear the song?” he waits for the trainees’ reply before cuing the music and revealing the GIRL’S SOLO. after the short 30 seconds snippet, siwoo speaks again; “let’s reveal our top 3 girls...” the face of JUNG MISO appears on a wide screen; “first; number 6, jung miso. our child actress chanel jung, who’s catched the attention with her strong expression and visuals. next...” the screen splits and appears HUANG XIYU “second; number 9, huang xiyu. also known as alice, she’s the strongest dancer in the group and shows versatility with talent in singing and rapping. and last but not least...“ a third face appears on the face with them; KANG JINA. “third is kang jina. the only third year trainee of the lot. she’s definitely one of our strongest singers on the girl’s side. so who gets it? let’s see the result.” he points to the screen again and after a short moment of suspense, jung miso and huang xiyu disappear, leaving only KANG JINA. “Congratulations to kang jina! kim youngim and the trainers have noted that your skills match the solo very well. you might find a bit of challenge in the rap part, but we’ll look forward to the result.”

he gives everyone a chance to react to the announcement before all attention turns to the male trainees. “and now for the boys! before i proceed with the results, let’s make you wait a little longer by presenting the song…” he smiles mysteriously and the studio falls silent except for the 30 second preview of the BOY’S SOLO. “who will be the top three contenders?” right as he pauses, everyone can see KANG JUN’s face appear on the screens. “first; number 9, kang jun! a young trainee no doubt, but still a well-rounded competitor with high skill in singing, dancing and rapping. next is…” siwoo begins, letting the trainees see KANG YONGHWA appear on the screen with kang jun. “number 7, kang yonghwa! he’s no doubt one of the strongest dancers in this competition, but has been able to impress with his singing and performing skills. and finally…” attention is brought to the screen again, and right in the middle appears AHN JAESUN. “number 2, ahn jaesun. he’s trained the longest among everyone here and has been able to show the trainers it wasn’t in vain. a charismatic performer indeed, skilled in both singing and dancing. and now...” while everyone expects siwoo to announce the winner, a fourth face appears on the screen, shocking everyone. it’s LEE JIHO. “yes, number 10, lee jiho. trainers were supposed to choose only three contenders, but this young trainee impressed a lot as both a singer and performer. not to be underestimated. sadly, there’s no one else! while you four impressed these past weeks, only one of you can get this solo. the winner is…” there’s a deafening silence during which all eyes are glued to the screen showing the three boys. and suddenly, ahn jaesun, lee jiho and kang jun disappear. “KANG YONGHWA! congratulations. the trainers thought your image and skills fit the concept of the song very well. they hope this vocal challenge will push your limits even further. work hard, and we’ll see the results very soon.”

“while those results might be heaven for some of you and hell for others, this is not over. in a short moment you will receive lyrics distributions for the songs you’ve been practicing until now. we will reveal right away some crucial positions and final lineup. for the boys. AHN JAESUN  is named overall leader of the LEGACY BOYS and GEUM DANBI of LEGACY GIRLS. we will trust you with overseeing rehearsals and making sure every performance is up to standard. TSAI KING is named face and center of the LEGACY BOYS and HIT while YAMADA HIMEKO will be the same of LEGACY GIRLS and ADIOS. your position doesn’t end with a song; you will be front and center of promotion materials for the group. due to the lineup changes and LINE DISTRIBUTION (BOYS & GIRLS) finally revealed, trainees are given the rest of the week to adjust. they will then head to the recording booth and film mvs for all songs. finally, on DECEMBER 22 the trainees will hold a mini concert in front of an audience of 750 people where they will perform all 7 songs. the songs will be released on DECEMBER 27 digitally and DECEMBER 30 physically. trainees will promote both main songs (HIT and ADIOS) on tv shows for a week and KANG JINA and KANG YONGHWA will each promote their respective songs the following week. we will reveal details concerning post future dreams promotions at a later date.

@lgcparkdohyun​ // the cameras were always rolling backstage, and on stage. this is something that hyunjin has trained himself to be hyper-aware of, and thus, bathrooms were probably now his favourite place in the entire universe as he never knew if there was a hidden camera even in his own dorm. they’re backstage now, nerves still a prevalent feeling. 750 people. that was a nice crowd, especially for a rookie stage. amazing that they wanted to see all of them. he hoped that the performances would run smoothly and they’d do well. they were third up. soon dalla dalla would be up, and then his group. 

deep breaths, deep breaths. hyunjin went over to the prep table, reaching for the innisfree lipbalm in wild hibiscus, dabbing some on before looking over and spotting dohyun, unable to stop himself from laughing as he felt so caught in the act. “i think i bit my lipbalm off, hyung.”  he knows he’s in ear shot of the candid cameras everywhere, and of management. “do we have to head out soon to the back? i think my heartrate is already increasing, oh my gosh.”

TRAINEE MISSION 001, PART 001

for trainees not taking part in the show only ( your muse cannot be taking part in legacy project: future dream at any time, even if they become debut ready at a later date )

the company might be busy with the show, they haven’t forgotten about their other trainees. in fact, they even have decided to give them missions of their own in order to develop them faster.

MISSION 1: PERFORMING

just like many other entertainment companies, legacy entertainment owns an official cafe. while others aimed for modern looks or organic food choices, legacy decided to give its cafe a classy and cozy feel with a lighter twist on the “jazz bar” style. on everyday of the week, young and/or emerging talents are invited to perform for the costumers. for the month of NOVEMBER, trainees are invited to take the stage to perform 5 songs, either alone or in groups of two. whichever option they pick, they may only appear on one day.

from SEPTEMBER 29 to NOVEMBER 1, trainees are freed from their usual schedules and left to manage their own time. however, they must respect their training hours! evaluations on saturdays are used to measure their progress and give keypointers on what to work on for the rest of the week. with so much preparation time given to them, expectations are running high and coaches will be present every night to see the final stages!

please note that we do not require you to post the setlist performed but if you wish to do it, feel free to! you may safely pick any song from 2017 and older. if you wish to use a more recent song, please ask the staff, just in case a song is planned to be used in the future!

MISSION 2: PRODUCING

the company has noticed that many of their trainees have interest in composing their own music and/or writing their own lyrics. for the next three months, once a week, they will be given a one hour lesson in music composition and a one hour lesson of lyric writing. on top of those lessons, legacy has given the trainees extra homework:

trainees with at least 100 points in music and/or lyric composition may write and/or compose a song on their own. for the song to be fully composed by them, they need to have 100 in both categories.

trainees with at least 50 points in music and/or lyric composition may write and/or compose a song with the coaches’ assistance.

trainees with less than 50 points in both categories will be invited to watch one of the senior idols (kim youngim, yang joshua, choi daehyun, kim hyunbin or seo haneul) work in studio for two hours.

please do not claim any real song from this exercise. while it’s okay to have a song inspiration for your trainee, no song will be ‘blocked’ from use through this. there will be other occasions for trainees to canon songs in the future, we promise!

SEASON 001, PART 001

The word is out; starting from OCTOBER 31ST, tvM will be airing LEGACY PROJECT: FUTURE DREAMS, a nine-week survival show based around Legacy Entertainment’s trainees.

Early morning, on OCTOBER 7TH, trainees who signed up for the show are picked up at the the dorms to head to the hair salon. After getting their hair and makeup done, they are taken to a CJ ENM studio. Before they can head to the main studio, the staff has set up three rooms where trainees are taken individually and asked to introduce themselves and talk about their feelings towards taking on this new adventure. They are then instructed to either go in on their own or in small groups (same gender only). 

Once they enter the main studio, they can see that not one but TWO PYRAMIDS of chairs facing each other await the trainees –– one with blue lighting for the boys, and one with pink lighting for the girls. Unlike the produce series, trainees learn, upon entering the room, that legacy has already assigned them a number. They are tasked to find their place and initial ranking for the beginning of the show. 

Once all trainees are seated, Bae Siwoo makes his grand entrance. He takes the time to engage with the trainees to make them laugh and relax a little bit before before going back to his script. His first announcement is that, this season, the show is not a survival but a competition for a SOLO TRACK. Although this doesn't guarantee a solo career under Legacy, the winners will both, one guy and one girl, receive a solo song. Participation in this season also doesn’t mean an official debut; contestants will still be considered trainees at the end of it.

The second announcement is that, in addition to this, they will have to prepare for the 'trademark songs' of the Legacy trainees –– their own versions of ‘Pick Me' songs.

The last announcement is revealed after a short pause in order to keep the suspense going during the broadcast; training groups will also all receive their own song. Even though each training group will receive a song, they are tasked to also learn the two others in case of any group switches.

Trainees are then introduced to the guest coaches who will be in charge of them for the next two months. Filming for the day ends on that note and, after another comment session where trainees are asked about how they feel about their current ranking and the mission, they are sent back to the dorms. They will not be returning to the studio before November 18 when parts will be officially distributed and winners of the solos will be revealed. Until then, they will go back to training at Legacy Entertainment's main building, although on a different floor, in more modern and bigger training rooms. 

Their official working hours are from Monday to Friday, from 2PM until 10PM. Cameras will roll from 12PM to 12AM on those days. They are paid weekly 500,000 won. When coaches are around, usually, the first 3.5 hours are dedicated to dancing and the last 3.5 hours are dedicated to singing with a one hour break.

Throughout week 5, trainees will be reviewed individually by the coaches for the main song, assigned training group song and solo performance. While the event will last for a period of THREE MONTHS, a second part will be posted on NOVEMBER 17TH. Line distributions, solo winners, official recording schedules (expect last weeks of November), MV filming schedules (expect first weeks of December) and more will be revealed at that time.

There are a total of FIVE REQUIREMENTS for this event, three of which will be revealed tonight. Mandatory requirements are marked by stars (**). Except for one requirement in PART 002, fulfilling a requirement equals to appearing in 2 episodes. Therefore, by meeting all 5 requirements, a trainee will have appeared in all 9 episodes of this season. Use the hashtag lgc:futuredreams for everything related to this event.

at the suggestion of one of our members, we are announcing our first VLIVE PROMPT !

this vlive will be the first time outside of the original introduction video in which trainees will get a chance to showcase a little bit of their day to the public. it’s no surprise then that the prompt of this first vlive is “A DAY IN THE LIFE OF ...”. 

each trainee will get up to TEN minutes to show whatever part of their day that they’d like to show to the public ( this can be snippets of various parts of the day or one long continuous segment ). however, please note that all filmed segments will be monitored by the company before they are published to the vlive platform. this means that anything that is not permitted by the company will not be aired.

a new mission has been announced for trainees not taking part in legacy project: future dreams. 

for the upcoming weeks, the trainees who are not participating in future dreams will practice a special performance dedicated to the upcoming holiday season. during the mini concert of future dreams taking place on DECEMBER 22 at 7PM, these trainees will take the stage to perform two holiday inspired songs in choir mode. these songs will not be broadcasted on television and will be for the people at the venue only, but it doesn’t mean they should slack off as all eyes will be on them during this instant. 

The songs they will perform are:

Miracles in December ( male trainees )

there will be no solo parts in these songs, and the trainees will harmonize according to their vocal tone.

open to trainees participating in the future dreams show

product placement is a way many brands choose to advertise themselves when they partner with company. trainees participating in the television show will therefore be asked to present various products while on camera. please note that it isn’t in a commercial form and that they will need to find ‘natural’ ways to talk about these products or showcase them in a frame. whether it’s the camera zooming in on them tying up their sponsored shoes before practice, or touching up their makeup with a sponsored product, be as creative as you want without making it too obvious

in order to fulfill this gig, you will need to incorporate the product in one of your written requirements for the show (excluding the performance solo). it serves as a bonus to insert in one of your solos or threads. for example, you could write as little as ‘he was very thirsty after the dance routine so he sat down and drank all of his eska bottled water’. by doing so, your trainee will gain +5 modeling points, +1 notoriety point and 50,000 won.

the products to be displayed are the following:

subway sandwiches (brought by bae siwoo during the first week)

eska bottled water (from the very first day)

binggrae banana milk (given as a snack during practice)

maxibon fish & cheese sausages (given as a snack during practice)

innisfree lip balms (in various colors, given as a gift on the second day)

while you are free to incorporate more than one in your writing if you wish, you won’t gain any more points for doing so. the deadline for this gig is december 29 at 11:59pm EST (like the part 1 of the show), but you may include it with the requirements due on november 10 at 11:59pm EST also depending on which solo or thread you choose. you don’t have to submit anything separately, but you must specifiy in which solo or thread you wrote about the product when submitting your points for the show.

GIG OPPORTUNITY 003.

with the hallyu wave growing more each other, legacy wants to step up its game and communicate better with fans from other countries. during the month of october, they will seek the help of all multilingual trainees to film a video that will be posted on legacy’s vlive and youtube channels. their mission is simple: promote the future dreams project and their main platforms (vlive, youtube and instagram), in a language other than korean. 

they will be brought into a small room, standing in front of a plain, white wall with the blue legacy logo in the middle. they must be fluent enough in the other language to communicate clearly. while not given a script so that their personalities remain as authentic as possible, each video will be reviewed so that it doesn’t exceed 30 seconds and sounds professional and respectful.

to participate, your muse must have at least 50 points in a language other than korean. only languages where they have at least 50 points can be used for this video.

if your muse has at least 50 points in more than one language, you can only choose one language for the entire video, which means if they’re fluent in more than one, they can’t switch during the video. please write a solo of 250 words minimum of your trainee filming their promotional video in order to claim +5 points in the language they used for the video (if it’s already at 100 points, you may choose another language) and +2 notoriety points. you must meet your requirements before october 31, 11:59 EST.

LEGACY PROJECT: FUTURE DREAM SEASON 001.

october is already nearing by, and so is our first trimester! the first season of ‘legacy project: future dreams’ will begin the upcoming weeks and trainees are given the choice to participate in the survival if they wish. the first season will last from october until end of december. if someone decides to not take part in the show this trimester, they may always join in the following one.

tasks for the trimester will be divided in two parts - much like the concert - of roughly one month and a half each. if your muse is debut ready, you may sign up for the show from SEPTEMBER 22 until NOVEMBER 10, 11:59PM EST. while a muse may not be debut ready by october 1, if they become debut ready anytime by november 10, they may join the show at that moment. ic wise, it will be considered that they joined from the beginning.

to join the show, trainees have to sign a contract that covers many grounds; from their conduct, pay, schedule and vacation. here are the main lines:

trainees must in no way take part in, or perform, illegal activities, 

trainees must in no way perform acts that could cause harm to their image or the company’s,

while legacy entertainment has no control over trainees personal lives, dating is not encouraged and having a public relationship is forbidden as it could cause harm to the trainee's image or the company,

trainees cannot own any type of social media, their image is managed and owned by the company,

legacy entertainment is the sole employer of the trainee. they also cannot take jobs without legacy entertainment's approval (this means that a trainee taking part in the show cannot have a part time job),

cameras will roll from 12PM to 12AM from monday to friday. official working hours are from 2PM until 10PM from monday to friday.

trainees are paid 100,000 won per day, for a total of 500,000 won every week. the pay covers the show and every related activities.

trainees currently attending an education institution must comply with the company's schedule. high school students are encouraged to transfer to arts school that allow flexible schedules and some classes to be credited.

saturday and sundays are off and trainees are free to do what they please with their free time. however, they must let a manager know where they are at all time and still follow the above mentioned line of conduct.

legacy entertainment might follow a trainee without their consent if they have valid reasons to believe that any of the above mention clauses aren't respected

two weeks ago, we gave the opportunity for trainees to host their own vlive show! today we officially announce to you the three shows that will be aired on vlive this trimester!

The Tea With Tees, a prerecorded show hosted by @lgcseungmin. starting on OCTOBER 12

Dance Showdown, a prerecorded show hosted by @lgcjaesun. starting on OCTOBER 16

Wish A Style - Be an LGC Idol For a Day, a live show hosted by @lgchime. starting on OCTOBER 19.

we will give them the pleasure to introduce their shows themselves. under the cut, a reminder of certain rules from the original post for both hosts and guests.

host

management of the calendar and guests will be up to you; however, keep the main updated quickly for us to post your content on the lgcmedia account.

duration of the gig is from october to january. this could be extended if your muse is interested and if requirements are met.

since the show is biweekly, there will be 6 episodes of 45 minutes each.

you may write up to three (3) threads of four (4) replies minimum each to collect 3 hosting/mc, 3 variety and 3 notoriety per episode (for a maximum total of 9 hosting/mc, 9 variety and 9 notoriety).

to be eligible to keep your show another trimester, you must complete at least 2 threads.

guest

if there is more than one show ongoing –– since open slots are limited (6 per show) ––your muse may only guest on one show during a trimester. 

for the time being, hosts cannot guest on another show.

to avoid overwhelming hosts, they aren’t obligated to thread with their six (6) guests and may only collect points for three (3) threads.

guests without threads will be rewarded 1 hosting, 1 variety and 1 notoriety. 

guests with threads will be rewarded 2 hosting, 2 variety, 2 notoriety.

with the opening of the trainees’ official vlive account comes the first gig opportunity! entertainers often do not stick to one thing –– this is why idols, singers, comedians and actors will often become regulars on one or many shows. this helps to create a personal brand for themselves and raise public awareness about who they are. in fact, many artists have found greater success through a regular gig on a show than in their own respective fields.

while legacy entertainment isn’t trying to recreate this last scenario, the company does wish to make more content available to fans and potential fans to get to know the trainees better. this is one of the primary reasons why they decided to now launch all of their social media accounts. with that in mind, trainees are notified that they may pitch in ideas to host their very own biweekly show on the brand new vlive channel.

to host a show and pitch an idea:

a trainee must have at least 50 skill points in either hosting/mc or variety. please keep in mind their skills while pitching an idea –– someone with 50 variety skill and 0 hosting would have a hard time hosting a simple talk show, while someone with 50 hosting and 0 variety would have difficulties hosting a game show.

you may not team up with another muse, but remember that there will be a guest on every episode.
